I watched a few of your videos out of curiosity to learn more about our new generation who live in the West. Thank you very much for teaching our Arab culture indirectly to the new generation in a fun and nice way. Saying that, I want you to know you have some kind of responsibility to present the true culture and do some research before you state certain facts, like the Za’tar and Duqa. Growing up I picked up my own Za’tar with my family who learned the process way before the Nakba. In Palestine we make Za’tar that is made of Z’atar, (plant) salt, sumac, and little olive oil and looks very green. That is the one that we made and still make with a little variation from one area to another. I heard about Duqa, which is made mainly from wheat but never made it or tasted it since it is not done in my area in Palestine. So please pay attention to these details because Palestinian Za'tar is not just Duqa. They are two different things and both are made in Palestine. Every little detail could erase some of our heritage and culture if not preserved by the new generation. Thank you.

Because north Palestine has similar culture as Lebanon and before 48 the borders were open to each other and shared similar culture. So certain food is done the same of similar in Lebanon and Palestine. Also, yes we have za'aatar and duka in Palestine and it is part of our rich culture.
