How is the example given at the beginning different from the not using perfectionism as a weakness common error near the end of the video? Second, don't all schools value collaboration so using the difficulty delegating would be harmful? Thanks for any additional guidance/clarity you can provide here!
My greatest weakness is procrastinate. Whenever I assigned to some work. I start when I'm close to due date. But when I procrastinate those things, I always think about it in creative way... Actually I can come up with creative work even I'm near due date. Sometimes it makes me streesed that I may not able to submit. So I decided to not get stressed and now working on it. During pandemic, I helped myself by assigning work last night and doing next day and reward myself. Actually I motivated me . yet , I'm working on it. Is this appropriate answer? My original weakness is this. I can't think of any other.
This was a really helpful video. Thanks for sharing! I have an interview for a research position and my biggest weakness is doing any sort of mathematical calculations. Although this is not the job's prime requirement, everyone considers that if someone has applied for a professional position, such things will be obviously known by the applicant. Do you think this is something that can be mentioned as a weakness and if yes don't you think mentioning this can make me appear less in front of other candidates?
Hi there, I at times have difficulties in understanding things at one go but I always read up, ask questions and practice to improve. Would saying that difficulty in understanding at first go would be a negative thing to write about or say? Thank you!
We would not recommend communicating that to an interviewer. Perhaps you could instead focus on how committed you are to learning things you are passionate about. That would be a good reframe!
Enough to make your point. Nothing more, nothing less. Typically, answers should not exceed 2 minutes, but focus on delivering the right info, not the time.
What will you highlight as your greatest strength or weakness during med school interviews?
