This actress is so beautiful with that lovely and elegant classical Chinese facial features that are getting quite rare among modern C-Drama actresses. She looked like she has just stepped out from an ancient inkbrush painting. Good acting too!❤
This is a great “In-Novel/Transmigration”-version of the “I had to spend the night with a powerful official to save my brother-in-law”-story. I think it works really well. I loved this strong/capable/smart FL and patient/passionate/powerful ML. One thing, I’m used to bad subs, but this one takes the prize. Luckily, I’ve seen 2 other versions. This is the best IMO. Definitely well worth watching. SYNOPSIS - SPOILER ALERT!!! FL thinks she is having a very realistic wet dream with a really handsome Prince, but soon she realizes that she has in fact transmigrated into a novel, “Arousing spring”, which takes place in ancient time. She is now in the body of a character who married a man, who didn’t like her so he would rather join the army on their wedding night - and become a General - than stay with her. 8 years later, he still wasn’t back but she was still supporting his mansion and family despite their disliking her and treating her badly. Unknowingly she even raised what turned out to be her husband's son with his cousin who lived with the rest of the family in the mansion. In the end her returned husband and his family poisoned her to death. However, FL is confused as to why she is with the powerful Xiao Du Gong (ML) and not the husband, until she remembers that the body’s original owner was drugged by the family to spend the night with him in order to have him release her brother-in-law from jail. Since FL has entered the body before the husband returns - and before his secret son enters the mansion - FL decides to avenge the body’s original owner. And this FL isn’t prone to let anyone bully her. So, FL returns to the mansion and starts her plans to divorce this scumbag, take back her dowry and the money used to subsidize his family - and leave the house. Meanwhile, ML is adamant in not letting this woman he has loved for 18 years slip through his fingers again. But her husband (ML), the General, isn’t prone to let this woman ruin his plans for the future either. Soon, the three of them are on a collision course. Well, this has a very happy ending.
