I'm not sure it's possible to be a folksinger and a country singer.. I can think of a few who tried.. I guess pick a lane? The conflict is way to deep to put share cropping into effect at this point.. it's not in the cards for a while I don't suppose.. nothing personal.. twisting both sides will get you in trouble.. red white and new.. old blue has lost they minds..
