IT'S DEAD, our van won't start | New project VW T4 Razorback

Not the update we wanted to give you. After another productive week working on the restoration of our new project, it looks like she has given up hope.

Great video again guys. Nice to see more progress on the t4 👏🏼
It seemed to me like the starter motor or solenoid has packed up. If you put a multi meter on the starter connectors you should get 12v when turning the key. If you do it's the motor dead. If not it could be ignition switch or connection issue somewhere.

There is a small cable that attaches to the side of the starter motor. The cable is linked to the ignition and is prone to bad connection.
Find cable that goes to starter motor, pull it off the spade connector and trim wire adding a new connector. Clean up the spade on starter and give it a go

I'm sure that you'll sort the problem out Chris..... good luck on that. If the van was mine, I'd get the vehicle 'wrapped'. It'd look great and with a nice set of alloys, it would be unrecognisable.

🙏 Chris, have you ever heard of Dinitrol? It's the dogs b******s when it comes to underbody rust protection. It lasts between 2-5yrs. My hubby uses it on his Land-rovers, and you know how Landys are renowned for rusting, well he has never had a Land-rover rust yet using this. It's top dollar but boy does it work!!! I hope you're able to get the van to start, it'll probably be something really simple, but it's just a case of finding it! Colour....maybe black? And the brake pads yellow? Fingers crossed for starting it soon 🤞🤞
