This song is one of my favorites. We usually ask reactors to wait to react to this song till they are familiar with the individual members. Then they are surprised at hearing the switch ups in the voices. Tim who is known for his bass can sing in a beautiful higher tenor voice along with Austin & Rob. And Chance can hit the lower bass notes when needed. Adam did a fabulous job as always with his vocal percussion. The original song is sung by a woman Cam, so they sung it in a higher key to match the original range.
These guys have trained extensively. The first two singers were competitive singers in grade/high school. The third studied opera at college. What looks simple usually takes a lot of hard work. Adam, studied trumpet performance in college. Taught himself beatboxing when he and his brother Chris started Home Free at the end of 2000. He’s gotten better even in last 10 years since they won The Sing Off. Thanks for the reaction.
And that's why we love them. At least I am. A musician can be perfect, but if he(or she)doesn't show the fun their having doing it, I don't enjoy it either.
What’s fun about this song is the first singer, Tim, is the deep bass. He has a 5 octave range so he’s showing off his upper range singing with the tenors while Chance is doing the bass. It’s a fun song and they’re all immensely talented. Good one Greg!😄🤩
As someone said below, if you don't know what range they usually sing this one doesn't have the shock value. You have the super bass, Tim, singing tenor at the beginning and later the baritone, Chance, singing bass. The beatboxer's name is Adam Rupp.
Every time that it has been a while since I watched this video, Tim's voice surprises me all over again. I KNOW he takes the first lead, I KNOW he can do it, but it still is surprising to see that face and hear that voice together. Austin went through college and was trained in Musical theater, but since he started singing 'on stage' at a very young age, he was probably born with a bunch of talent.
Chance can go nearly as low as Tim. He actually sang bass with another vocal group before he joined these guys. He falls a little short on the high end of Tim's range but they are almost interchangeable
Yes, a song with surprises. Tim who goes tenor, Austin and Rob who also hit different notes than usual, the inhuman vocal percussion of Adam and as a great end to the surprises the incredible bass of Chance. Simply fabulous
Tim and Chance switched it up on us! Masterpiece from the boys! Watched this about 100 times!! Please react to more .The Home Fries would appreciate it
This is so very awesome. At the beginning it was the bass (Tim Foust) Singing the high part which he did throughout. Chance did the low bass. Love your reaction!
PERFECTION as always!🥰🎶 If you really want to see how much Adam gets into & loves his job PLEASE react to their new one just dropped “Life Is A Highway “!! It’s a blast! 😂🥰
I love this version of this song, they all shine ✨. I just checked your catalog of videos and I didn’t see any VoicePlay and I’m really surprised, you should check them out if you haven’t yet they are amazing as well. Thanks for the reaction.
Hey Greg new subscriber here!! I am a Home Fry!!! I love these guys and I love to see your reactions to them. If you want to hear a song that will make you forget they are A Cappella then my suggestion is to listen to their cover of Love Train by The O’Jays!! It blows my mind every time I hear it!!!!🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
The live comments are crazy lmao this isn't house party music, we're not trying to put a cappella bands on the aux at the function. Doesn't mean this isn't good ass music. Everything has a time and place

They all love what they're doing, and when they're not doing it for a living, they're doing it for fun. My favorite vocal band!

Tim Foust, Geoff Castellucci and Avi amaze me with the vocal range that they have. I love that Chance took the bass line too. They can do anything!

Talented, hardworking, down-to-earth, music-loving guys! As a fan, I know I am appreciated!

Luv how the bas to took a tenor lead to start. What a vocal range🤘
