    Hello TMA.
I would like to ask a question.
I've started rehabing seriously this january and basically stopped running. Mostly my issue is stiffness/tightness that won't go away. Also it's tender when I squeeze agressively. But my question is should I keep doing eccentrics or add more load? I can only feel it when I really push with my bodyweight against something for example to hold isometric. Is the load not enough or am I making it worse like that.
Doesn't get better or worse usually hours later. Does that mean the tendon is still weak ? Also I can do 6x15 eccentrics easily with weight in backpack. Just feels chronically stiff especially in morning or sitting for long

Stop squeezing it - it will stay tender when you squeeze it hard for long after you are back to full sport so that doesn't really tell so much.
I can't really tell what you should do without knowing all the full details of your situation and testing different things. It may be that they type of movement isn't great and that you should rather be doing isotonic exercises than eccentrics, it might be that the weight isn't right, it might also be that the recovery period isn't right - that you're doing the exercises too often or not often enough.
But if you've been doing the same exercises for several months and not seen improvement then something needs to change. I provide more advice about exercises here: ruclips.net/video/Dp8gzq9zoy4/видео.html

Neither of those treatments are useful in the long run - I've made a video recently discussing all the treatments that the research shows work best - the advice is for Achilles but applies to all tendons: ruclips.net/video/H1nfgU1amvg/видео.html

I did some heavy barbell rows yesterday and felt a guick burning pain right below my bicep, right in the area of the tendon. The pain was quick come and go, but I felt it every time I loaded my bicep heavy, so I stopped the workout. I have no soreness or swollen area. I think I can feel the burning slightly, but I am not sure if it is my mind playing tricks on me…
Is this signs of overuse? Should two weeks of rest from upper body training fix this?

It does sound as if you've overworked it but it can also be that you actually strained the tendon. So you will have to take it easy until you can no longer feel any discomfort in day to day activities and then VERY gently ease into training. But it may also be a good idea to actually get it checked by a physio to make sure it is not something more serious.

hi i have diagnosis on my MRI recently can you help me what is more effective for faster healing? these are the diagnosis 1) partial tear of Achilles tendon with insertional tendinopathy/intrasubstance tear. 2) retrocalcaneal bursitis and Achilles peri tendonitis. are EMS , TENS can help on tendon tear? thank you

TENS only reduces pain. EMS may be more useful because it strengthens muscles but it isn't that useful for tendons. You can find more advice on how to treat partial tears here: ruclips.net/video/O9E-PkGPZrM/видео.html

The most common causes for this type of situation include entering perimenopause or the menopause or using medication like fluoroquinolones (but there are others) or if you have hypermobility syndrome it may be part of that (but this usually manifests in teens or twenties). But speak to your doctor about any other things that may be contributing because it may be something systemic.

@@TreatMyAchilles thank you. I'm 44 and the tendonitis started just last fall. I should probably have my hormones checked? Thanks for answering me!
