Zoe was a badass but did not look like one. That is why 'The hero of Jaynetown' was so handy. I would trust Zoe over Jayne 10 out of 10 times in a real fight. Zoe's marriage to wash really centered the crew. It made the ship a home more than anything else did. I loved that when Wash died, Zoe was pregnant with his child. Emma was their daughter. God be with you!
Why didn’t you include the comics in any of these? Zoe discovered she was pregnant just after the movie events. She had a rough delivery as she began hemorrhaging and had to be rushed to a hospital. She was arrested and taken to a desert prison until Mal came and rescued her. She saw that the Operative had helped Mal save her but said it didn’t change what he had done. She gives him a gun and walks away with him, then returns alone, indicating she killed him. Mal offered to let her leave Serenity but she chose to stay. River helped with Emma for a time but after River was activated again, Zoe told her to stay away. In Boom’s comics, the Alliance tries to trap Zoe with a robot made to be like Wash, with his personality and some memories. But the Washbot protected her as Wash would have. She went to Earth with the crew and captain Kaylee and later returned after helping the locals and battling the Alliance. Zoe planned on staying but changed her mind at the last minute, though the Washbot stayed behind. It had showed Zoe some of Wash’s family history and she had taken a liking to it, but it wanted to figure out its place apart from Wash’s identity. In Brand New Verse, she captains Serenity and argues a lot with adult Emma. She’s more hardened and cynical. She gets captured by Blue Sun and Emma gets help from Simon and Kaylee plus River and Inara to rescue her. It’s shown that she was angry at Inara but why isn’t fully explained. She wonders if there is still good in the verse and admits in the end that Emma has shown her there is.
Because not everybody reads the comics, or books. A lot of people don’t consider them cabinets since a lot of times they wander around. I guess it depends on the franchise.
Zoe was perfect. Except she couldn't cook well. But apparently, no one really could. Except that strange woman who married Mal. But I think it was better to eat Zoe's bad cooking than that other woman's better tasti g food.
I had the impression that Zoe didn't like Wash initially because of his moustache.
One of the novels confirms it
