    That is beautiful Mike. IM IN NH DOES ANYONE ELSE COMPENSATE ACOUSTIC NUTS ???

      Hi Jeff. I work as an independent and have developed my own approach. I've never tried any of the other various products that are out there .... earvana / buss feiton / and peel and stick off the shelf versions etc ... The biggest challenge ( and it's probably why no one else takes the time to do it ) is the "moving target" that you are faced with when doing this job precisely. The same guitar with different strings and different tuning ( alternate ) and different action preferences, will require a different compensated nut.

    Thanks for the video. I have to do this on one of my old guitars. Why would you ever compensate a nut? Saddle yes, but the nut? Why? Never seen that in my life. Just wondering why you would do that.

      Good question! I have 2 Martin guitars coming up next video. I will do a before and after on both of these guitars so that you can see ( more importantly HEAR ) exactly why your the compensated nut is needed, for super precise intonation. Stay Tuned ;^ ) ! MMcC
