I missed this episode last year because I was hospitalized 49 days with Covid. I finally woke up a few days after Christmas and asked my husband what day it was. He told me and I said "Wait, what, I missed Christmas?" By God's grace I am still here and I plan to really cherish this Christmas. Jesus is the reason for the season! Beautiful work Laura, as always.
A silly suggestion from backseat peanut gallery: strips of dim LED lights behind the windows. Just bright enough to suggest the presence of windows in the dark, but not too bright to outshine the wreath or the trees.
"Thus says The Lord: Most assuredly, I say to you, any and all rituals which are rooted in paganism are an abomination in the eyes of God! And all who place My name upon them, or do them by permission in My name, have surely taken the name of The Lord in vain! I know many say they celebrate this holiday in loving memory of My earthly birth, yet on this day I did not come into the world by way of water and blood. For that day and hour remains unknown to you, nor do you understand. For you cast off knowledge, and refuse to honor the appointed times which The Father commanded you to keep holy and remember.[1] Thus My people are indeed destroyed for lack of knowledge, as it is written.[2] How long shall you mar My image before the people?! How long shall My name be blasphemed Because of you, O churches of men?!... How long shall you commit adultery with the Harlot and revel in the idolatries of the pagan?! How long shall you remain married to this world And all its fornications against God?!... Again I tell you, ALL religions, religious rituals And celebrations, rooted deeply in paganism, Are an abomination in the eyes of The Most High God! Well did My servant Sha’ul (also known as Paul) prophesy of you, saying: In the latter days some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their consciences seared as with a hot iron.[3] And well did he prophesy of this generation, saying: Men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof[4]. Therefore, woe to all who celebrate this detestable holiday of men! Woe, I say to you! And three times woe, to all who do so in MY name! Hypocrites! Workers of idolatry! You are a perverse people who do always take the name of The Lord in vain! Yet I hear you saying, “But we only seek to honor You, Lord, in any and all ways.” Yet I ask you, how can we be one if your heart belongs to another?[5] And how does reveling in those things I hate honor Me? I tell you the truth, all who love this world more than Me are not worthy of Me! And all who honor the ways of the harlot dishonor Me and shall share in her judgment! And ALL, who revel in the ways of the pagan, have cast their lot with satan! Or have you never read these Scriptures: You can not drink the cup of The Lord and the cup of demons; you can not partake of The Lord’s table and of the table of demons?![6] Indeed, what do all these things have to do with Me? Why do you decorate the tree? Is it not beautiful as it is? And why do you decorate your house? A household, which seeks to honor Me, has no need of worldly decorations. For in humility, set apart, shall you shine forth. And why do you give worldly gifts in My name? Am I not The Gift, He who ascended on high, He who led captivity captive and gave gifts to men?[7] Therefore receive of Me, of all I offer, and be separate. For in following My ways do you give gifts to Me and to each other, even to all those around you, for the gifts I bring endure forever. Therefore, again I ask you, what matter these things of the world and men, which shall soon pass away? Yet you say, “All these things are a metaphor and a testament to You, Lord.” Yet I tell you, anything which comes from sin is sin; do not do it! Tear down all these whitewashed walls of abomination, and do only as The Word of God instructs! For the season of giving is each and every day, and the season of love is every day, every hour, every minute, every moment of your life lived in Me. So then, share My gifts and withhold not; lift up the poor in spirit and feed the hungry, help the needy and comfort the sick, doing so in My name. Yet do not do as the pagans do, for this is sin. Be completely separate and shun these perverse holidays of men; stop breaking My Commandments! You wish to celebrate My name and My earthly birth, do so; yea, bring glory to My name by your obedience, set apart. You wish to enjoy festivals with your family, do so; I have given you seven.[8] And in these seven is wisdom and understanding, the very mind of God, revelation beyond words, the will of God made manifest. Yet no more do as the pagans and false teachers would have you do. Cast off this holiday; throw away your tree and lights, rid your house of all decorations, turn away from these filthy traditions. It would be cute to have the congregation hang little white paper angels with loved ones who have passed on the trees to include them in the candle light ceremony too ❤️ Or special prayers to hang on the trees ❤️ The stage turned out so beautifully!! Such a great job ❤️🎄❤️
We have a man from our church who makes all kinds of stuff from foam board for the church programs, pillars, animals, stone walls you name it and they look so real and it’s lite weight to move in and out. I love your windows! 🥰
I cannot even tell you how much I love this! I’ve wanted to do the church windows and now I can show the pastor the vision that has been in my head! Thank you for sharing.
I'm our church decorator as well and foam board is the BEST! So often the problem I face is finding items with the correct scale and as always cost is a factor. I so appreciate you sharing your project it's encouraging to see what other churches do and most importantly thanks for adding that the decor isn't really what it's all about, but bringing glory to Jesus😇
You are so right. Your decoration is gorgeous, even so... Christmas is about Jesus, God’s perfect sacrifice. His provision for the salvation of mankind. It’s always such a joy to watch as your creativity comes to life. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for encouraging the rest of us to go for it! ♥️ Merry Christmas!
Laura Whenever you feel like you’re rambling is when we enjoy what you’re saying the most. It’s raw and real and what makes you the awesome person you are. So like your displays you’ll find the confidence to know that what you’re saying matters to us and is part of the journey. Thank you for sharing you!
Even with your extraordinary work and talent , your modesty reminds us all that in the end , it is not about the decorations that matter. What a great message for all ! Thank you!
These window frames will look great for Easter! Just add colored paper behind each pane for a stained-glass look, put a few Easter lilies out, and it will look amazing!
I’m a visual merchandiser for a retail company , so I get to play with displays and be creative like this all the time. You do a fabulous job at Andrews and your church and of course your garden. I was so interested to see how you did the snowflakes but in the end I agree that what you ended up with was simple and homey and just perfect. You have a great eye and inspire me all the time. Happy Holidays Laura and family!
I love the Gothic windows, evergreen wreath with lights and the evergreen trees with lights, which adds so much to your display. The Winter scenery in churches during this time of the year is extremely beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
If you decided on the snow flakes.. a long blackened pole and use fishing line to add the snow flakes to, and then lift up the pole and attach to the ceiling. That would be easier than adding each snow flake at a time. Like a curtain of snow flakes. Then one little spot light on the windows so that they are highlighted when everything else is dim. My Mom used to do Christmas pageants at the Elementary school and church. Lighting is everything. I hope these little suggestions help.. it looks fantastic and I just adore those windows!!!! Gorgeously done, fantastic idea.. you are a wonderfully talented lady for sure!!!
What a beautiful, beautiful arrangement you made the way that you share with others so freely shows what a great Christian you truly are thank you. Merry Christmas.
That turned out so beautifully!!! I love the "simplicity", though we know there was nothing simple about creating it, still the outcome is peaceful!!! I completely agree with your decision to not use the snowflakes. Though they would have been beautiful, in this application I agree that this is far more peaceful!! You are such a blessing!! And so is your family!!
This was especially meaningful to me because my mother was the hospitality lady at our church and I cannot tell you how many hours we spent decorating that church over the years. I get this . . . all of it. (smile)
I just watched this and wanted to tell you how beautiful it was. “Less is More” is what you realized while creating this and I am so glad you did. I am picturing in my mind, your candlelight service. Magnificent!❤️
You are truly amazing! You are so talented and that is only eclipsed by your beautiful and generous spirit! I hope you experience the beauty and wonder of the season that you give to so many!
This is so pretty! We did something similar for my daughter's wedding, except we used 4x8 sheets of plywood to cut the windows out of and then painted them white. My husband made stands so that the windows would be free-standing. Love this!
You did an amazing job! You have a true gift....and a joy to watch as you give it back to the Giver. The red bow....center stage....just like baby Jesus in the manger....love it!
Love, Love, Love what you did at the church. Very natural, majestic, and organic, it was just enough. I'm glad you decided not to add red balls or ornaments on the trees. The whole scene looks peaceful and perfect! God bless you and your family this Christmas. Your enthusiasm in each of your videos inspire me!
I can attest to the beautiful snowball effect of building confidence one project at a time. I’ve learned to step back and evaluate what matters and what doesn’t. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be!
Ok, let me start by saying that this was stunning and truly inspirational.... Just like you! Now let me ask you this: we know you can garden like no one else we know, you can grow your own food, you can decorate too, you can cook and you can bake, you can draw and you can paint, you can play music and film like a pro, you're a gorgeous and fun wife, and you make gorgeous babies too ... So what exactly can't you do? ... because I'm feeling so inadequate by now, who in earth can measure up to you? (I'm no rapper but I tried to make things rhyme). Do me a favour and please tell your lovely Mom and your sweet Dad what an awesome job they've done raising you. They too deserve recognition so please give them my greatest congratulation on a job very well done. We need more folks like yours in this world. Keep growing Laura, and all the best to you and yours in the years ahead. Oh, by the way, please make a baby sister for Benjamin. Thank you.
Wow coffee with Laura and an awesome display. Love your budding cameraman there, Benjamin was totally comfortable in moving the camera around where he wanted it. Also love him dancing as he was playing at the drum set, he is a special little boy for sure. Your talent continues to amaze me and I love how you just tackle what ever project there is!!! Your community is so blessed to have you and your family who are willing to share their talents. Thank you for the information again as you never know when it might come in handy!!!!
I love the winter church scene - beautiful!!!! I agree with you on keeping it simple, simplicity goes a long way! You have created a winter wonderland - love it! You have inspired me to keep things simple & beautiful this season!!!! 🌲🎄⛪🌲🎄❤
To anyone watching this project and are about to start one...please use a face mask while sanding and cutting. It's really important, Laura was probably too distracted with filming to remember to wear one...please do. Sorry to be the health and safety moron...but there you go!
This is so beautiful Laura and everyone that helped you!! A lot of hard work, Jesus was there giving you his blessing!! I decorate our little church and I feel him close to me!! God Bless You!!🙏💓🌲
You could use the cutout scraps for stacking building blocks for Benjamin. Paint them different colors. Red, green, blue and yellow. Or, brick color. Would be a great learning tool for him! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Great job on the decorations.
I love this! So simple and peaceful yet festive. I’d really like to see a bow tutorial from you. I tried my first bow and I just struggled so much, you make it look so easy.
I think your church looks absolutely beautiful. I also want to thank you for the foam board windows. I have four large windows to decorate at my jewelry store. I could use this technique on different props.
I love this display! Using the foam board is something I can use as decorations in my home. I never would have thought of it. Thanks for showing us the process 🥰
Absolutely stunning!!! I think these windows should be up all year round changing out the wreaths to fit the season. You are so, so talented Laura! Well done! Wish I could attend that candlelight service.....
How excellent. A trio of trinity groupings - the trees and stain glass panels. The wreath, a crown of thorns, high and lifted up. The flowing red ribbon (“not wire”) reminding us of the shed blood and our salvation. A beautiful display, that ministers. Thanks for sharing!
I Absolutely Love this! It is so Beautiful! Benjamin was so Cute playing with the camera. I didn't feel like you were rambling! You were teaching, and that is Awesome! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
You stated it quite well - being flexible, willing to make mistakes, perseverance and attention to the overall outcome is key! And,, yes, simplicity is the operative word so many times! You have produced a peaceful atmosphere in which to absorb and appreciate the beauty of life!
Laura, so many words but I’m speechless!! You leave me in awe when I see your talent with your beautiful projects and your lovely family involved...**❤️Favorite scene: Benjamin messed with camera and we saw his precious cute face up close!!
Excellent work! Thank you for letting us in on the process. And what a great idea to use foam board! Now I will know the next time I take on a decorating project and my heart starts racing and I get a little sick to my stomach that it's just a normal reaction to push through and grow.
Everything looks great. You are right, your confidence builds as you do more projects, just like gardening. These videos give me more confidence to do more things in my garden!! Thanks😀
i love the altar...for me when iam in the church, the altar is like a projector ...it shows me all the happy moments in my life.i love to go there & be there for a loooong time...
Super wonderful! The LORD has blessed you with multiple gifts, and you use them to the full. Here, as a worship gift to Him on His Birthdsy for all to be edifies! Just what He loves. Thank you!
I’m an artist and I’ve built so many VBS and Christmas sets for our church ⛪️ it’s great to see how another creative person tackles bringing their visions to life! ❤️
My mind is blown! I “discovered” Garden Answer about 6 months ago and have been watching and rewatching as much as I can absorb…..today I realized my favorite online Pastor (aside from my own in person pastor) is her pastor! God is so AMAZING!
Your talent really shines through. The congregation is truly blessed to have your family support. Benjamin represented baby Jesus is this project. Happy holiday blessings to you and your family.🎄⛄📯
I love your creativity! What a lovely thing you did for your church at Advent time. And you were right simple was better for the Joy will be lifted for Christ in your ⛪️
I really love it! And exactly how you explained it, “simple and reverent”, so appropriate for Christmas and in a church. You’re very inspirational! Happy holidays to you and your family.
These would also look great in the Garden Center to hang ornaments and decor on or hanging from the ceiling for displays (like you did the ladder) and such!🎄🎄🎄
Laura, I love the simplicity of the windows, they could be a year round installation! For those attempting this, using blue painter's tape to make your straight lines will help, especially since you can get different widths.
Was so interesting seeing the full process of how this came together! I grew up in a Christian family but have always been an atheist however this holiday time of year always makes me feel so warm and makes me want to spend time with my family and community. This video made me feel so warm and fuzzy! 😍
One alternative is to recycle and refurbish the 2 piece of fabric on the wall by pinning the snowflakes on them. Cluster more flakes at the end near the ceiling and fewer flakes at the lower level to simulate snow falling down from the sky.
Very well done Laura - going to leave a simple message but I hope you realize that the simple message has a BIG impact - just like your simple setup has a super big impact there on the stage!!!
You are amazing. And you got this so right. It looks so peaceful. The windows came out so nice. Wreath & bow & trees & snow. Lovely for everyone. Really great. You are an inspiration to go for it. God bless 🙏🌲
WOW!!!! The altar looks beautiful and reverent, what a perfect combination for the season! You’re so talented and I love that you share your gifts with the world❤️ Merry Christmas to you and your families✝️
Honestly your Mom is so precious. Also Benjamin is so cute. I love all your projects. I relate to your aesthetic and I understand how you think. Thank you for sharing your videos. I enjoy them all. The church display was beautiful!!!
"Simply" beautiful! I admire your attention to detail and it is such a blessing to see you use your gifts for the One who gave them to you! Merry Christmas Laura!
Less is definitely more! Your idea came to fruition beautifully and is so serene. The vision of the dimmed lights with only the glow of the lit trees and candles held by the congregation makes my heart sing and my eyes teary.
Wow, everything from the moment of inspiration to completion. Thank you for sharing your creative process, you are both generous and genuine. Very balanced and beautiful work. Love it.
you are the most talented young woman i've ever seen. i am an old hag and have done things like you have all my life, so i know a little. you are so creative. whoever you choose to let into your life is so fortunate.
You are incredible. I don't think I know anyone who works so hard. I'm sure the congregation will be so thrilled to worship in such a beautiful setting this Christmas time. Your parents in-law must just love having you as a daughter in law.
As our country becomes more and more secular and especially the San Francisco Bay Area where I live, I really appreciate that you share a little bit with the RUclips world about your participation in your church community!
Always one eye on the little one no matter what you are doing. That brings back memories. Your such a good mommy. What a huge job and boy are you talented. Looks very nice.
Your church is blessed to have such a devoted designer. Putting in so much time, effort, and expense. It looks very solemn..perfect!
I got so excited when Benjamin grabbed the camera, he’s the star of the show
It looks so lovely, your community is blessed to have you there to do this for them, you are one special lady x
You are so right about her being a blessing to her community. She is definitely a special lady. Have a Merry Christmas yourself!

No words to express what an inspirational person you are!!!! Thank you for sharing.❤️
Debbie Reynolds I agree!

So lovely and perfect! Everything you create is magical and gorgeous! Benjamin got his camera skills from his grandma - adorable!
😂 lol 💀 moving the trailer moment all over again
BAHAHAHA!! Totally!
The best part 🤣❤️
His grandma! Oh man that video was so funny, she's just the cutest!! ❤️❤️❤️
I cannot even tell you how much I love this! I’ve wanted to do the church windows and now I can show the pastor the vision that has been in my head! Thank you for sharing.

OMG I laughed so hard when Benjamin got the camera, and he was talking the whole time. hahaha
Me Too! I heard his voice, then the camera moved, and I just had to laugh. He is just so cute.

I know this video is over 2 years old but wow it turned out absolutely beautiful. Very inspirational ✝️❤️
You did an amazing job! Glad you didn't edit out Benjamin being his little boy self.
God bless and have a joyous Christmas!
“A couple thousand of these” 😆 You truly are an inspiration! ❤️ Everything is beautiful!
I get this . . . all of it. (smile)
WOW! I’m really impressed! I never have guessed that that wasn’t a real window!!!
Can’t wait till Benjamin has his own channel! ❤️
Now let me ask you this: we know you can garden like no one else we know, you can grow your own food, you can decorate too,
you can cook and you can bake, you can draw and you can paint,
you can play music and film like a pro, you're a gorgeous and fun wife, and you make gorgeous babies too ...
Thank you.
The simplicity is perfect. This is the season of joy & calm. You nailed it. ❤️
It looks amazing!🌲 Benjamin ‘the cameraman’ was adorable!!
Just noticed - your next video will be #1,000!!!! Well done you two!!!
I love it! I think the windows should stay up year round, they fit in perfect.
I love the winter church scene - beautiful!!!! I agree with you on keeping it simple, simplicity goes a long way! You have created a winter wonderland - love it! You have inspired me to keep things simple & beautiful this season!!!! 🌲🎄⛪🌲🎄❤
This is beautiful! Good call on the simplicity of it and reverence for the house of the Lord. LOVE IT! ❣
God Bless You!!🙏💓🌲
Oh , by the way Home Depote has film you could put on them for glass. Some are stain glass look. It is near the blinds.
Oooh! That would be cool!!!
You could use the cutout scraps for stacking building blocks for Benjamin. Paint them different colors. Red, green, blue and yellow. Or, brick color. Would be a great learning tool for him! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Great job on the decorations.
Ohhhhh… This is beautiful, and ethereal. You are so capable, and have such a good sense of what is appropriate, in ANY given situation.
Your talents used for the Lord is truly a blessing! Thank you for sharing your gifts.
Perfect, Benjamin is so cute. He's learning.
WDawn Poole Praying for you, Dawn!
The thought that you've put into this beautiful project is overwhelming! It is simple, yet stunning!!!! Soooo inspiring, Laura!!
Super wonderful! The LORD has blessed you with multiple gifts, and you use them to the full. Here, as a worship gift to Him on His Birthdsy for all to be edifies! Just what He loves. Thank you!
This is beautiful Laura. I Iove the windows
I’m an artist and I’ve built so many VBS and Christmas sets for our church ⛪️ it’s great to see how another creative person tackles bringing their visions to life! ❤️
It looks lovely Laura! You are so talented 😍 I love when Benjamin wanted to help explain what you where doing in the video 🤣 He is so cute!
My mind is blown! I “discovered” Garden Answer about 6 months ago and have been watching and rewatching as much as I can absorb…..today I realized my favorite online Pastor (aside from my own in person pastor) is her pastor! God is so AMAZING!
Beautiful, Laura!! You're so talented.
Your talent really shines through. The congregation is truly blessed to have your family support. Benjamin represented baby Jesus is this project. Happy holiday blessings to you and your family.🎄⛄📯
This was just the perfect amount of decoration! Very classy! You’re right, the snowflakes would have been too much. Great job! 😊
Wow, that’s a lot of work! May God reward your family with many blessings.
Great Job, looks wonderful and like you said peaceful. God bless you. TFS
These would also look great in the Garden Center to hang ornaments and decor on or hanging from the ceiling for displays (like you did the ladder) and such!🎄🎄🎄
It's beautiful. Quiet, simple, yet very festive ❤❤
Laura, I love the simplicity of the windows, they could be a year round installation! For those attempting this, using blue painter's tape to make your straight lines will help, especially since you can get different widths.
Amazing job, you put your heart & soul into this project! It’s beautiful the church is so blessed to have you ❤️ Lots of love from New Zealand xx
Was so interesting seeing the full process of how this came together! I grew up in a Christian family but have always been an atheist however this holiday time of year always makes me feel so warm and makes me want to spend time with my family and community. This video made me feel so warm and fuzzy! 😍
I’m always amazed, at the extent of your talents!
One alternative is to recycle and refurbish the 2 piece of fabric on the wall by pinning the snowflakes on them. Cluster more flakes at the end near the ceiling and fewer flakes at the lower level to simulate snow falling down from the sky.
It turned out beautiful Laura! The windows you made are amazing! You have such talent! Sending you warm Christmas wishes🤗🎄☃️❄️
Wow! That was incredibly laborious but the end result was beautiful!! You are so talented. Nicely done.
WOW!!!! The altar looks beautiful and reverent, what a perfect combination for the season! You’re so talented and I love that you share your gifts with the world❤️ Merry Christmas to you and your families✝️
Perfect! What a delight for the people in church to view while taking in God's word.
I think the window cross-bars are called mullions. These are just beautiful!
So good to see your dad!... Especially after his 'cameo' in your decorating your parent's garden center video. 🤣🤣
You are incredible. I don't think I know anyone who works so hard. I'm sure the congregation will be so thrilled to worship in such a beautiful setting this Christmas time. Your parents in-law must just love having you as a daughter in law.
I'm really impressed. With your idea and your execution of your idea. Great job.
As our country becomes more and more secular and especially the San Francisco Bay Area where I live, I really appreciate that you share a little bit with the RUclips world about your participation in your church community!
I just simply LOVE It!!!❤️💚❤️💚
Always one eye on the little one no matter what you are doing. That brings back memories. Your such a good mommy. What a huge job and boy are you talented. Looks very nice.
