I love fishing ultralight and especially trout magnets in my local creek. You don't know what you're going to get. I landed just yesterday a 16" largemouth on one with 2lb mono, it sure was a challenge!
Thats what i tell everyone that doesnt understand ultralight fishing. I have caught more big fish with ultralight gear than i have with heavy tackle. All tackel has its place ultraligh or heavy but i prefer ultralight for most of my fishing. And you are correct, you never know what will bite the end of that line with micro baits. I love the youtube algorithm sometimes. While I do sometimes enjoy seeing people with millions of views and catching monster fish on a boat worth more than most houses, I'm glad I got recommended this video. Fishing at its core. I have caught more quality fish switching to ultralight fishing. While i still love catching big cats and big bass like the next person. To be honest i like the pflueger president reels. As far as rods i have tried several different ones and my next rod will be a bass pro panfish elite. I say thank you for that fish lord. I feel that if i thank the good lord above for every fish i catch he will bless me with more. Sometimes i even thank him for the ones that get away. @@Blueskies_23 That was a ugly channel catfish unless they can breed with yellow bullhead. This lake does have yellow bullhead in it also. I have been told yellow bullhead are good to eat and i have been told they are nasty and taste like mud. I would like to do a video and catch both and do a side by side comparison catch and cook as soon as it cools off a bit here and they start biting better. A tip with TM's. Tie on a 1/64 oz head and leave a long tag, maybe 6-12". Then tie on a mini magnet of a different color. Sometimes you will hook 2 fish. Do not know why it works but it does. Pan fish really seem to like it.
Perch also and small bass. Most of the fish hit mini magnets. Did I mention trout. Mini mag my favorite. Now the mini mag jig head with Power Bait products, look out fish, I am coming to a pond near you.
I dont think he was a flathead, but i thought he may have been a mix of chanel cat and bullhead since both are in this water. The head didnt match the body. Thank you for the comment. And yes from TN. The camera is a hero 11. God bless.
Nice video beautiful place if you truly enjoy ultralight fishing check out mule fishing he has some ultralight baits he does alot of ultralight fishing I have watching his and creek fishing adventures for a while now I am trying to get in to ultralight fishing and bass fishing
Thank you for the information. I will check them out. I will have to say i have fished for big bass for several years. But when i got into ultralight fishing it changed everything for me. I catch way more fish, i catch way more quality fish to eat if i want to and it keeps my kids busy catching fish instead of waiting on a bite. And with the right pole and the right line a small fish feels like a 20 pounder. Thank you for the comment's i always welcome them. God bless and have a good day. @@byhisgracefishing I have pretty much done catfishing only and if you have done any catfishing it can be really slow and I am on disability and trying to more moving around to lose weight
@@raygissendanner1476 sometimes ultralight fishing can keep you moving. Catch a couple fish and move down 10 foot and repeat. But sometimes when you can find bedding fish you can catch hundreds in one spot cast after cast. Good luck my friend i will be praying for your health. God bless.

I love catching bug fish on ultralight gear. We usually have 2lb on our set ups
I use alot of 2 lb also. It just makes the experience that much better when you have to take your time with the fish. God bless my friend.
