New rider who learned 2 wheel motorcycle in October 2022. Learned on a Grom bought a Navi. Then learned how to ride a Ryker 600 July 2023. Sold my Grom. I want to sell my navi too, but I’m being told by other Can-Am riders that I should invest in the rally or at least a 900 Ryker. The dealer recommended the 900 sport to me. I’ve been looking for a good used deal and I’ve been eyeing the rally for the longest time but the one thing I know I don’t need is what that is pretty much for because I won’t be going down dirt trails. Also, the akrapovic exhaust is pretty quiet. I would want to change that out to a louder exhaust. I definitely prefer the comfort seat. The roads around me are rough, so I think that’s why the dealer recommended the sport to me. After comparing apples to oranges, I think I’m in agreement that the sport would probably be the best model for me/where I live. Learning on the Ryker 600 was really fun and it was easy and I loved it. I’m just wondering how the 900 sport would be for me. I’m 44 and I loved my Can-Am Ryker experience. The only customizations I see myself doing other than cosmetics is adding on the speakers, and changing the exhaust. That’s why I am thinking the sport is probably the better lower cost option because why pay more to get the akrapovic exhaust if you just plan on changing the exhaust.
That's some food feedback right there. Agree on the pipe for sure. There is a good bit of difference between the 6/9. If you are local to us we actually just took in a mint 21 900 on trade. If we can help you trade out let us know. Appreciate you watching!!!
@@powersportssteve I’m not local to you unfortunately. I’ve been looking mostly on cycletrader. If your dealership is willing to ship the bike to me, I’d be interested in taking a look at your website. I’ll check for the link in your video description.
I don't usually get in to the price debate too much honestly. There is a gap, but then again there are models between those two as well. Thanks for watching!!
I don't specifically. If I do get one of that model I'll let you know. Feel free to subscribe and see what comes next. I do plan to do some ryker and spyder videos soon. Thanks for watching!
hello. I went and looked at the regular 900 and the sport 900. I originally thought I wanted the regular, but the salesman told me the shock absorption is better on the sport. I'll primarily be on the highway/city roads. Is the shock absorption significantly better in the sport over the regular? thanks (I was on 2023 models). Also, is the sport bigger? It felt like it was, but maybe it was just me.
Hey, thanks for watching!! The sport does have a set of better shocks on it. Is it significant? I don't know that I would use that word. The size is going to be the same as well. The one nice feature of moving up to the sport that is significant for me is cruise control. I hope that all helps!
What’s frustrating, as I get older , I can’t see my Ryker digital readout , Canam needs to get serious on our Speedo , 2024 model still rubbish 2022 Ryker Sport owner
My understanding is that new displays are coming across a wide range of their product offerings. I agree that the display needs a major update. Thanks for watching!!!
There is a neutral on Spyders, but not on rykers. I know some people will say you can move the lever between forward and reverse to create a want to be neutral, but that is not a neutral. If you do that, it will not take throttle, and you could easily cause damage to the trans or have an accident with a mishap. Just my.02 Appreciate you watching!

Hey just to keep you in the know there is a neutral on all the Rykers. 😉

I think it would be against the safety laws not to have some sort of neutral. ..
It is very hard to understand the model differences from this explanation
This guy seems so bored to talk about his Rikers, it’s unpleasant to listen to him
APPRECIATE THE COMMENT! Thanks for watching! :D
