I gave it a stim, it gave me a medkit, I gave its buddy the medkit and he gave me a red stim, I gave that to his buddy and got a gummy which I gave to his other buddy to then get a gravelight.

Thing you missed: there's a low chance that a candlebearer will be about twice it's size and only slowed down by a flashlight.
