I live in CA and many stores have gone to kiosk ordering, cash is paid at the counter only. Many stores closed, dining room hours cut, drive through only, ect. There's no way fast food has added jobs.
Kiosk’s havnt replaced workers they have shifted coworkers to other tasks and people ordering through kiosks typically order/spend more. It’s been shown that kiosks actually create more work for the back of the house so the job creation that you can’t see might be because it’s not front line job creation.
@@JodoKast1221lol that’s a dumb conclusion!! My daughter in law works in fast food.. all the kiosk does is free up bodies to work in the cooking area, but there is still only 2 or 3 people working in the cooking area!!

@@JodoKast1221 That sounds like the PR used by companies to justify replacing workers with machines. In reality, kiosks replace workers. They don’t schedule more people in the back. It just takes longer to get your order.
Not my conclusion. I read a study on kiosk use in fast food and that’s what the study concluded. If you are closed minded and only willing to believe what you invent or what Faux News tells you that’s your problem.

Not the same prices like a year and more ago but get the apps to get a discount! And vote NO on prop 32!

As a consumer, I’ve noticed the extreme price increases in going out to eat. Ive literally cut back going out to eat. No more fast food restaurants and half going to fiull service restaurants.

That is totally accurate. And then the place often closes. We've had three fast food places here close for a similar scenario. A Dairy Queen here went to drive thru only. I thought they were actually closed because it took so long for someone to take the order a the drive through. When I got to the window there were only two people working. The one taking the orders was helping the other person which is why it took so long. They eventually closed for good. Burger King was similar. I paid at the window, she had me pull up and said there would be a little wait because she had to go fix my food. It is still open, but I don't go there anymore. A third fast food place (regional 12 locations) couldn't keep help. My sister stopped there and there was one kid working who showed up. He told her he was limited and didn't know what to do. My sister told him he should go home for safety reasons. That place also eventually closed completely, all locations.

So, what people don't like is this is mandated by the state of California. But if you look at the state of North Dakota the average fast food hourly wage is $21.55. So, as always Fox business is not addressing the overall increase in fast food salary in other states.
Yet you don't tell people the cost of living in North Dakota. The company I work for has had some work there. They can hardly get anyone to go up there and work .

My hours were cut from on average 45 hours per week to 22 hours per week. Guess what, I had to get another part time job working 20 hours per week. Still making less than when my per hour wage was small working 45 hours per week

When I was manger of an Italian restaurant in Arkansas we did over 1.1M on sales and debated opening a second store in the same town because we already had a trained workforce who could work 25-30 hours at each location each week. Also always hired someone who was working at Sonic because those are the best employees.
