As a Brazilian is incredibly funny to see someone so lost with rules that are natural to South American and Europeans. Nonetheless you guys can make a hell of an entertaining video. Congrats!
I love how every year Danny comes in for the Quick Looks and every year tries to explain to Jeff and whoever else is one the Quick Look about the sport of soccer but really kinda just half explains because we all know Jeff doesn't care. Makes me laugh every year.
+Mide Fatanmi and vancouver is 2nd in the west right now (last time i checked before just now they were first). toronto and montreal are more middle of the pack
+Slabs Are you from Ireland? Just that you very rarely get people calling them Shamrock over here, but you also don't get a huge amount of people even knowing who they are outside of Ireland.
+Luke Barry You were right the first time, no one calls them anything because no ones heard of them because they play in a near amateur league. I'd rather watch hurling than Irish league.
So looking forward to the PES quicklook! Amercians playing FIFA is probably best thing ever. I feel very much the same way about NHL games mind you! A keen fan of Brighton and Hove Albion of the English Championship ha!
Can you even call it "complete" without an in depth manager mode!? I want to be able to choose where I hide my bribe money, and which ref's to bribe! Can you even pick the governing league members after they resign in dishonor?!?
I don't really like soccer, but I never understood why people always bring up low scoring as a negative. It just seems like a childlike narrow mentality, like points are all that matter and the number has to be big. I'm no expert but I'd imagine a game could have 0 score and still be very close and competitive and exciting to watch in any sport. Most professional sports last like what, an hour or two? People are not constantly scoring in any sport, presumably the stuff in between scoring can be entertaining? We could just make each soccer goal count for 10 points, or institute a bunch of offence favoring rules but would that undermine the value and tension of scoring a goal? I don't know it just feels like complaining about a video game because the body count was so low.
+R0B1NG5 Exactly, I feel sports like basketball are completely boring and predictable, constant back and forth is tiresome and monotone, and the difference can usually mean that the final result can be obvious very early on.
+R0B1NG5 Not all games are low scoring though, it's one of those stereotype mentalities that people who don't watch a lot of soccer think, because they saw a game once, or they keep hearing people complain about it and reinforce that notion. Hockey can be just as bad sometimes, with a lot of 2-1 or 1-0 games especially when the Kings used to play a few years ago.
@@tajvader Soccer is also a constant back and forth though, it just doesn't involve scoring. I suppose it's easier to have a turn around in that case in theory, but basketball also has a lot more avenues for scoring at any given moment that I think compensates. Really I think comparing the two sports that way is kinda reductive.
Fifa dropped the ball this year big time. It's been a while since I have said that EA has made a great futbol game. Are they solid? Yes but they are lacking so much it terms of game play and improvements in sections of the game such as the career mode which I am pretty sure most of the audience plays but I guess EA only cares about ultimate team because it is a cash cow right now. PES 2016 for me this year and look at the reviews. PES has arguably made one of the best futbol games since fifa 12.
The governing body for the BPL is the FA (Football Association) and there are Canadian teams in the MLS. League 2 is the 3rd division. Seriously you guys are the worst for sports games, can you get someone who knows what they are talking about when you review sports games please? Every sports game so far this year has been horribly inaccurate and full of dumb questions and even worse answers.
"This is like explaining gravity to a baby."
- Danny O'Dwyer, in the year of our Lord 2015
"Probably shoot you in the eyes with paintballs" gotta love the subtle Byker Grove reference hahaha
Good job slipping in the Byker Grove reference Danny
Petr Cech (guy with the cap)is from the Czech Republic, not Russia. Just saying
I think that Dan Rykert was thinking of Fila
+beatchef Dan, thinking? I doubt it.
We need a super cut of GB going through the teams in all the sports games. All the FIFA games, Rugby, NFL, and more
danny the only one to trust for fifa
Now Duff.
Honestly I just want a full hour of Jeff Dan and Danny going through the team names and how Americans find various names funny haha
As a Brazilian is incredibly funny to see someone so lost with rules that are natural to South American and Europeans. Nonetheless you guys can make a hell of an entertaining video. Congrats!
"It's like trying to explain gravity to a baby." I love this quick look so much.
I love how every year Danny comes in for the Quick Looks and every year tries to explain to Jeff and whoever else is one the Quick Look about the sport of soccer but really kinda just half explains because we all know Jeff doesn't care. Makes me laugh every year.
After watching this, I'm almost sure Dan wears velcro strap shoes.
There are Canadian teams in the MLS, Toronto and Vancouver have teams.
+Mide Fatanmi forgot Montreal
+CutterHistorical oh yes, Montreal also
+Mide Fatanmi and vancouver is 2nd in the west right now (last time i checked before just now they were first). toronto and montreal are more middle of the pack
That's good to know and who is top currently, LA Galaxy?
Damien Duff DOES play for Shamrock, and he donates all his wages to charity.
+Slabs Are you from Ireland? Just that you very rarely get people calling them Shamrock over here, but you also don't get a huge amount of people even knowing who they are outside of Ireland.
+Luke Barry Nah, just remember the story about him signing for them in the summer. Classy move with the donation.
+Luke Barry plenty of people call them shamrock rovers...
Yeah obviously, because that's their name, but what I said was "Nobody calls them Shamrock".
+Luke Barry You were right the first time, no one calls them anything because no ones heard of them because they play in a near amateur league. I'd rather watch hurling than Irish league.
"Newcastle Unlimited."
fifa quick look is the test of how much i love giantbomb, when they start making silly jokes of things I love so much. this year i watched 2:20 :)
Danny's Byker Grove deep cut hitting me hard as Ant man is in the news today.
So looking forward to the PES quicklook! Amercians playing FIFA is probably best thing ever. I feel very much the same way about NHL games mind you! A keen fan of Brighton and Hove Albion of the English Championship ha!
Jeff with a John Olerud reference? Nice.
Sick John Olerud reference
Danny O' Dwyer nice Byker Grove reference.
Were they even trying to score???
Man, show PES some love; some ppl think its a better game
I can literally hear life time football fans heads exploding. Laughing my ass off. Thank you guys.
Pro Evo next?
We have Banco Popular in Chicago
Most goalkeepers retire at 40 + , or if they can't play anymore.
Hockey is the most exciting sport to watch and it is not nearly as popular as it should be. It's pretty much a better version of soccer.
soccer time !
does chumbawumba have a team?
Welp, Dan says Lambeau improperly.
Can you even call it "complete" without an in depth manager mode!? I want to be able to choose where I hide my bribe money, and which ref's to bribe!
Can you even pick the governing league members after they resign in dishonor?!?
Now do PES 2016

I totally agree, I'm no super sports fan but low scoring games are always the most enjoyable to watch.

I like both high-scoring and low-scoring sports.
Fuck me, right?
@@tajvader Soccer is also a constant back and forth though, it just doesn't involve scoring. I have no intrest in FIFA or football in general, I'm just here to witness Americans talk about it.
Hockey is the superior version of football
There, I said it
Goldkeeper!

Petr Cech is Czech. The clue's in the name.
Danny should be ashamed 😂
Why pick Classic XI versus Shamrock Rovers; it is obviously not a fair match ?!
After listening for 5 minutes I couldn't believe how ignorant a group of people could be
ITS FUN COZ 'MURICA, RIGHT GUYS?!?
(actually love GB, but... jesus)
Of course Dan doesn't know what a lob is. Sigh...
FA NOT EPL. YOURS SINCERELY.
Americans... smh
