lesslighter ReactorCraft I can understand but Ender IO and RotaryCraft seem fine enough for PCs to handle, and when you have a pack with FTB that on average has more than 100 mods, I am sure you are advised to have a good enough PC to handle it.
One thing you forgot to cover on the power monitor is the engine control under the redstone tab you can set a range of power to keep stored if you fall below it the power monitor will emit a redstone signal you can use to start up your power gen solution
No, its conduits turn any energy into UU (Universal Units), which any machine from any more (regardless of the unit) can use-- Thermal Expansion can be powered by UU similar to how Mekanism machines can be powered by UU in the same way that IC2 machines can use UU to power them.
What's the point of using the farming station instead of the minefactory reloaded planter and harvester? seems like the station takes a massive amount of power and there's pipes would need to come out the top (for items) if the power is coming from below (or vice versa).
I prefer using apiarist pipes for the alveary piping and AE storage bus on frames, with its own AE network just importing all the frames to be 'stored' in it.
(spoiler) good call on ender io. i was one of a lot of people who asked for this mod in the pack. this is going to be a great early and mid game mod, and the compacting the wires and fluiducts, etc. is going to make some pretty compact builds. you could probably make yourself a challange of making no contraption bigger then a 9x9 (or smaller)....
SPOILER FOR EVERYONE WHO NOT HAS PLAYED WITH ENDER IO YET! it is pretty much possible and one of the best features is that you can camouflage every piece of cable AND access them afterwards, even rewiring them without breaking everything like covers or facades ^^ Ender IO is one of my favourite Mods of all time just because of the conduits alone, the other machines and storages are making this mod even better :D
the best part of the capacitor banks is that they dont even need to be placed as a cube, you could place them like a snake and they still would work as a big one :D
Jason Anaminus Going by the video since I haven't played with it in a while, I would say it doesn't give out to machines directly, but yes you could use them as a crazy conduit system with proper conduits just in between the capacitors and the machines you want to power. Although they might power directly since they accept power directly, might just be the network viewer machine he was displaying doesn't accept directly from it. Best way is just to try it out yourself.
One disadvantage of the capacitor bank. It takes 10 blocks to store what one resonant energy cell can store. Its kinda irritating if you just want rf storage.
I believe to store an exorbitant amount of stuff you should have to take up space. Plus as Bleualtair said, much much bigger output. So you don't have to worry about how many machines you have feeding off it.
Quikcksilver Pretty much, and I have it on really good authority from one of the beta testers that the 1.7.10 DW20 pack should, barring any nasty bugs that pop up, be released by the end of this month ;)
So much functionality identical or mostly identical to Buildcraft and Thermal Expansion. Seem a bit redundant - would be nice if the mod did more original stuff instead.
Awesome, I like the new stuff. But please, please Direwolf20 give us a DW20-1.7.10 beta, with cherry on top? I've got a whole host of players waiting to try it :)
try practicalities mod! it's simply awesome and OP but expensive as hell! i will give you that 1 tool = 56 nether star :/ you see now the expensiveness..
Wow they added so much since the last time i used this mod. Back then only the conduits and 4 machines were in it. one being the tesseract like block
I'm starting to really like this mod. Thanks for showing it off Dire.
Two mod hints: EnderIO and Big Reactors. I'm excited for the new things!!
And Redstone Arsenal and Botania.
Nope, EnderIO + Rotarycraft + ReactorCraft = BAZINGA !
Wow, there is finally something (relatively) cheap enough to hold all of the power being produced by my reactor!
lesslighter
ReactorCraft I can understand but Ender IO and RotaryCraft seem fine enough for PCs to handle, and when you have a pack with FTB that on average has more than 100 mods, I am sure you are advised to have a good enough PC to handle it.
Zeeeeemo all of the mods I've tried with the exception of reactor craft & rotary craft my shitty laptop can handle (with only a 4-5 fps decrease)
Ender IO is my absolute favorite mod. Glad you did a spotlight on it!
EnderIO sure went a long way since last time i looked it.
Especially that light glass is something that has taken a shine to me!
...no pun intended.
yea its really cool i was gonna use vibrant quartz glass but it does particles which i dont like so this is much better
i had to put the pressure plate in the panter before the quite clear glass but it did work for me in that order
One thing you forgot to cover on the power monitor is the engine control under the redstone tab you can set a range of power to keep stored if you fall below it the power monitor will emit a redstone signal you can use to start up your power gen solution
I'm getting kind of excited to use this mod...
This mod looks amazing, thank you Direwolf20!
Could you make a new spotlight on mechanism as well? Because that is also a vreat mod and its conduits can transform for example rf to eu.
its called Mekanism
plz dire:)
No, its conduits turn any energy into UU (Universal Units), which any machine from any more (regardless of the unit) can use-- Thermal Expansion can be powered by UU similar to how Mekanism machines can be powered by UU in the same way that IC2 machines can use UU to power them.
I would rather use EnderIO....
19:07 Thanks, Wireless Charger! Very Cool
one of the best mod of this year
I think Dire's got a new favourite mod. :)
This is a pretty powerful mod.
Huge power input? Big-Reactors spotlight :D I got it.
What's the point of using the farming station instead of the minefactory reloaded planter and harvester? seems like the station takes a massive amount of power and there's pipes would need to come out the top (for items) if the power is coming from below (or vice versa).
Reminds me of TE going for open blocks - what can be better?!
EnderIO's Item ducts are awesome for Bees!
Do u have a pic with enderio and bees?
I prefer using apiarist pipes for the alveary piping and AE storage bus on frames, with its own AE network just importing all the frames to be 'stored' in it.
With the EnderIO Painter, Direwolf20's builds can be even more boring and mundane than ever!! :D
What is the mod that shows extra info for items and blocks when you hover over them in the UI? (that appears at the top center of the screen)
(spoiler) good call on ender io. i was one of a lot of people who asked for this mod in the pack. this is going to be a great early and mid game mod, and the compacting the wires and fluiducts, etc. is going to make some pretty compact builds. you could probably make yourself a challange of making no contraption bigger then a 9x9 (or smaller)....

for the farming station, how does it work with water atrichokes from witchery? :o
You can even make vertical reservoirs
3:27 big reactors? :P
Conduits in... part 5
He is just leaving the best for the end.
"im sorry, there is just so much to cover!"
what is he using from his minimap??
theres big reactors in the 1.7,0 modpack he kinda hinted it
Capacitor banks look cool af in my opinion
After seeing the capasitor bank,
Im DYING TO PLAY WITH THIS MOD
the best part of the capacitor banks is that they dont even need to be placed as a cube, you could place them like a snake and they still would work as a big one :D
Filly Luna So you can use it as a (crazy) conduit that gives off crazy amaounts to machines? or does it only gives off to another conduits?
Jason Anaminus Going by the video since I haven't played with it in a while, I would say it doesn't give out to machines directly, but yes you could use them as a crazy conduit system with proper conduits just in between the capacitors and the machines you want to power. One disadvantage of the capacitor bank. It takes 10 blocks to store what one resonant energy cell can store. Its kinda irritating if you just want rf storage.
U know that the power monitor connects to capacitor banks and that u can control engines with the monitor?
Yea but its less expensive than a resonant energy cell.
It has a MUCH bigger output per tick
which makes it by far, a lot better
I believe to store an exorbitant amount of stuff you should have to take up space. Plus as Bleualtair said, much much bigger output. So you don't have to worry about how many machines you have feeding off it.
There is a config option for how much it can store.
Make a Mekanism mod spotlight! It's a cool mod and you can get a bit op with it
I replaced IC2 with this quite a while ago. Haven't looked back ever since.
Yeah, screw obscene crafting times and steps. Plus this has some way cooler machines in it.
I will replace Thermal Expansion with this xD
Wunderharke5000 Well for example, you can use one of those alloy furnaces to make alloyes with AE for example.
ExiledAlchemist
The Pressurized Fluid Tank is Ender IO's Fluid Transposer.
ExiledAlchemist Well, all of the things from Thermal Expansion I use are in EnderIO (Tesseracts are Dimensional Transceivers for example)
What means exactly "wither proof"? resistent to any explosions?
The wither boss can't blow it up
okay... so like reinforced obsidian
check out mekanism too
Direwolf20 I would like to ask and we will make the direwolf20 version 1.7.10, brings possible to get code?
It will just come up as one of the packs. You won't need a code to get it.
Work videó.
Quikcksilver Pretty much, and I have it on really good authority from one of the beta testers that the 1.7.10 DW20 pack should, barring any nasty bugs that pop up, be released by the end of this month ;)
"If you like to decorate your home with.... dirt!" -> Who doenst!
Ray from Rooster Teeth will like this.
I ave the strangest urge to put a name tag that says "Tim" on the enchanter block
So much functionality identical or mostly identical to Buildcraft and Thermal Expansion. Seem a bit redundant - would be nice if the mod did more original stuff instead.
Please do a spotlight over the electrical age mod
Omg, he has to.
is that ars magica mana?
can I install this mod on its own on my vanilla world?
You would probably need thermal foundry of cohf core to run this
Tom Jerry you can. There is no world gen, and if metals like copper etc arnt available vanilla materials will be used automactically
CrazyPantsMC thanks
oh noes a block that lets direwolf paint any block stone brick. :P
I love this mod
I am kindda lost. Is this ep 1 or 2?
I see the title, but ep 1 is not showing for me on his channel
homem makako Just go into the videos he made and it's the one before crash landing 20
Quikcksilver that's where I was, but the video wasn't showing. I closed and opened the app and it worked. Must be a mobile version bug.
I foresee a 9x9 of capacitor banks XD
what mods did he use in that vid
and how does he use wichery on 1.12.2?
@@Prismatic3127 this video is from 2014. 1.12 didn't exist until 2017. The Minecraft version for this mod spotlight is 1.7.
when will this be in youre mod pack?
I think it will
Awesome, I like the new stuff. But please, please Direwolf20 give us a DW20-1.7.10 beta, with cherry on top? I've got a whole host of players waiting to try it :)
I think there is on the launcher...
David Brodock
Not in the ftb launcher...sadface.
Xario Withoutalastname oh I know fireball streams it if you want to see the alpha version then
Yay! Love this mod
Great Work Keep It Up Dire :-)
try practicalities mod! it's simply awesome and OP but expensive as hell! i will give you that 1 tool = 56 nether star :/ you see now the expensiveness..
im going to check ars magica
new favorite mod lol
That profile pic really emphasized that lol
Still no conduits? >:( at least stop teasing them
It's in part 3
3:49 less computer craft yaay:D
lol, I hear u
omfg ths mod is amazing

i want a plasma reactor
Hi
