For Ben Stein to refer to Richard Nixon as a saint tells me he has no clue of what right and wrong actually is. I would be embarrassed to be 70 years old and not understand that a dishonorable, tyrannical, and evil criminal is not a saint.
Ben Stein is a FREAK and no doubt a HUGE FAN of the Republican Party’s most most deviant criminal POTUS in the history of our country… who makes Nixon look like a Boy Scout. At least Nixon did SOME good things with his presidency; in fact, if he wasn’t so paranoid and mentally I’ll he would have gone down as a solid POTUS!
While I think calling him a saint is certainly undeserved based on what he’s done, I also think it’s a stretch to call him evil and tyrannical. He was certainly dishonest and his methods to victory were politically unethical, but don’t throw around big words like evil and tyrannical unless it’s deserved - it lessens the impact from figures who are truly deserving of those titles (Hitler, Stalin, Gaddafi, etc). And y’all didn’t know him personally like Ben. Don’t invalidate his experience and say it’s false when 1) your knowledge about the situation and Nixon is limited to public information and general perception, and 2) you don’t have the right to dictate someone else’s experiences of someone. No hate, just think it’s important to understand and address.

A great and important story. But, why do documentaries have to have 48 different talking heads. Some of whom have no business being 'talking head experts'. One narrator is all you need. Let the story be your drama. You don't have to try and increase the drama by having 12 people echo what the narrator is talking about.
Nixon was a big bureaucrat. He created more government agencies that have become a burden to the taxpayer. The ATF, DEA, OSHA, etc. He might have meant well, but these agencies are not necessary. It is up to the states to regulate commerce and legal protections, not the federal government.
FALSE•Technically it is operationally impossible for federal taxes to be recycled. Federal taxes NEVER provide revenue nor funding for govt spending. State and municipal taxes are revenue but federal taxes NEVER fund any spending. The US is monetarily sovereign and doesn’t need an income to spend because it issues the currency. All spending is new dollars as a result of political will in congress(known as “high powered money” because it is bank deposits + bank reserves). Federal taxes do the reverse resulting in deleted funds from the bank account and deleted reserves from the bank’s reserve account. Therefore re-spending is operationally non-existent. Once the reserves are deleted from the reserve system all that is left is bookkeeping for the IRS, Fed, treasury, and Social security etc. for allocation purposes. So, what needs to happen is a shift in political will to what benefits Main St/the 99% Even Social security is just a spreadsheet for accounting and allocation purposes, not an account full of contributions. Shocking maybe, but since leaving the gold standard domestically in ‘33 via FDR, federal taxes have definitely not been revenue because there was no longer a gold standard to defend.

The second I seen rachel maddow I was like...im outta here what a joke
There's a reason the best journalists in the world were interviewed for this doc... And none of Trump's henchmen.
@al2275 what's the point in believing things you know yourself to be a lie...whats the point?
Bogus. Go away...
Watergate was all a scam by the military industrial complex Eisenhower warned us about in his farewell address to get Nixon out of office before he exposed the Kennedys assassinations. It’s all a ruse.
Oh please. You didn't say anything about Trump. He committed high treason. And that's not all.
Ron Reagan jr aka Rachel Maddow
If you’re saying we need more like then both, I concur. 👍🏽
IF Bdii,m had ANY pity on AMERICA......and knew WHAT WAS the right thing to do....he'd consider resigning....
WTF is the green blob in the upper left corner? Very distracting.
You have to change the video in some way or can get it blocked in certain Markets Mostly in the United States and English speaking Countries you can get a strike on your channel or just get deleted. I have some videos about JFK that is geo-blocked in the United States, Canada, and in the UK
The minute i saw rachel maddow commenting i had to stop watching...
What's that green light? Very disturbing!!
I tried uploading it several times and it got copyrighted every time till I put the green light in it. Sorry it was the only way I was going to be able to upload it... the movie still has the claim on it but figured people might want to see it and not have the money or don't want to pay for a political movie
@@Thatninetykid I like it. Reminds me of Planet Of The Apes 😉
Wahhhh
A great and important story. But, why do documentaries have to have 48 different talking heads. Some of whom have no business being 'talking head experts'.
One narrator is all you need. Let the story be your drama. You don't have to try and increase the drama by having 12 people echo what the narrator is talking about.
Go make one then.
@@mortalclown3812 Thanks, good idea. But, there are better documentaries out there on this subject. So, I guess I don't need to.
Don’t you mean a *green and important story ?
😅
So, what needs to happen is a shift in political will to what benefits Main St/the 99%
Even Social security is just a spreadsheet for accounting and allocation purposes, not an account full of contributions.
Shocking maybe, but since leaving the gold standard domestically in ‘33 via FDR, federal taxes have definitely not been revenue because there was no longer a gold standard to defend.
You're thinking of the Articles of Confedetation. We use the Constitution now, which includes the interstate commerce clause. There's so many issues with the final sentence of your comment I don't know where to start.
@@evanfinch4987 I was losely quoting Ron Paul in the last sentence. We have courts to sue if damages can be proved by an action, service or product. We don't need some big bloated beurocratic agency to be our nannies. Period.
Alpha ..bet a thru m...n thru a..we see your edu.
Dude, lose the green.
It's a political documentary. Not BBC Earth. 😂
@@mortalclown3812 Nope, gotta lose the fucking green. Very simple.
THIS IS A PUBLIC RELATIONS VIDEO,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,BEYOND THAT IT HAS NO VALUE !
