Yes, boarding pay! My issue was...they're NOT paying FAs to do pre-flight safety checks(???!!!), which is INSANE, because SAFETY is priority one! So glad this is all changing because the pay needs to be way more fair than it has been!
As a 3rd year junior FA, I’m excited for the new wages and work rules to go into place. Sadly, I’ve been flying somewhat high time (110/115 hrs) for the past 2 years. So the retro check will be a little life changing for myself. I already feel a lot less stressed and can actually afford to live in DFW lol. Safe travels Kelly!
First time leaving a comment here 😊 I just absolutely love your channel and adore your personality❤ I’m recent CJO holder from AA and hopefully someday I can fly with you!
Kelly, this is such GREAT news!! I am so, so happy for you! FINALLY, eh? Sheesh...and although I think you should be paid your normal pay from the second you step onboard, something is better than nothing...for NOW. I'd love to see it be fair all the way around!! It was so good to see you guys on this Carp day...let me know whenever you want to come visit us in Idaho! We leave in 3 days. AHHH....love you guys! xoxo
Kelly, am very happy about the entire contract news. AA people have waited a LOOOOOONG time. Think boarding pay should really be more than credit hours, since it seems to be most chaotic work time. AND, about time to compensate the crew when all these errors occur in securing accommodations like hotels and shuttles. You explain it very simply. Best thing about you is how easy you come across when conversing with us and how realistic you are. (CALI actually is a half word I do not like). Will just say we are LUCKY enough to be from CA. DONUTS are my favorite food after the Napoleon French pastry. Have always liked Randy’s, close to LAX, as well as California Donuts on New Hampshire somewhere between Beverly and Wilshire in K-Town. Check it out. Know you are familiar with Randy’s on Manchester. Take care. Herman
Certainly it will help morale. My very first flight was with AA in September 1963. 707 Astrojet from LAX to DAL(only a Love Field then) flight 62 (LAX DAL MEM BNA JFK (Idyllwild then)) and back home on 707 flight 55 with exact reversal of same legs. At that time, 55 had one of the top 10 load factors across all legs of all flights in the company Jeez, this is dredging up old history. I turned 22 day before flying 62, which was a 0215 red eye departure from LAX. Stay safe and take the jump seat when turbulence puts the light on - and STAY in it until sign goes off 😀Herman
I wish they would pay you when you have a 2-3 hour sit in between flights because I think you are technically still on the clock. This new contract is a step in the right direction.
Not really. The Schedule is all over the place, especially for new hires. You'll have to work all hours and days, not really a set schedule with this job

Thanks Herman! It has been a long time for this contract. Lot's of ups and downs but hopefully things will be looking up for us

That's great news. Congratulations
Happy for you.
Congratulations 🎉 on your new contract! Thank you for the information!
Thank you!! Excited to see what happens in the next few months
So glad you have a better pay Kelly. Such a great beach there. They should double your/FAs pay.
so so excited for you guys and hoping that it paves the way for those of us who are still in negotiations! (how many avocados have you gotten so far?)
Great news. Have an amazing week. Cheers.
Hi Kelly glad you posted ❤❤❤
Congratulations on your new contract. All workers need to be organized, obviously.
Pumped for you!
I wish they would pay you when you have a 2-3 hour sit in between flights because I think you are technically still on the clock. This new contract is a step in the right direction.
Congrats on the contract! How are the out of base pick ups going to work?
What work rules are changed for new hires? Curious to see if it’ll be better for them also!
Congratulations on the new contract! I always thought it was crazy that you weren't paid for boardng
I think so too
Union stuff lol I'm a ground maintenance with ur company didn't wanna say who but we get our pay raise and stuff 😅😊
Will boarding pay stop if boarding takes longer than expected (due to maintenance, etc.)?
The best donuts are from sidecar in Santa Monica. Expensive though.
Yeah, sidecar has a good donut for sure
Will you be paid some portion of your pay when you have, say a 2 hr sit, at the airport waiting for your next flight? Thanks.
Congratulations 😊
Congrats! Can you work only certain months, like summer, if you have children or can't give away hours even if there is no pay?
Not really. The Schedule is all over the place, especially for new hires. You'll have to work all hours and days, not really a set schedule with this job
Congratulations, Kelly. So, now what are you going to do to celebrate this great news
Avocado on everything!
How many paid vacations day on your 1st year?
I never understood why fa didn’t get paid for the pre board stuff. It’s all work, right?
