Phisically I think they are very similar to wolves, similar shape of head, size, length of neck, proportions in general... some of the other dogs in the video can't even raise their head enough to keep their throat vertical so they can't produce long and powerful howls
They look basically the same I reckon back in the day they would be about the same size as well but breed too be smaller and less intimidating probably
My Pug likes to howl at police sirens, other two crosses don't howl at all. I did DNA tests on all three and the funny thing is the Pug has above average amount of wolf DNA (1.8% Wolfiness which is high, normally about 1%.). And she is the one that howls. The other two couldn't care less!

A howl has no meaning. In the wild. When wolves howl it's to locate each other via sound. It's like yelling out to your kids and hearing all kids in the park yell back. It helps dogs define territory and find pack mates.

A howl has no meaning. In the wild. When wolves howl it's to locate each other via sound. It's like yelling out to your kids and hearing all kids in the park yell back. It helps dogs define territory and find pack mates.
