This interviewer is gifted. He asks probing questions in a respectful way, and is a very active listener. Kudos
That's the hallmark of competency, good temperament, professionalism and experience.
@kayodeola you are right😊
Agbaletu is the man! He goes where others can’t to source for news & history.
He is indeed very professional.
He got better over the videos he’s done from past. Hes quite knowledgeable and listens to criticisms nicely. I like that too, well done Agbaletu
This man is a good interviewer. He knows how to ask deep questions, and follow up questions and a good listener too. You are doing a good job man.
People should rise up in support this man. I strongly believe this man is not lying against Wasiu.
He made a lot of mistakes and blame others but himself. K1 may have been a callous person but this drummer left and came back saying he didn't know anything else to do. He should hold himself accountable for his misfortune

A time will soon come that allegations like these will not just be swept under the carpet but taken up legally. Mr Kunle is really pained and only God can justify him. Mr Kunle deserves justice.
Wasiu Ayinde, like Mr Kunle said has amassed such a great wealth as well acquired numerous fans that no matter what anyone says, he may seem not to be affected.
Mr Kunle, my advice for you, sir, is that you create a RUclips channel and do your own things. Your Yoruba is rich, your communication skills are matchless and you're quite polite. You can still make it happen, sir.
Thank you so much, Mr Agbaletu💯
This bros is blunt and sincere. He undoubtedly has glory. Very talented and steep in Yoruba oratory. Amuni buni, ọkọla yii 😊. God will surely come through for him.
Baale Dele Adeyanju well done for this very interesting interview. People that know K1 do attest for his stinginess, rude manners and non caring ways to his band members. At 67 years he should do all to care for his band members who are the ones that made him. Some of them have passed away and forgotten by him. These people has family but are not catered for by him. God will continue to be with you Sir Kunle, people will raise up to support you.
Wow am just speechless took me 3 days to carefully listen to this have learnt a lot
I meet him in London several times so gentle man and so humble god be with you respect for you
Hmm, Nigerian in diaspora should help him in their capacities as God laid their hearts
Wao!! Dele, you will not die young. Well done for this interview. God bless you and Mr. Kunle. E si maa jere ise yin, it's a matter of time.
I remember having a uncle that drums many years back for one of the biggest Nigeria Musician , travels all over the world with team but came back to our village few years back with nothing and living in abject poverty, can't feed .His fathers house he resorted to have some sides collapsed but he's still living inside till about 2years ago my dad was talking to me about him.
Only God knows what's happening in this music industry. Definitely MOHBAD suffered this evil act that lead him to untimely death.

I commend you Mr Ayankunle Olabode Ayanlowo for sharing your truth. As a 31 years survivor of domestic abuse and an advocate now, I get this question alot, the same question put to you by the moderator of this program, "why did it took you so long to leave". What you've been through is another kind of abuse, you do not own it to anyone to swear or try to make them believe your truth.....However I love the prayer you prayed for those group of people. E ni damu loruko Jesu, God almighty shall bring forth your destiny helpers expressly now in Jesus mighty name Ameen.
For those of you in the comment session expressing your doubts, of course it's a free world and like he said, he is not coming out for your kind of support.
How more precise and transparent can someone be than this for goodness sake..... he mentioned names and most of this people are still living, year the incidents happened and where.
This stories are very touching. Mr Agbaletu I'm from Igbesa. The Mr Owoyemi Odunsi which your guest mentioned is my brother. He's based in London. He's very versatile in talking drumming. I can recall he took along 3 gangan drums when he was returning to London in 1984. This world is very deep🤔 Well done Sir.

Since I saw the triller on tiktok I have been refreshing my RUclips for the real version. I am coming let me finish

I grew up within the compound of talking drummers in Abeokuta, though they were originally from Oyo state. They were mostly poor due to poor family background that didn’t provide them with education, but one thing you can’t take away from them is they were richly intelligent, brave and had great wisdom, which they displayed through loads of proverbs and phrases they dished out with there drum
I doff my hat for them
This is top comment. God bless you

@@ojoolunike9509 well... maybe it's not my way... but I've been drumming right my childhood, and value education a lot, I grew up in a Celestial church premises and am left handed.. I can tell you that most of the guys we played together back then find it difficult to sustain today, not downplaying them, but drumming doesn't go for long for some, while doing and enjoying it, think of an alternative to venture into, even if one travel abroad, you might not just rely fully on drumming, especially when one turns a family.

You always hit the bulls eye and keeps the listeners/viewers on their toes to make an informed opinion on the subject matter. I’m really impressed 👍🏿 keep up the good work.
Àyánlówò has narrated his ordeal with Wasiu, I’m sure it’ll be challenging to get Wasiu either to back up or debunk all the narrated atrocities on this same platform. Nevertheless, truth shall prevail no matter how it takes.
I think the help should not be personally focused on individual alone, it should be targeted on how to recuperate the lost efforts of those that are directly involved in their various capacities in that line of business.
It’s about time to change the narratives in that industry.
Agbaletu thank you, I love what you are doing. Giving the hopeless, hope. God will guide you and protect you.

I CAN name at least ten of late Barrister's band members, I CAN'T name a single member of K1's band. That says it all... Barrister will dedicate a whole side of an album praising and shouting out his members while Wasiu will only praise himself endlessly.

Well said. Unfortunately, the leading artiste believed they were their bosses when they were in fact their business partners. Our system and culture failed these people, and capitalised on their vulnerabilities of youth, love and commercial illiteracy. How I wish a good human rights or commercial lawyer can, on a no win, no fee basis help to throw collective class legal actions against those leading artistes on behalf of ALL of their former band members for financial restitution. I have noticed and use to say this for more than 42 years back, when I was on the street in my secondary school day.
Starting from mode of dressing of band boys to what the band leader wear. There is a vide gulf of disparity.
Many of my friends are band boys, that latter went into illicit substances, due to hardship and inability to measure up to societal expectation.
Mr. Ayanlowo, nothing will happen to you in the name of Jesus if you are saying the truth, but God will punish the evil ones in Jesus name.
Thank you so much for the courage.
This man is saying the truth about wasiu ayinde, i have a lot of my friends that are his band boys they left him with similar experiences,he said to one of them that onilu melo lo se ori re.
I need part 2 please, there's so much to learn from this
Nigeria has history and stories. We should tell and document them just like this.
I think this interview is very believable, Almighty is the best judge. May he judge us all accordingly.
At 1:08:20, what he said is undoubtedly spot on and on the money. The introduction of the talking drum "gan gan" was the game changer that launched Wasiu Ayinde (American Tips) into the mainstream of we (the elites) acceptance of fuji music.
It ushered in the keyboard and guitar 🎸 that made followups like "Global tour", "Berlin" and Fuji Fusion" become global hits....
I really wish this brother and K1 can sit down One on One, without a single human being present, so they can both vent their issues at each other, like mortal beings that we are and lovingly quench all the anger and animosity btw them once and for all...
Good idea
I don’t think this particular Oga Elere will humble himself to dialogue with this gentleman. They don’t regard them as anything. They forget that the drums are an integral part of their overall sound.
It’s on record how KSA still regards and honour Bob Aladeniyi as an appreciation of Bob’s contribution to KSA’s sound. Omoluabi o si fun most band leaders.
Most of the drummers in music band are not learned enough, they all came from ile oke(Village) that's why he said they are treated like slaves even in advanced country,if they are learned enough they could have ran away from K1 even without their passport.oruko ti o ba wun ni la nje leyin odi.
It’s so sad. I don’t think many of them knew that they could have left without their passport.
This man is very intelligent and wise, he can still remembered every details incident that happened on that day.
The man is very right because Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister always called himself bandleader.... for example. There are thousands of music groups, each with their own leadership structure. Some bands have called leaders or frontman, while others operate more democratically but not boss. For example, Bono is widely recognized as the frontman of U2, Mick Jagger holds a similar position in The Rolling Stones.
One love baba ❤❤❤❤
It's really good to know your work as a professional, i salute you mr kunle...you shall leave long sir.

Wow! Wow!! Wow!!! What an interview? This is the most insightful, the most engaging and the most revealing interview you've done to date, bar none. It is so touching to hear how this man and band members of popular old school Yoruba music artistes lived with physical and mental enslavement for so many years in public gaze. Aka suffering and smiling as Late Fela Kuti described it. Ironically, newer and younger band members are still experiencing similar fates today; whilst the so called arrow heads keep accumulating riches at their expense. I've never been a fan of Wasiu or of Fuji music in general - the genre is just not my thing; therefore I had never heard of this man or seen him in Wasiu's band before today but I know absolutely that his account of events are 100% true. I say this because Wasiu is an Inlaw to close family friends of mine; going back over 4 decades. It is unfortunate though that Kunle mentioned a car as the assistance he needs; given that, that is not the help many listeners (myself included) are for many reasons likely to be prepared to render to him. sadly, this gives the impression that he probably won't appreciate smaller gestures of assistance. What a shame. I hope he can still find a way to create his own prosperous economy with the drum skills and gift he undoubtedly has. Why hasn't he set up a low cost and potentially life-changing online school for aspiring drummers with worldwide reach through social media?
This interview is fully packed. I pray this man get help 🙏❤️
