I just thought of the dumbest but most entertaining theory.
You know how in the film joker we see Arthur's story as an aspiring comedian, but we never get to see really see what he's been doing prior to that. What if Jared is actually Arthur before he snapped in Silicon Valley, killed everyone and went to the asylum (where we see him at the start of the movie) the Joker movie. If the finale of Silicon Valley ends exactly on that scene joker began.
I mean Jared isn't even Jared's real name and his history is a bit sketchy like Arthur's. He laughs when Richard and the guys insult him. He's always trying to be positive. Joker in the other movies is a criminal master mind which could be the skills he picked up while working in Silicon Valley coordinating things.
I know it's Silly but it kept me entertained for a minute there.
It's been such an under-rated show. Comedy ain't unfiltered no more!

(Despite real lifelong Simpsons fans knowing Apu is one of the very few characters in the Simpsons that is portrayed very well actually, being Vegan, very intelligent, very successful business owner, very caring, a loving family man, etc etc).........

Roseanne Barr made a wildly racist tweet and participated in various conspiracy theories, even including school shootings. She's a vile person and deserved to get kicked off TV years ago.
The Apu doc wasn't perfect, but let's not pretend a white man doing a caricature of an Indian accent for decades is without fault either. And it has first person accounts of how Apu's popularity resulted in Indian-Americans getting humiliated and made fun of, which I don't know how you can dismiss.
Coming from another millennial, comedy can be edgy but not everything edgy is comedy. A good example would've been the old tweets James Gunn was fired over. Those were edgy and maybe not humorous to everybody, but they were clearly meant as jokes and didn't imply that Gunn was a pedophile, which right-wingers went nuts with as definitive proof. There's a lot of criticism regarding comedy going about these days, but some of it is definitely necessary.

I actually thought it just straight up ended when he got his business. it made perfect sense to me at the time to end when he got to the top, but I guess that's when the story just starts isn't it

They are only ending it just so they can revive it like they've done every main character on the show, and then make that part of Chuck's story in the show... Literally a 1000+ years from now the show will still be on, probably after being cancelled a 100+ times. The advanced technology of the time will be used to digitally recreate the actors, then they will be androids, then eventually technology will allow them to reanimate the long dead actors corpses, and as we launch ourselves into interstellar space, and achieve faster then light travel the show will spread throughout the universe and its story will be our story and our story it's story and that all will of course be part of Chuck's story in the show, and then our story, then our story will be the shows story, and Chuck's story .... and so on and on and on..... and on... and, well you get the point.
Glad to see "Tres Comas" Tequila is still being enjoyed.

as much as i love this stupid fucking show, based on the trailer it seems like they're starting to go in narrative circles so I'm happy they're ending it now. Although of course that could change once the season premieres.
