- I have finally built my first PC!!! I am honestly so proud of myself because I struggled a lot but now I feel so confident in my PC build skills and being able to upgrade parts in the future! Shout out to my friend for helping me throughout the whole build yous a real one.
Not gonna lie I was struggling with screwing and plugging everything in but thankfully I think it was better that I did everything softly cuz that turned out to be easy to fix. My reason for building a PC was because I was unable to edit or game smoothly without running into problems. Ever since I started filming in 4K my old computer could barely handle editing besides the basics. Gaming was also an issue because I would be playing games that aren't hard on your GPU but my graphics card would still crash from time to time. I had my good old PC for 6 years so it was time for a big upgrade. By no means was I able to afford this right away I had to save and cut other costs to be able to afford everything and I waited for sales and bundles when I could.
I hope this video finds the people who are also thinking of building a PC for the first time. Mistakes will happen, but that's okay and you're gonna be fine and learn from those mistakes and once you're done you will have to PC of your dreams :) if someone as dumb and soft-willed as me could do it, you can too!

I got a lot of comments on my SSD being installed incorrectly but it is now fixed. I appreciate the constructive feedback!
Also got a lot of comments about why did I get this part instead of this other one. I got a bundle through Microcenter for the CPU, motherboard and RAM so my reason for buying those are because of the price. I am aware that I lost some performance from buying those parts, but it was my first pc purchase so I worked with it. All other parts were recommended to me either by an experienced friend or through a worker at Microcenter. Overall I have good temps and my gaming and editing experiences are so much better than before, so this build as of now is working for me!
great specs 12900k and 4080 super is a match made in heaven for both productivity and gaming i for one am glad you went the intel and nvidia route amd is a crash machine intel and nvidia just works
I did noticed it like not how I do it when I install an ssd on my Steel Legends motheboard Am5, paired the 7600X with the 7600 XT the idea here is being able to enjoy performance without breaking my wallet.
@@natispheream5 is a much better option for upgradability and value, plus there's some good productivity options on am5 as well, so don't worry, it's a better option to me imo, Wayy better efficiency too
An upgrade is an upgrade, now matter how small! Super big feat to build a PC for the first time as well, even I haven't done that yet because it's daunting. I'm so scared to mess anything up, but soon enough I'll push myself to do it.
Thank you for the video:)
How much was all this? T-T
A lot of PC builders make it look like the parts just seamlessly fit together with no effort, but turns out it takes a lot of pressure and some snapping to even put them in place lol
For sure I learned real quick that it’s not delicate lol
I absouletly love how you showed your mistakes and corrections.. Im about to build my PC as well using the y60 and I learned a lot from you! Thank you so much for sharing this video..
Thank you!! I’m glad that you can learn from my mistakes, and I wish you a smooth unproblematic PC build :)
@@somaswooshi lol thank you I hope so too Im so nervous lol lol your so brave!!! But that's how you learn you know so well done.
You go girl! Awesome build, and yes, its a learning curve! I'm watching your video because I'm building my first PC this weekend!
Thanks! And omg that’s awesome!!! I hope your build goes smoothly ☺️
Seeing you move all those components like that at the start just spooked me a little
i'm so glad i wasn't the only one who struggled to get their hyte case out of the box haha
Almost all cases are a mission. Best method is to flip the box upside down and let gravity do the heavy work.
I like how you assemble your PC step by step, because it gives me time to see exactly how the case is, to observe all its details; it's something that not many assembly professionals do. Do you know that there are Lian Li SL-INF fans with the blades reversed? This way, you don't lose the beautiful effect they have by flipping them to create the correct airflow. Your happiness when your PC finally boots up is contagious. Congratulations! I was expecting it to be the case with the screen, but you've ended up with a very nice PC. Do you use the Wallpaper Engine application for the animated desktop background?
Yup I tried to show as much of the process as I could minus installing windows cuz that was just a lot of waiting for things to download. I was hoping that someone could learn a few things from my mistakes 😅 I did see the reversed blades fans for sale, but I decided not to get them since they were slightly more expensive. And thank you! Yes I used Wallpaper Engine for my desktop background.
We all make mistakes from our builds part of the learning process, and loved how it turned out. Have done a build Amd parts, and initially went with Intel A750, but later got the 7600 XT to pair with the 7600X.
Nice build! Im also about to build my first pc in about a week (hopefully), so its nice to see people starting to engage with this world.
That’s awesome! Agreed I got a lot of motivation from watching other people build PCs for the first time ☺️
Congratulations 🎊 She’s a beauty!! You did an excellent job!!! Nice video!!!
i love watching building videos because i felt the same joy when i built my first pc, now im on my third :D you have a great build
Oh wow nice! Idk if I’ll need to build a new pc for myself for a long time, but I’m itching to help friends build theirs now for that satisfaction of building one again haha
@@somaswooshi yeah I’ve been lucky to have the funds to build pc’s for my friends and family (:
Awesome and pretty pc, makes me feel secure about building by my own soon ❤️❤️❤️ and I love your cats 😻
Best wishes to you and your cats 🫶🏻
Thank you from me and the kitties! I learned PC building is pretty forgiving even if you make mistakes, so you got this 👍
Very relaxing vibe. That 4080 super gonna do wonders for you, i myself am rocking a 7900xt. Im also a big fan of the whole fish tank pc case, looks very very nice. I might get that same case(with the lcd screen) for my next build
Thanks! Yes it’s already making my games look amazing. Haha i love that description! I might decorate my case to look like a fish tank now. Yeah I’m waiting to see how much the lcd screen by itself will be before deciding on adding it to my case
This was so fun to watch!! When you jumped for joy the first time it turned on I wanted to jump too lol
Haha yes it was truly a joyous moment and so worth all the struggles and setbacks while building 🥹
Such a wonderful build! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much! 💖
Honestly not bad for a first time PC builder! Looks great
I see an associate helped you picked out the parts.
They did a great job selecting parts based on your use cases.
Make sure to fill out a survey, it really does help them out.
The only nitpick that will effect you over time is the SSD riser.
The little hexagonal screw you placed on top of the SSD is meant to be a bridge pillar of some sort to make sure the SSD is not bent when installing.
Over time you will notice that the SSD will bend due to heat and stress. That thicc hexagonal riser and M.2 silver screw is there to prevent that from happening.
My recommendation is to use the M.2 screw that comes inside of your motherboard box, it will be this tiiiiny screw that's silver that comes in a singular plastic baggy.
Micro Center does sell the M.2 Risers and screws individually as well if you're missing yours. They will be found near the thermal paste area I believe.
Another thing that will help you over time is space. I saw you only have one 2TB drive. Make sure that you don't use more than about 80% of your boot drive, because when using 100% of your drive there is a chance of corrupting Windows. Windows does need some breathing room to install updates, security fixes and more.
When saving footage (since you mentioned you will be video editing) make sure you save it externally on a hard-drive or get a secondary internal drive.
HDDs last longer but are slower, SSDs are faster but die quicker. It's best to use SSDs for cache files or game folders & as a boot drive, and your HDDs as additional storage.
NASs will help you too, but that's becoming it's own topic.
When upgrading components, make sure you only use the power supply cables that came with your power supply as they are rated for it/are proprietary.
Otherwise Good job! Looks very clean. The Y70 is a great case to build in.
Say hi to Josh from the service/repair department for me plz.😉
Hey thanks for your thorough explanations and advice! Yes micro center folks were extremely helpful when I told them what I wanted and needed in a PC.
Yep found the other screw I failed to notice and the SSD is now installed correctly. Also got a heatsink for it! I definitely plan to install another SSD in the future.
I have been using an external hard drive for all my video footage cuz it’s takes up a huge amount of space lol. Good to know why it’s better that way!
The power supply didn’t come with enough PCIe cables, but I did check with corsair about compatibility before buying the separate PCIe cable. If I ever need another power supply, I’ll be more aware of the cables I need!
Nice job on your build. Thanks for showing the mistakes..... and it was nice to see the little excited jump when it turned on.
We can get help from you now. It's a nice build indeed. Your PC so cool so graphics card fans turn on only occasionally.
Congrats on building your first PC! Everything looks so comfy and cozy💛
Thank you!! 😊
Ugh, I'm getting ptsd for my first build too! You did such an amazing job for your first time and I hope this means we'll get a lot more videos from you in the future!
Aw thanks!! Yes I want to vlog more cozy gaming videos and PC things ☺️
My pc build went wrong L to me 😂
I hate the cable management in my pc i dont know how to fix it
hey, I feel that. I think my build took like 12 hours so by then i just shoved everything in the back and hoped things didn't shift too much when i closed the back hahaha@@Simon_182
@@PastyDates Mine took over like 18 hours at least because of trouble shooting
First time pc building but you went straight to high end build. Crazy. COngrats
gonna order this case soon and its also going to be my first build as well. can't wait
Ooooh good choice 😆 the case is so nice for cable management and it’s gonna look so clean. I’m excited for you!
Besides a few things that others mentioned. It's a really nice build. Great job
Hyte Y70 is a beautiful case only thing that prevented me from getting the Y60 was the lack of room in some areas but this version definitely is a must have
Congratulations on your build success. It was nice to see someone using a box cutter for its intended purpose. I see so many other RUclips creators fumbling around with big knives to cut little pieces of tape. The white PC looks really good. (I went with white w/blue highlights on my build.)
I’ve had mine for like 10 years (I replace the blades when it gets dull) and it’s the most used tool I have! Ooh very nice color choice next time I’d like to add some color to my PC too
relate so hard with the soft hands 😭 I just built my first PC a couple weeks ago, and I had to make my brother redo my motherboard power connector for me when I was having issues and even HE struggled (at least he was able to get it FULLY plugged in tho, I got the tab to click but it wasn't all the way in). when I first put it together, one of my fingers was visibly red and dented from all the power connectors for the rest of the day...
Right?? I thought I had to be delicate to not break anything while building, but I think next time I build a PC I might wear grippy gloves or something lol
Dude Tysm I was gonna get the same motherboard, cpu, and ram bundle, same fans, case (panda) this gave a preview and it look great . Keep it up 👍
Nice! Hope your build goes smoothly 😊
@@somaswooshi Tysm!
great job! a first PC build is always scary. congrats
Your build turned out really nice. Thank you for sharing. 😊
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed my first PC build ☺️
Sick build, I've recently build my own first pc build too inside a formd t1 (so a totally opposite approach) but I really enjoy this aesthetics.
That’s awesome! I like seeing different builds from mine too cuz it’s always cool to see what other people prefer in terms of parts and/or aesthetics!
A bundle assuming that you bought them from Micro Center only took a guess been at one of the locations, but can say that it is an amazing build, and we all make mistakes in our build part of the learning process. My only regret is not buying the Amd gpu sooner, but went with the Intel A750, Asrock X670E Steel Legends, Steel Legends 7600 XT (Current), Seagate 530 2tb ssd, Corsair case 5000D, and 32 gb rams. Will be honest Amd gpu are much lighter than the Nvidia counterpart. Love to see more content
I really enjoyed watching you build your PC 😊
Great vid. You just helped me decide on which pc case I'm going to get. Hyte Y70 looks so good and seems easy to build in 😅
Yes its very spacious so easier to work with!
This was so helpful and cute. Congratulations on finishing!! I’m starting my own build next month with the pink y70!
Congratulations! Great build!
I just ordered this case too after watching this. So excited!
Awesome! I just saw they’re gonna start making different colors for the case too which I’m very tempted to purchase in the future lol
This is sooo pretty and congrats on your first build! As long as it works for you it’s perfect 😍 dont listen to these opinionated comments we all love you 😘
Thanks gurl! yes it’s soo much nicer than any pc i’ve owned I couldn’t be happier with it 🥹
this actually wasnt a bad video. you did great
Thank you!! ☺️
Fun to watch i applaud your attempt as I’m assuming this was your first time . Good job hope it worked out for you ❤
Thanks! Yep first time building it
I want to get one so bad. Already saving money for it! btw it looks so good and aesthetic!
here in brazil São Paulo we have to work a whole year or two to buy and setup like this. btw congrats, Im happy for u
Sick build! I'm glad they are releasing more white PC parts too. I always wanted them but they are either too rare or too expensive. Lol I love Lian Li stuff it's what I use for my setup too. Hopefully in the future I can make a pure white build like that. My recent build is white/black/red. It was bad when I last upgraded because it was during the GPU shortage I ended up buying a pre built to rip out the GPU, CPU and mobo to shove into mine. Lol then I sold the rest cause it was crap I didn't need anymore. 😂 I should have waited till DDR5 was out to do it though. Oh well the 3070 upgrade was worth it.
Congratulations on the build! Gaming is going to be nice on that! Girl you need a second monitor though. I'm not sure how you can live without one! Gotta get a high refresh rate one next. 😅
Thanks! Yeah it’s a nice change cuz I’ve always had black or gray pcs so the white looks very clean! It does suck that they are more expensive but I’m hoping in the future they lower the prices. Oof yeah the shortage was crazy but glad you still got what you needed!
Oh don’t worry I do have a second monitor! I just didn’t show it cuz it’s also my tablet it’s clunky lol. Thankfully my main monitor does have high refresh rate which was another reason I needed a new PC cuz I couldn’t have a high refresh rate before!
@@somaswooshi Oh yeah! I think I remember seeing that before in previous videos. It looked really big. 😅 What kind of model is that tablet?
@@LunitaArtCraftits a wacom 22in haha it is kinda huge 😂
Nice build, you have the same vandal skin and same dps in genshin of me! love it.
You have collected a very good system, congratulations to you.😍😍🤩
I just want mine like yours! In two months we’ll see
Ooh thats so soon! I’m sure it’s gonna look amazing 🤩
I'm thinking about building with this case in the future or actually upgrading from a previous build, very cool we both have solid white cats
Yes do it! As a first experience I didn’t have any issue with the case and it looks very clean. I love all white cats except for when I wear black clothes 😆
lovee the video! hope to see more of this once you think of getting a new one (lol it's been 5 days AHHAHAHAHA) but yeah great vid! and actually very helpful in a way for those people who doesn't have experience with building a pc
Thanks! The most I can promise is showing future upgrades or decorating my current pc cuz i cant afford building another pc until I’m elderly 🥲
I like that this was cat approved!
Always gotta get their approval for any new stuff 😂
i am saving money for a PC, yours looks so cute and cozyyy
Idk if you connected the pcie cable of the gpu directly to the psu, but that’s not very recommended, and if they are extensions they should connect to the cables that came with the psu. Just to let you know 👍 Nice Build! 🙌
3:12 Your SSD is not installed correctly. You used the standoff instead of the proper screw that was provided with the mothetboard. If your ssd is installed at an angle, it is wrong. Ssd should be exactly parralell with the board. The standoff goes in first and then the ssd with tiny screw on top.
ใช่ เพื่อน SSD ติดตั้งผิดวิธี แบบนี้ทำให้ SSD เสียได้เลยเพราะการโค้งงอ
I'm pretty sure you install it first with an angle no? Then you push it down and fasten it
@appancha it needs to screw into a standoff. She screw it directly into the motherboard, which is wrong.
To bw honest its her stuff she paid for it so if she fucks it up is also her problem , these things even u noticed but only matter if someone is works in this area and do for clients pc ,because for that u need a do it correctly
@@kryzlo474nothing wrong with letting her know it’s messed up. Now she knows how to do it for her next build 🤷♂️
Loving it girl! Congrats!🎉
i will only dream of ever having a pc like this
I dreamed for over a year too lol but if you budget and research you can do it too!
love it! gonna copy it immediately
Good job on your first pc build! :D
Great build very nice !
Thanks!
This is an amazing build and looks absolutely stunning, but I think the gpu didn’t fit horizontally because you removed only one of the gpu slot panels. If you had removed both of them the gpu would have fit, but maybe I’m wrong! Either way the build looks incredible.
Thank you! ☺️ I did remove several slot panel covers off camera, but I could not find a way to fit it lol. Thankfully this case came with the part to be able to vertical mount, so maybe they knew certain gpus wouldn’t fit horizontally.
wooooww just wanna say congrats for ur first pc .. i do like it so bad, amazing and gorgeous
Thanks so much!
@@somaswooshi pleasure, keep it up
starting with a RTX 4080 you gave some high standers
sick build, can't imagine the anxiety when you pressed the on button only for it to not turn on haha
I never understood the saying of your soul leaving your body until that moment 😂 all that built up anxiety and excitement gone in an instant lol
Recommend a AMD Ryzen 7 instead of intel 9. Very nice first PC build, congrats. Honestly the Hyte Y70 Touch might've been better anyway. :)
can I ask why? I am building one now and cannot decide between these exact two.
@@lexid.2625 yeah, the amd performs better than anything from intel. (AMD 7 and AMD 9) the versions vary, so do your research. Sorry for the late reply!
@@ynlucii No worries! I actually took your advice you gave her and I am so happy with my build!
I love it, Gratz!

I'm gonna make the same build as you, it looks really nice!
Yay! Wishing you a smooth easy build process 😌✨
girl building a pc REALLY tested my patience, i’ve finished the build but my CPU overheats so i have to go to a professional because im mentally done trying to figure it out 😅
Sameee I thought about giving up several times cuz filming and building adds so much more time! Still you built a PC which is an accomplishment! I honestly think I was just lucky that any issues I had I could fix myself 😅
my father built his own pc years ago but his was not aesthetic like this one his was just black that he still uses today. Nice vid 🌺🌸
Thats awesome! I am also hoping the PC I built lasts me as long as possible 😌
i love the build!! I also just wanna say ur super cute and pretty
Ahh thank you you’re too kind 🫣❤️
this is way too clean🔥🔥🔥🔥
Good job for first build next time get them cats to chip in and help. They need to earn there keep lol!
You’re so right they should’ve at least helped me clean up instead they just played with all the boxes 😾

Wow very nice build! Those coolers are not cheap; I love the infinity fans from Lian Li. Why didn't you go with their case? Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Yes haha but its a little cheaper than the coolers with the screen, which i wouldve gotten if my budget allowed 😅 i was originally interested in the Hyte y70 with the touchscreen because I thought it was very unique and cool, but also expensive, so i opted for the case without the screen in case I want to add it in the future
Got same pure white build with lian fans and AIO but the Y70 looks way cooler then the Lian Vision or Dyn EVOXL. :)
nice build. i used the same bundle in my build lol.
nice good choice 😁
I would suggest you to do a little more cable management...otherwise impeccable taste in colors and design of the build..great work..
Gorgeous build!
Thanks! 😊
Felicitaciones! Me encantó tu PC y tu setup 🎉🎉
Besides one mistake with the ssd, you did amazing.

Damn, i was actually planning on building the exact same pc with the same parts, changing only the cpu from intel to amd, enjoy
You have good taste! it’s gonna be an awesome pc 😄
Now i'm afraid of building one, i can't be sure if it's safe if i don't have cats for the inspection time

May I ask where you get the kirby background it's so adorable !!!
Wallpaper engine!
How well does this run, and how good are the graphics? Im contemplating just learning to build a PC because I cant find any prebuilt im confident in.
Runs fast and buttery smooth 🧈 but it’s pretty new so I expect it to degrade as I use it more. I would recommend building a PC if you can’t find one that suits your needs! I needed one that I could edit and play games which is why I decided to build mine
@@somaswooshi thank you so much!
