Do like I did 15 years ago; obtain a second passport in a friendly country. This is becoming increasingly difficult. Next, regardless how much time before your passport expires, get it renewed NOW while Biden is in office and keep it handy should the need to leave the United States for an extended time or permanently. Three, doing all that, if you can purchase place to live outside the United States do that as well. Nowhere on Earth is perfect but the United States is becoming much less so. Get out while you can. My fear is that friendly countries will start to shut the door on Americans going forward.
