- Exploring Son Doong cave in Vietnam. This is my first video from the series of exploring the world with camera. Subscribe for more, new video every week!
Special thanks to Oxalis for the unforgettable adventure and for some of the footage.
Some interesting facts about the cave:
1. Son Doong Cave is the world’s largest cave, measuring an incredible 5 kilometers long and reaching up to 200 meters tall. Some spot even 300+ m from lower levels.
2. The cave was accidentally discovered in 1991 by a local farmer named Ho Khanh.
3. The name Son Doong is derived from the Vietnamese words “Sơn” (mountain) and “đoòng” (cave). So it's literally a Mountain cave :)
4. The cave is home to its own ecosystem, complete with its own climate, jungle, and rivers.
5. The cave is so large that it’s estimated to contain enough space to fit an entire New York City block.
6. The cave contains the world’s largest stalagmite, which is estimated to be over 70 meters tall.
7. For safety reasons, visitors are only allowed to explore the cave with a professional guide under Oxalis company.
8. Son Doong Cave is one of the few places in the world where you can experience total darkness.
Honored to be one of the first to encounter the birth of this channel! :-)

VIETNAM IS the best !!! I love VIETNAM
Son Doong Cave has a river flowing inside the cave, and there are places to dive to a depth of up to 95 meters
Wow, what an AMAZING once in a lifetime experience...I would love to be able to do this before I die. You really cannot tell how big the cave is until you use the people for scale. Incredible!!

How beautiful Daniel! What a treasured expedition for all who do this. Personally I’d go just for that campsite alone (which of course includes the mighty cave it’s in!)
After watching your video editing, I can't wait to see more of your productions some scenes made my eyes' irises expanded. CheersUp from Thailand
absolutely amazing mate!! cant wait for part 2. what an amazing adventure.
so incredible Daniel!! We did Tu Lan last month it was technical and so epic! Unfortunately for us It was difficult to film or video the technical part of the trek because you would need to focus on your footing and griping inside the caves, not to mention keeping your cameras away from getting wet and dropping or hitting rock walls. May I ask what equipment you used to film or video and how you were able to carry your equipment? Thank you for sharing this. We just booked Son Doong tour for next year!
Daniel, this video is amazing! I am sure that your channel will grow to be really succesful. Congratulations!
