In our 2 days trip to manali, we chose to stay in Johnson's cafe and hotel as it is very close to mall road manali. You can simply walk to the market and everything is easily accessible from there. The rooms are pretty good and comfortable and the hotel staff is willing to help you with all your ad hoc requests. Their cafe is the highlighting feature of this hotel as they server amazing food and have live band performances in the nights over weekends.
For the next 2 days of our trip when we planned to visit solang valley, atal tunnel and khoksar village, we chose to stay in Span resorts and Spa Manali.
It is located just by the river beas and offer awesome views. Situated around 15 km from manali ,it is midway when you go to manali from kullu airport.
Many celebrities prefer to stay in this resort in manali when they visit manali and also the movie 'Yeh jawaani hai deewani' has been filmed at this resort.
