Definitely an alien plague or something like that. Zeus's baby glows blue when he pulls it out and the light fades when it dies. When his head explodes his blood is blue. A couple zombies have blue eyes and metallic skeletons underneath. And they straight up left Area 51 in the beginning...
It would explain why so many scenes and things that characters do make zero sense. Maybe we are seeing cuts from multiple timelines all pieced together to appear as one timeline.

If I ruined the experience for you by expressing my distaste for the film, I am sorry. You have my permission to like things I do not.
I hope the time loop theory is actually true. It would be nice to see a favorable ending where most of the team members we enjoy survive. And also discover new angles concerning the aliens & robot zombies.
I think this amplifies the themes of the movie. The fact that people go into gambling or risky activities thinking they will do it differently when they are unknowingly retreading the same steps towards inevitable ruin
I wondered if this a more video game element to it, some of the zombies seem to have faint blue glow and almost an electrical reaction to be shot. My theory is this is a fourth loop as said but it a video game, the characters being used for different runs and reruns trying to do it with different outcome and team load outs
there are actually several robot zombies (the ones with glowing eyes), this is confirmed but we dont know what they mean, Snyder teased its either government planted survilance, to infiltrate the zombies, or some kind of next evolution of some otherworld technology or something like that
The ending was stupid lmao. Also, a sequel wouldn't make sense because that plane is definitely going to crash once everyone inside gets turned into a zombie. Vanderhoe also seemed like he would be smart enough to delete himself before he turns or at least warn the others.
I knew it when I noticed the Skeletons on the vault and that robot zombie. I think they really gave those loopholes intentionally. Great great movie. Loved it. 👌
To Netflix and Zack, I'll say this... You guys should made a trilogy based on this, or hell, expand this Zombie Universe as much as you can. Zack is a genius and I'm sure we as a fans / viewers, will be beyond satisfied. Fighting and dying. Fighting and dying. Fighting and dying.
They did talk about it, it's the safe wagner ( the guy who built it) locked himself in and killed himself. In the end of army of thieves gwen told dieter to go and find it for her,, for the both of them,, so that their legend may complete. And dieter sacrificing himself in the vault just closes another circle of love and death, just like the story on the vaults,so now the new legend they created is completed, the same way the old ones did
It doesn’t show all the bodies. It’s like in a video game when the corpse from your previous death is on the ground with all your gear. It is just the current body not all previous iterations. Maybe a video game speed run time loop.
I think if the ending was another time loop, that shows 3 in total in the movie. Also the 3 AKs and the 3 “fighting and dying” tweets from Snyder might also be a clue that AOTD is hopefully 1/3 films
Dieter is the one who made the safe. Also the story about the safe are the clues that defines what will happen in the future. Remember it was Greek mythology. The evil zombie king be called Zeus.? Tell it doesn't sounds suspicious
What if Vanderhoe gets bitten > survives the nuke > rents the private plane > gets infected > attendants open the restroom > attendants and pilot get bitten > plane crashes but somehow they survived because vandarhoe is an alpha > the military captures vandarhoe to put into area 51 > back the first scene were trucks crashes and an alpha escapes and vandarhoe is zeus > time loop Possibly the one behind this loop isnt tanaka but rather its dieter i think
Just want to get fact straight, they are not robbing Bly's Casino, right? Coz if it is his casino, shouldn't Bly had the code for the safe, therefore they didn't need the safe creacker guy and they at least safe 30 min more (coz in the film they had to wait 30min). If turns out its his casino then this movie just plain stupid, i mean nobody ask for the code to the owner of the safe.
Bly wasn't going for the money, he needed soldiers to protect his security guy while he secured the Queen head. The security guy was going to kill them all anyways, Bly didn't want them to survive after his security guy got the head. The vault was a wild goose chase, and maybe he made up some BS to explain why he doesn't have the code for it.
@@TheJuggernaut88 I know what Bly really wants its either Queen's or King's head, i dont question that matter. That's why I want to know if its really Bly's Casino or not.

Thing I noticed, if you watch the VERY beginning, it shows a timeline. They succeeded in coming back to the quarantine area but 2 people get bitten leaving them crushed by blocks that block the quarantined zone from the city. Personally I thought that was how the movie was going to end but it ended different from what we’re shown from the VERY beginning of the movie. 🧐
It's like Project Zomboid - you respawn as yourself and can find yourself again. That's why the intro seems like a tutorial / cutscene, then with the music's soft 4th break "watch out Elvis" from Mr. Cheese (yeah it's the lyrics, but we're bending reality here), then the game can begin (again?)... Also, isn't that them when they enter the casino floor for the dramatic exit? Table towards the middle of the screen. I can't post a screenshot here, but the time is around 1:27 ish and between the slots.
I believe it was a reference to call of duty zombies. How the 4 main characters are stuck in a loop only surving up to a certain round, but when the player figures out the Easter egg the game ends and the characters move on to the next map.
I have a few comments about additional clues, specifically regarding the number "four". At the beginning of the movie the Liberace imitator says, "are you ready boys? One, two, three, four." Like, are you ready for the fourth go round in this time loop? Also, the safe on the outside has 4 main bolts. And, I thought Dieter said something about how the safe has 4 locks that independently reset each time they are used. Those things would all fit with the 4 holes in the key necklace.
I honestly think the robot zombies came from Simon pegs movie The Worlds End. That's my theory on where they came from. I could be totally wrong tho lol
Elvis song - Suspicious Minds opens the movie, "we're caught in a trap." (the #4 is a repeating number in this movie) -The piano player in the beginning counts to 4 "Are ya ready boys, a one, two, three, four.." as he winks slyly at us. -The Billiard balls on the pool table when Scott and Maria recruit Vanderohe, one of them is the #4 (the 4th cycle in the time loop) and and another is the #13, the bad luck number. -there are 4 stripes on Mr. Tanaka's suit lapel when he's explaining the plan in the warehouse. -Dieter shoots the bride 4 times. -The necklace key on the skeleton has 3 holes, the on on Maria has 4. -as Vanderohe explains his fighting and dying theory he plants 4 bombs. -as Zeus leaves the Olympus to look for his dead queen, there are 4 traffic lights with a crossed out cargo truck, four lights, 4 loops, and the 'no cargo truck' sign means the mission will fail. (this one is a stretch) (edit: 1/23/2022) The shemagh Vanderohe wears in the movie is green, the one in Dieters imaginary scenario is brown. There is a sticker with the #6 on the instrument panel inside the rescue chopper, the sixth loop might be the successful run in the cycle of fighting and dying. The end credits play out to Elvis - Suspicious Minds, "we're caught in a trap." We're caught in a trap, the warehouse where they all meet up, the windows look like bars in a prison... These are some of the things I've noticed.

The Götterdämmerung was just the fourth safe Wagner made and its location was unknown. The safe Wagner sealed himself in was another unnamed one.
THIS IS WHY WE NEED A SEQUEL ZACK MADMAN
Good news, the animated prequel is in the pipeline and they are talking about the sequel.

Zack is a genius, how we can’t admire his work? This movie is amazing, I hope this is the start for a new zombie franchise
Since Dieter prevented Vanderohe from getting bitten in his dying scene, I bet he's still alive in the timeline where Van got bitten.
Van did get bitten in the movie
@@Liam-gu2ig Which part exactly? Didn't see him get bit. He was about to but Dieter bonked the head of the Alpha and pushed Vanderohe into the vault while Dieter's the one getting targeted by the Alpha.

He got out of the nuked city *UNHARMED*? by the radiation, and took some hours before he starts to turn. Some things don't add up. Those bitten turns almost immediately so if he was bitten how did that even happen and why it took so long to affect him?

@@ivy2007 also Zeus fights with his fists in the vault, not biting.
@@ivy2007 maybe Zeus trained them. Je was a weapon on his way to Iran. Until the containment breach.
Huh if they have access to something that can cause a time loop, zombie apocalypse is pretty useless and dangerous and not necessary
That could also explain the robot zombies. They’re keeping tabs on the group’s and zombie’s performances in combat.
Not just time loops but the alien zombies Zeus was experimenting with making robot zombies as well.
Anyone agrees?

2nd was while escaping the vaults, guzman was hold them off while lily was using the saw,the 1st one that guzman head shot. The note that the area didn't have any lights or electricity was in the background.
My take:This part was the clearest confirmation of the robots zombies theory.
The 3rd of was on the casino floor. That part you'd have to freeze frame forward to see it.
My take :too quick and unclear to decide.
The vault escapes scared is the most visible part of robot zombies there would be no need using freeze forward frame by frame to see it .

I believe certain events must take place in order for them to break the loop. Finding out what those events are is gonna be a huge pain because nobody remembers what the other past events were like. Only leaving behind their dead bodies as clues without any context as to what happened. Deja Vu, that's what this movie feels like.
Now. Explain the ufo, zeus origin, robot zombies, and how vanderohe survive all those heat & radiation

May be vanderrohe survived because of the virus inside him...a normal person can't survive thd radiation
It's 12 movies glued together into one using bad writing
the whole movie had very videogame-like aspects and a lot of the shots seemed very cutsceney. the loop makes sense in this case, they die, respawn, come back better, just like you play a video game because you know what has and hasn't worked for you in the past.

@@justiceleague-wo1zs To be completely honest, I am here because people's appreciation of Zack Snyder, and this film in particular, don't make any sense to me. I wanted to do more research on other people's opinions to expand my horizons a little more. Unfortunately after watching literally (I checked my watch history) 12 different videos about the movie that has not happened. However, what you will hopefully notice is that I did not do anything to "ruin it for others", whether it meant the film or this youtube video.
My theory is this is a fourth loop as said but it a video game, the characters being used for different runs and reruns trying to do it with different outcome and team load outs
there are actually several robot zombies (the ones with glowing eyes), this is confirmed but we dont know what they mean, Snyder teased its either government planted survilance, to infiltrate the zombies, or some kind of next evolution of some otherworld technology or something like that
Zeus makes all the alphas though. So how would one infiltrate the alpha group?
I really enjoyed the cast of this movie. I'm hoping they do have a sort of "time loop" to see them all alive again.
What the hell. This blew my mind. We need a sequel.
The ending of this was mental. Feel like I need a part 2 negl, even if it's short.
The ending was stupid lmao. Also, a sequel wouldn't make sense because that plane is definitely going to crash once everyone inside gets turned into a zombie. Vanderhoe also seemed like he would be smart enough to delete himself before he turns or at least warn the others.
Love the Theory but its not any of ours, It was literally given to us in the script by the writer himself.
Patiently waiting for the Canadian lad to watch it in 0.25 speed and tell reveal all the details.

U good boi?
I knew it when I noticed the Skeletons on the vault and that robot zombie. I think they really gave those loopholes intentionally. Great great movie. Loved it. 👌
The song at the opening of the movie is Suspicious Minds by Elvis. The opening line of the song is "We're caught in a trap. I can't walk out."
The first line of the end credits song is 'I'm caught in a trap' so I took it as confirmation they are in a time loop 🤣

While I was watching this scene, I actually thought it is really happening
Why is nobody talking about the safe and the orgin story of it. (In the Army of Thieves) Was it not an example of foreshadowing?
They did talk about it, it's the safe wagner ( the guy who built it) locked himself in and killed himself. In the end of army of thieves gwen told dieter to go and find it for her,, for the both of them,, so that their legend may complete. And dieter sacrificing himself in the vault just closes another circle of love and death, just like the story on the vaults,so now the new legend they created is completed, the same way the old ones did
if it was a time loop why would their bodies even be there
It doesn’t show all the bodies. It’s like in a video game when the corpse from your previous death is on the ground with all your gear. It is just the current body not all previous iterations. Maybe a video game speed run time loop.
Exactly
Returnal
*BOOM*
I think if the ending was another time loop, that shows 3 in total in the movie. Also the 3 AKs and the 3 “fighting and dying” tweets from Snyder might also be a clue that AOTD is hopefully 1/3 films
Someone also mentioned that the girls necklace has 4 holes in it. But her skeletons necklace has 3 holes.
Zack is a genius!
Dieter is the one who made the safe. Also the story about the safe are the clues that defines what will happen in the future. Remember it was Greek mythology. The evil zombie king be called Zeus.? Tell it doesn't sounds suspicious
What if
Vanderhoe gets bitten > survives the nuke > rents the private plane > gets infected > attendants open the restroom > attendants and pilot get bitten > plane crashes but somehow they survived because vandarhoe is an alpha > the military captures vandarhoe to put into area 51 > back the first scene were trucks crashes and an alpha escapes and vandarhoe is zeus > time loop
Possibly the one behind this loop isnt tanaka but rather its dieter i think
Just want to get fact straight, they are not robbing Bly's Casino, right? Coz if it is his casino, shouldn't Bly had the code for the safe, therefore they didn't need the safe creacker guy and they at least safe 30 min more (coz in the film they had to wait 30min). If turns out its his casino then this movie just plain stupid, i mean nobody ask for the code to the owner of the safe.
I was wondering about this too! Was it really his casino? Or were they just all dumb
Lol kinda lost me on this 1 I expected a development that never came
Bly wasn't going for the money, he needed soldiers to protect his security guy while he secured the Queen head.
The problem here is they dont explain why nobody in the group doesn't ask for the code for the safe. Don't you find it wierd to not ask for the code? That's why I want to know if its really Bly's Casino or not.

The scene where the dude fights the Zombie and the Zombie knows his every move is a clue
Nah that’s just the initial outbreak and them rescuing the secretary of defense
All of this reminds me justice league, like first moving being not that good and second one coming in clutch.keep up the good work zack
Finally Zack loved by a studio. He deserves it.
The one reason why we need a sequel 🗿
I believe it was a reference to call of duty zombies. How the 4 main characters are stuck in a loop only surving up to a certain round, but when the player figures out the Easter egg the game ends and the characters move on to the next map.
This is easier on my brain than tenet 😁
Maybe it's all an alien experience. Tanaka is one of them.

Well done Zack 👍🏻

Elvis song - Suspicious Minds opens the movie, "we're caught in a trap."
(the #4 is a repeating number in this movie)
-The piano player in the beginning counts to 4 "Are ya ready boys, a one, two, three, four.." as he winks slyly at us.
(this one is a stretch) (edit: 1/23/2022)
The shemagh Vanderohe wears in the movie is green, the one in Dieters imaginary scenario is brown.
There is a sticker with the #6 on the instrument panel inside the rescue chopper, the sixth loop might be the successful run in the cycle of fighting and dying.
The end credits play out to Elvis - Suspicious Minds, "we're caught in a trap."
We're caught in a trap, the warehouse where they all meet up, the windows look like bars in a prison...
These are some of the things I've noticed.
Just give us a simple coherent storyline about a zombie apocalypse. But NO! You gotta put a zombie society, time loop, cyborg zombies, sequels, prequels and so much more!
