I'd sooooooooo much love to see more of your campaigns... I absolutely loved what few episodes you posted a few years ago ^^
We were a few minutes in and I realized I didn't have to load up entire maps to grab models from them. I've learned so much.

Already liked at the very start. Cap'n, you have no idea how much I needed this, between the map and guidance and the program itself
I have been considering picking this game up for a few weeks. This video makes me want to do so even more.
The smallish round towers you snagged from the Tau map would do brilliantly as the bottom part of a laser turret. Just sink them halfway into the ground, shrink the turrets to fit and set them on top of them.
Wow! This is an impressive thing... and still got the total table top rpg feel with it... I have to look deeper into this... it might revive my old rpg-group which kind of scattered all over the country by now... Thanks for sharing @TheXPGamers
The idea about making the scenario specifically stand out, I didn't think it was that good. But the idea of ultilizar tokens as walls was great. Thanks, it helped me a lot!

cool video, Could i request a slight change of title though - "Table top simulator, how to make a 3d battle map". I thought you were doing some actual table top wargaming scenery making, you know with paint and polystyrene and so on.
Also, would love it if you brought back some of the tabletop/tabletop simulator RPG sessions to youtube or twitch. They were great streams and i really enjoyed them.
are there models/terrain with light sources on them? like a little light sources set on a little wall lamp, or anything to get some light and shadow effects?
Empire doesn't do wood. They're all about prefabs and having everything ready for an impromptu base.

Do you know of a good way to get the base background map tiles that you build off of (the image you are importing in the beginning) ? is there a website?

Guys keep ab eye out for an upcoming game called Talespire. It goes into beta at the end if the month and it looks amazing for 3D Tabletop Battlemaps and looks so good.
I might have missed something.
But how do you save all the minatures/environment parts of the map so you can 'Build' it via One World?
The way it is right now, all my miniatures stay on the table regardless of what map I choose, and I don't have a 'Build' option? you showed us how to place the mini's and environment (which is appreciated) but not how to save it?
Will i need to have photoshop to make the maps more 3d? or will other programs work.
You probably could have used a Battletech Hover tank or such for the APC as well.
I have an idea. Could SE be useful for making sci-fi maps or at least a starting point
I did this for a 40k tabletop rpg. Had enough made for the entire first act of the campaign. Unfortunately the campaign fell apart after a few sessions as time zones weren't lining up so most of them are sitting there in my files never having been played on

Photoshop tip: using Ctrl+J automatically makes a new layer from the selected area.

I'm sure you know this now, but FOW on top of the table but the raised piece is in the FOW. I'm assuming lol

If you link the object, it will reveal everytihng is linked. So if if link the walls if the base, it will reveal everything attached to it
Question: I'd like to make a personal map but can't afford photoshop. Can you use Krita to make the 3d maps?
I'm having trouble adding the One WOorld "console" to my table... I've added the console and both Bases but it still doesn't work. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Dude, seriously. You could save like an hour by just taking Campaign Cartographer and painting in a ground texture over the crap you don't like.
Love your video, and love your ad-lib attitude. Maps aren't THAT hard to make, especially when you just want to paint in something you're going to put a fence around anyway.
I believe that Wonderdraft would be the fasteest way to make new maps, but for what you need, Campaign Cartographer, or even Photoshop with a repeatable or seamless tile.. ought to be able to fix that map in a matter of seconds.

Super aware this is really old. But I tried it. Made a good map. But when I build it, all my players crash and cannot rejoin. Any tips? Do they need to download all the workshop stuff?
I use blender to create models of everything, including terrains, since you can texture them they way you want and make them as high or low as you want. Just my 2 cents...
Oh, and you can also generate the textures if you want ... very versatile program for a lot of things and it's free.
Anyone know if this map is available on the workshop? Need to have a ShackMap bag

well... I found and marked one world... but as for the ow hub, and the ow ubase and ow wbase... I have NO idea where the sam smurf they are >,< and considering even filtered it's showing over 250 pages... im lost!

Windows as a built-in image editing software called MS paint and it is 100% guaranteed to improve the ergonomics and speed at which you manipulate and edit images!
