Hi Yemi! Love your videos always. Just wanted to ask what job you currently work to get the PR so I can follow your footsteps too. And also when you say 200 point for NOC 0 jobs, what do you mean because I only know of 40 points after working for a year in NOC 0123. Please help! Thanks ❤ I was also a lawyer back home so please if you have any advice regarding that, I'll appreciate it.
Hello, Thank you for your kind words. I answered all these questions in the video even the lawyer one. Evaluate the degree to get the points. 40 points is for having work experience in Canada for a year not for the job itself while NOC points is associated with your job title.
Hello Yemisi, thanks so much for the videos you drop on here. I’m a registered nurse from Nigeria with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Currently doing my one year internship and I will be done by April(12months). I want to migrate to Canada through the PR pathway. Please what advice would you recommend for me. Also, regarding the work experience do you think I should wait for the 12month so I could use the one year as a work experience or I should just get into the pool. Thanks in advance for your reply
The internship will only count if it’s post study. Otherwise, you don’t get points for that. Also use the CRS tool to see if your score is high enough to get ITA. Otherwise, watch the video I plugged to increase your score.
Hello yemisi is it necessary that the name of person that signs your work reference letter is the same as the person that pays your salary if you want to show your bank statements for salary deposit
Hi yemisi, I am rounding up my 1 year programme on the 19th of December in supply chain management and I don't Intend taking another program. What'. Will be the next step after taking my celpip in January. Do I have to get a job in my field of study? Question 2: my husband is on his work permit and currently working with a production company for 4 months now, is he eligible to apply through CEC ? What other pathway can he apply?
Hello, I already mentioned that you don’t have to apply for a job in your field of study if your foreign work experience is more than 3 years. You can use that. Yes, he can apply through the CEC after working for a year. Also, there’s a new AAIP route in Alberta that he may want to look at. Check other provinces that may have similar routes
Good afternoon yemisi thanks so much for answering my answer on this video but I did not understand your answer to my question.i am the 25yr old came into nbcc and studying psw.what options did you suggest should I apply for my pgwp for 1yr and when should I apply
You’re welcome. This wasn’t the question you asked me. It depends on you. Have you checked the CRS tool to know how strong your CRS point is? If you have more than 3 years work experience from your home country, then you may be good. Otherwise, you may want to apply for another program to get two years study for a three years PGWP then work for a year and all the other things I mentioned in the video.
Thank you Yemisi. I have a question please. I am 29 and currently in canada and taking a 2 year pgd. can i apply for PR now while i am still studying? my work experience from Nigeria is in NOC 1. what partway do you think i can apply through for my PR before graduating
If you have written your IELTS and evaluated your result from your home country ,yes you can be in the pool and when you're done with your current study you can add it to your profile.
To buttress what she said, use the CRS tool in the description box to see if your score is high enough to get ITA otherwise wait till you finish then get the point for having a Canadian degree.
