I met him at a burger king in Sandusky Ohio. They played at cedar point ,I wasn't there. Their limo was in the drive thru & I asked driver who was in it. He called back & they rolled down the window. He was with a lady. Got their autographs. 👍😁 Still have it.

What a talented brother he was. After his death it was hard for me to enjoy EW&F live in concert for a long time. Thankfully that time passed.
At a show in Memphis, Tn, Reese's hometown, at the Midsouth Coliseum they did a magical stunt. Sitting at the rail next to the speaker systems. During the music, in a magical moment Reese disappeared from the stage as the music played and all were amazed. Then the spotlight signed on the speakers an arm length from my seat and there Maurice appeared. I jumped up and extended my hand leaning against the railing and Maurice reached over and shook my hand. That was the GREATEST moment, from my #1 artist from the same hometown of Memphis. Maurice also attended the same high school Booker T. Washington as my mother Sylvia L Cooper. She graduated a year or two before him. In looking at her yearbook, there he was. RIP Maurice and thank you for still at 63 years old, my #1 recording artist for decades.

I was a big fan back in their heyday many years ago but I hadn’t given them much thought in recent years but out of nowhere a few months ago I had a dream where they were playing in a concert in a cold climate country like Sweden or Russia, the weather appeared to be a cold day and they were wearing winter clothing, nevertheless despite the weather they were doing what they do! Which was tearing it up!! Maurice was doing a solo on a violin (which a friend of mine who knew them personally said he did not play) then he pulled out a tiny violin 🎻 to play the last few notes of his solo, m-a-a-an, blew me away!!
