I hope that Nancy chooses herself eventually, at least for the time being, since her entire storyline shouldn't resolve around which guy she ends up with.
How about the show is about the actual characters that are useful not just ones that spread their legs and hop from one guy to the next. she should have been killed season one. I care nothing about her. 11, Mike, Dusty those are the characters I care about.
I kinda agree with her. Nancy doesn’t need to pick one just like Jonathan or Steve doesn’t need to either. Remember these are just kids. Let them live their lives first
@@22taylorsversion9 i know that, but this is fiction, it has nothing to do with her real life. i'm speaking from how she sounded in this interview, it seems like she maybe prefers stancy a bit.
@KenyaGirly I definitely wouldn’t stereotype Steve/Nancy shippers as more vicious than Jonathan/Nancy as it seems you are implying. I personally prefer Steve/Nancy and I’ve posted some fan edits and art on my social media. And I’ve never once written a negative comment about jonathan/Nancy ship.. and still I’ve been literally verbally attacked constantly by Jonathan/Nancy shippers, every day. It makes me want to not be a part of the fandom at all. I feel like there’s always radical and hateful shippers on both sides.
I'm all for Robin/Nancy, I think they would be the perfect match for both characters. That being said, if Nancy absolutely has to end up with one of the guys, I'd rather she just stays with Jonathan tbh, at least he understands Nancy and respects what she wants out of life (he'd rather they broke up and she goes on to study and succeed in her career) as opposed to Steve who aparently wants her to be a housewife with 6 kids (wtf???). I love Steve's character but the Nancy he's picturing in his family fantasy does not resemble the Nancy Wheeler we have seen on the show. I want Steve to find happiness with someone who actually does love him and wants the same kind of future as he does. Stancy at this point just feels like a disservice to both characters imo.
@@laurenmasters not sure if you got what I meant, but it's like this for me: Ronance > Nancy being alone > Jancy > Stancy. Tbh I don't care at all about Vickie because the Duffers put zero effort in writing this character, her whole purpose is being Robin's crush and we never see who she actually is and why Robin should like her or be with her (not to mention the fact that they basically went ctrl+c ctrl+v on Robin's character with her line about not knowing when to stop talking...). Yeah, sorry, Vickie feels like a very half-assed and lazy way to give us "queer rep". Anyways, this is just my opinion, this is all very subjective so to each their own. Just wanted to clarify that I'm 100% aboard the Ronance train 'cause going back to my original comment it felt like I'm rooting for Jancy, which isn't actually the case lol
I really dislike that their pushing for Steve and Nacy again. It feels like such a de-evolution of their characters, and it honestly just feels like a way for us Steve fans to get their "Steve gets the girl" moment which just feels so disrespectful to their characters and the way they've grown. It boxes them into needing to be together romantically to have respect and love for one another, when that isn't true and isn't realistic in my opinion. 😔
@@22taylorsversion9 Right! After you're in a relationship and you learn that the person you were in love with never felt the same way, you don't bounce back into a relationship. From experience for real 💀 that shit messes w you
same!! Steve and Nancy is a waaaay more interesting pairing, always has been, from day one until now. it doean't help that jonathan hasn't grown in *any way* as a character since the start of the show, at all, and that he and nancy spent most of s3 arguing and literally telling each other that they don't understand each other anymore. but even ignoring that part, it's weird that people are shocked by the possibility of steve and nancy getting back together, considering that the way they've both evolved as characters makes them pretty perfect for each other now. steve's growth is more outward than nancy's, but... all anyone has to do is listen back to nancy's side of the "and that's why i love him!" scene in s4e1, when she's talking to fred and jon is talking to argyle - I'm not trying to say she was "subconsciously" talking about Steve, but she *definitely* wasn't describing jonathan 😂 it just so happens that steve fits the person she was describing perfectly at this point, and she saw it for herself this season. 🤷🏼♀
I hope she doesn’t end up back with Steve. I think Nancy as a character being more grounded and self-aware fits Jonathan better. He’s also throughout the seasons become the babysitter/protector of the kids and Dustin’s friend that it would be weird if they all of a sudden went back to the same old romance from season 1. God forbid Will and Jonathan can’t have one single good thing in their life to look forward or be happy about. Let him and Nancy be together and be done with it.
I don't know why people seem to think that "Steve has become a better person" is a reason for Nancy to get back together with him! Did he do that JUST to get her back? Because if he did, he's an asshole and that defeats the purpose of growing as a person. Steve needed to get his head out of his ass regardless of what Nancy does. He wasn't a very good person before - certainly not the type of guy who would worry about clearing Eddie's name or befriending a lesbian in Indiana in the '80s. Also, his whole dream of having a bunch of kids and going on vacations is exactly what Nancy has always said she didn't want; a dead-end life on the cul-de-sac like her mother. Also, she doesn't have to suddenly be into girls because Robin is a good friend. She's just been missing a best friend in her life ever since Barb died. She even DRESSED her like Barb when they went to the sanitarium! You CAN have platonic friends, you know.
Jancy have real deepness, they know each other so well and have similar plans. In the other hand, the Stancy thing is all based on Steve. He's not being self-minded, it is just that Nancy hasn't even shared anything with him. He doesn't know her plans and dreams. And she probably hates the idea of setting and having children
Bro in season 4 part of Jonathans arc is that he does NOT have the same plans as nancy and was gonna BREAK UP with her because of that. And theyre drifting apart because of it

I think they all have like a 'role' in the group. If Mike's 'the heart', Steve's like 'the protector', Johnathan 'the empathy' etc. Steve wants Nancy to be the housewife and mother. But she's more career minded and doesn't want the same life as her parents. Johnathan understands her and will sacrifice his own happiness for her, letting her go, out into the world and college without him. He thinks he'll hold her back.
Having kids and travel only on summers, doesn't mess with the idea of having a great career and job. Also Steve says HE wants to raise the cute little nuggets...
Steve never said anything about Nancy being a housewife. He simply said he dreams of having a family with her. Having a family does not equal housewife/no career for Nancy. Working mothers exist and if anyone’s do that it’d be Nancy. If anyone is implied to be the one who’s more hands on with the kids, it’d be Steve. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nancy ends up working as a journalist/detective while Steve is the more stay-at-home dad.
