    Wish The Stones would simply release the film footage of the WHOLE Ya Ya's concerts over the 2 nights they filmed. Would love to have seen the Midnight Rambler footage. 50th Anniversay is coming up in a few years. Mick, Keith ? Whadday say guys ?

      I doubt they have the rights to this footage. This has to be from the "Gimme Shelter" outtakes. The Maysles estate may own the rights to it or else the distributor of the film owns it.

    This was the song the Stones were playing onstage at Altamonte when Meredith Hunter was killed by the Hells Angels. You can watch it as it happens in the Stones movie Gimme Shelter. One of the spookiest film sequences ever.

    The only other segue I've heard them play was on Love You Live when they went from "If You Can't Rock Me" to Get Off of My Cloud" so it was a treat to hear this one.

      @@chriscoughlin9289 Exile is a masterpiece album, but I don't think they topped 1969 live. As time progressed the live performance became more spectacle than musically, Mick was in full cocaine mode and would rush through singing the songs; Mick Taylor was dominating the band a bit too much by 72 - here he is grooving with Keith and each are trading leads.

    A band in transition from Brian to mick Taylor , still very 60’s , the Rock concerts were happening but kind of new, people’s faces still with curiosity still discovering this band or attending for the first time actually listening to the music, great footage with jimmy .

    Mick Taylor was perfect for the Rolling Stones- The way he looked and his stage presence to the way he played. It seemed like in all those Stones songs Taylor played the perfect part. Musically nothing seemed impossible. I wonder if Jagger would have done differently- song credits, pay etc knowing what he knows now?

      Errrm No , think Taylor was leaving anyway had to get off the heroin , didn't manage it anyway . The guitar work was excellent and we missed so much potential progression with Taylor .

    So long ago. Saw them in that Oshawa, Canada benefit show after Keith got busted for weed in Toronto. Small arena, 5,000 seats or so. jeez, whole lifetime gone by.

    It looks like they are trying to show as little synced footage as possible. Hopefully they are preparing for a release in the future. It is documented that all three shows were filmed.

    Mick and Keith swapping leads on guitar that year!! Not long after this Mick would take over until he left the band.

      The band always swapped leads. It was done with Brian Jones and Keith Richards, and it continues today with Ron Wood and Richards.
