I am on my first appointment right now yeah I can honestly say I am applying more of what you have taught me through your videos then what I have learned throughout the rest of the process and help groups ha ha. Thank you for all you do. It blows me away how high-quality your videos are. Not sure how people did it before you were on youtube
Hey Matt, I'm right in the middle of Mocats 10 day intensive and heading straight to FL afterwards for Ian damage. Well worth the money, highly recommend them.
Idk why you're not getting more views but i appreciate your work to this channel. At 6 or 7 claims a day your an inspiration and a huge reason i chose to change careers away from Oil
I'm here this evening, so there'll be a herd of blacklisted covert ops showing up shortly y'all brace yourself for abusive speech, behavior, etc. But I am determined to make a sustainable income even if they are.
Depends on the firm. The big established firms will put your invoice into payroll as soon as it clears QA and closes. These days, you should be able to get 60% of the invoice.
Matt, Just found your channel and website. Thanks for all this great info. I have worked as an ins agent but would like to shift to IA. Can my wife and I work together as a team on Cats? Would she need a CSR license?
1st of all thank you so much...Matt !!! What do you think about , a RV I have access to one ,,, to save money on hotels, and food with tow behind, vehicle,, use the RV as the base Camp / office, and use the tow behind as the claims workhorse. # 2 -- not afraid of roofs , in fact , owned roofing company for years, Here is my question, do insurance companies, accept, droid, pictures, and droid Video. Yes , with high end equipment , such as a high end droid , and FAA license.
So I am just starting my journey and found your channel and watching through all your videos. I did have a question on the hotel thing for the induction. You said as soon as you get the go, call and book you a hotel at the induction site, how long should you book that one for? I know for the actual deployment you went into more detail, so I got that one. Just wanted to see if we should book for a day or week or what, because with that many people coming in, they might not let you extend your stay if you don't book long enough.
Generally you can cancel a reservation day-of or 24 hours out so I would reserve it for a week and then plan on canceling as soon as I needed to. Be sure to look at the fine print because sometimes the reservations can be non-cancelable.
Dude : re, partner ... what about 1 doing claim onsite but 1 at home synchronized with primary computer who is already making dictation notes in between on appointment to next, and on partner at home doing filing with that synchronized computer account and dictation notes in place as well as photos logged. Could see 12 claims "?" a day with primary agent signing off after reviewing the files that evening ? And what is the current status of ai in this formulation have you researched it's impact and efficiencies for this industry ?
AI is making inroads in object recognition - that is, Xactware is developing AI so that an insured or an adjuster can stand in the middle of a room and wave their phone around and the phone will provide measurements, a diagram, AND a complete contents list with prices. You can try to science the claims process but the simple fact is that a person needs to do a few deployments themselves to get their brains wrapped around the workflow. Then it starts to become clear where things can be outsourced. At first glance, people think that estimating and scoping are that place - but experienced adjusters will tell you that they spend almost as much time on the phone as they do in the field and having a dedicated person to just take care of phone work will move the needle as much or even more than hacking the claims process.
Yeah, I've seen that on hurricanes. After they cleared the interstate after Katrina, there were huge piles of cut off pines along both sides of the road. FOR MILES AND MILES.
Your video is very helpful
Thanks!
I am learning. Thank you.

It's a small market:) Thanks for watching!
How has the transition from oil and gas going ? Looking at making that move myself

how is the pay system work, is it net 30 or net 60? Is it as soon your claim is closed?
Depends on the firm. The big established firms will put your invoice into payroll as soon as it clears QA and closes. These days, you should be able to get 60% of the invoice.
@@AdjusterTV so on daily claims and CAT deployments everything is out of pocket until claims are closed?
Great stuff, LOL 60 pairs.

Just found the answer to my question, about 50 min into this video. Thanks for the help :)
Hey, no problem! I've been out of town for the past few weeks so thanks for your patience:)
How long does a "hurricane deployment last"?
Shortest is a couple weeks.. but 6-8 months or even up to 18-24 months is not unheard of, depending on a number of factors.
Depends field or inside?
Great Timing for this video!
Thanks again Matt!
You're welcome, Brad! Let me know if you have any questions..
So right on
Good vid Matt
1st of all thank you so much...Matt !!!

Can my wife go with me and be my driver while I sit in the back and complete the claims?
She can. But if you want her to take calls and do admin work she'll probably need a license and/or carrier cert.

I hope ya just leave phone off till thru with client and do you initiate visual voice mail on your service ? Betcha that would be helpful.
Regarding ladder assist q ... can it predominantly be done by drone assist instead of ladder to roof
walking roof ? macrolense on the drone for roof ?
Yes, definitely leave your phone off or in the car. Carriers dictate if we can use drones or not so it's not always up to us if we use them.
Good stuff Matt! Thanks
Hey, no problem, Matthew!
@50:00 the tool
Extremely informative thank u 😊
keep those videos rolling
Just found your videos, you do a great job in understandable languge, keep it up!
Thanks, Trent!

Michael was really weird. All trees cut off at about 60 foot up. All of them.
So creepy
Yeah, I've seen that on hurricanes. After they cleared the interstate after Katrina, there were huge piles of cut off pines along both sides of the road. FOR MILES AND MILES.
I drove thur after being released from deployment in December. I drove an hour through damage. Looked like a laser war happened. No bark on any tree.
Does anyone have experience deploying with a pet?
Hurricane zeke...fisherman offshore... bahaha
A lot of value and information not blandly delivered. Thank you : )
Yeah, poor guys. Why doesn't anybody think about the dudes who have to make a living offshore?? :)
2 hours!?! Bout to make some popcorn and go medieval on this
Lol yes!
