Wish The Stones would simply release the film footage of the WHOLE Ya Ya's concerts over the 2 nights they filmed. Would love to have seen the Midnight Rambler footage. 50th Anniversay is coming up in a few years. Mick, Keith ? Whadday say guys ?
I doubt they have the rights to this footage. This has to be from the "Gimme Shelter" outtakes. The Maysles estate may own the rights to it or else the distributor of the film owns it.
joe a. Jagger,Richards, Watts, Hendrix all shooting the shit in the bowels of Madison Square Garden before a show just hanging w fans. Never today! Gaga Nd Beyonce ain't doin that shit! Just to be a fly on that wall!
Mick Jagger and Jimi Hendrix Legends of Rock 'n Roll. 1. Jimi Hendrix the greatest guitarist of all time. The G.O.A.T. 2. The Rolling Stones the greatest Rock 'n Roll band of all time. The G.O.A.T.
In this video, Mick's voice and The Rolling Stones have, the art of thinking, with their music and the way they coincide, I get spellbound and nostalgic.
This was the song the Stones were playing onstage at Altamonte when Meredith Hunter was killed by the Hells Angels. You can watch it as it happens in the Stones movie Gimme Shelter. One of the spookiest film sequences ever.
The only other segue I've heard them play was on Love You Live when they went from "If You Can't Rock Me" to Get Off of My Cloud" so it was a treat to hear this one.
This is such a classical rock video by The Rolling Stones! I love the way Mick sings, and I remember his outfit. Thank you for posting this awesom video.
les Stones ont bercé mon adolescence. ..aujourd'hui à 51 ans le regard dans le vague et après quelques verres d'alcool. .. eh bien tout va bien.... yeaaah
@@chriscoughlin9289 Exile is a masterpiece album, but I don't think they topped 1969 live. As time progressed the live performance became more spectacle than musically, Mick was in full cocaine mode and would rush through singing the songs; Mick Taylor was dominating the band a bit too much by 72 - here he is grooving with Keith and each are trading leads.
A band in transition from Brian to mick Taylor , still very 60’s , the Rock concerts were happening but kind of new, people’s faces still with curiosity still discovering this band or attending for the first time actually listening to the music, great footage with jimmy .
I don't know about that...the footage of them from the Bridges to Bremen DVD in Chicago was bang-up brilliant with a great performance from the rhythm section.
Mick Taylor was perfect for the Rolling Stones- The way he looked and his stage presence to the way he played. It seemed like in all those Stones songs Taylor played the perfect part. Musically nothing seemed impossible. I wonder if Jagger would have done differently- song credits, pay etc knowing what he knows now?
Errrm No , think Taylor was leaving anyway had to get off the heroin , didn't manage it anyway . The guitar work was excellent and we missed so much potential progression with Taylor .
So long ago. Saw them in that Oshawa, Canada benefit show after Keith got busted for weed in Toronto. Small arena, 5,000 seats or so. jeez, whole lifetime gone by.
It looks like they are trying to show as little synced footage as possible. Hopefully they are preparing for a release in the future. It is documented that all three shows were filmed.
We're all going to be gone before they release it. Why do they hold on to these gems? I've finnally heard the sound table recordings from most of those shows and their is nothing to be embarrassed about.
@@teleguy5699 I think it could happen eventually with the release of the get back documentary. I’m hoping Peter Jackson could pick the project up and release all the shows from the Mick Taylor era.
@@dalesmith4026 Funny you mentioned that, because I mentioned that during a Stones discussion a few months ago, "pleading" Peter Jackson to do the same for the '69 tour. Great minds think alike. We can only hope The Stones get the same courtesy for their sake and the world's.
Jimi is asking Keith has he seen Linda and Keith replies no I haven’t, have you? I think Jimi was really in love with Linda Keith. Wrote the song Red House for her.
The Rolling Stones are the God's of Rock
This version is good, but the Altamont version is in a whole other level. Such a sinister performance...
They were almost quite literally playing for their lives.
well when you consider the shooting part of it
This slowed down version is so cool!
Yes!
Great version!!
The version they do on the 80’81 tour is completely different than this but they are both fantastic ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Bill Wyman's bass is on the money!
This song is a mix of rock and samba and it's MAGIC.
seen this show 69 MSG. just them no frills. AWESOME
IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS.
love it
Linn Vaveon You're probably right, but close is MC5/Kick Out the Jams long version. Lol.

Alan Bravender you have to ask Jodie Klein about that as ABKCO owns The Rolling Stones catalogue from the era
yeah the 50th anniversary is in a few days now but they only seem to be releasing brussels affair footage
@@ctrlshiftqq9846 They own that audio, though. Their stuff from the 60s is owned by ABKCO.

How cool is that to see Jimi Hendrix shootin' the breeze with Mick Taylor and Richards. I would have killed to be in that room.
eight inches me too! 3 legendary guitarists in the same room. I would give anything to be there!
What were they talking about?
Just too freakin' cool my man,Just too freakin' groovy.

Mick Taylor is the Greatest Guitar Player of All Time
His solo at 1:44 here proves that
The best version
My favorite version of "under my thumb" this was a great tour of the 1969, beautiful the footage with Jimi Hendrix.
I LOVE the footage of Jimi Hendrix and The Stones backstage! So cool, and so rare!
Awesome; complete rawness. Man, Mick Taylor brought such great playing.
Keith is playing leads here Taylor is strumming
Mick Jaggers got about the coolest voice in rock history.

Very true. How do you insert the 1:44 in your comments?
That's Keith soloing. Taylor is playing rhythm here.

The Rolling Stones❤❤ 💕💕
Mick Taylor was getting some Jimi Hendrix experience! Jimi should have made an appearance on that show, that would have been sensational!

Best years of the stones Mick T
Yeah but I think you got excited about the guitar played by Keith here actually. Mick's guitar is very modest on this version, just filling

Kieth Richard’s solo in this song 🎵
Miss Bryan on the xylophone.

Mick and Keith swapping leads on guitar that year!! Not long after this Mick would take over until he left the band.
The band always swapped leads. It was done with Brian Jones and Keith Richards, and it continues today with Ron Wood and Richards.
