@@KevinCoplin they probably woudnt dare, due to the risk of people starting to talk about how fucked up the healthcare inscurance market is. They are to busy pushing the idea that he's just a lone madman
That first case was horrifying, the real life details even more so. That gross disregard for that little girl’s life, that shouldn’t have never happened.
The adoptive mother clearly wanted someone to love her, and not to do right for the child. She was to pushy and had no knowledge or experience of foster children with trauma. Shw didnt want to take the time to form bonds and respect boundaries, causing the kid to act out. She should never have been allowed to adopt her in the first place, bur should have gotten a puppy, not a human with feelings she clearly didnt care about when she didnt get the result she had dreamed off. Her actions were selfish.
I once heard that they won’t adapt the Alex Jones case because it was so bizarre that no one would believe it. Seriously y’all, take a look at the case. Some of the real life stuff feels like it was taken out of Ace Attorney or something
In the subway vigilante case, the defense attorney asked her client one question and then proceeded to testify herself! About how a person facing grave danger can’t be expected to think. That would NEVER have been allowed. Also attorneys on both sides, throughout the L&O franchise, when cross-examining a witness and the other side objects, merely say “withdrawn” as a way of getting around the objection. That takes away the judge’s ability to rule on the objection and would never be allowed in any courtroom I’ve ever been in!
The problem with _Subterranean Homeboy Blues_ is not only did it really happen (though to a white man), but similar events have happened in the last few years.. and even when things were not intended to harm or even kill, it happened because of the actions and behavior of the "victim". What repulses me so much about the last episode, _Myth Or Fingerprints_ , is how utterly reprehensible it is that it really happened at all.

The cases based on real-life crimes tend to be scarier than the episodes that are purely fictional
How long till the Healthcare CEO murder case gets adapted into Law and Order?

Give it a few years.
They already did one where a guy who'd been denied a claim killed an insurance exec. And the jury acquitted.
They're too worried about Benson's feelings n her gay future serial killer son to write anything meaningful now days....

First one: if my child told me that she couldn't breathe and was dying.... It was my job as the mother to take my child side and help her
2:28 That was said to the actual Candace Newmaker by one of the therapists.

Oh man, McCoy and Stone are too good! No mercy, full justice!
Is that a young Rob McElhenney?!
It is.
Hahaha! I love some Jack McCoy! Get em, Jack!

We also have real-life issues based on Law and Order episodes... like with E. Jean Carroll. Her entire story was identical to one of their episodes.

I was wondering if this would cite the Kitty Genovese case from 1964.
It didn't.
They have to come up with some fictional sht to tone things down....
