I miss these days. Now days the cars turn themselves on corner entry because of front end geometry improvements. This was also before the lr spring/shock was mounted behind the rear end housing so the driver had to have a lot more throttle control because the cars didn't have as much forward traction, just generally speaking the cars were slipping and sliding around a lot more. The 90s is definitely my favorite era of dlm racing.
Sometimes i wonder if too many Moyer on the pole nights nationwide are the reason they invented redraws lol. If they inverted em, he was usually on front row. No inversion…dang near always on the front row of the over 100 races i saw that he was in up to the year 1997
So weird seeing these old videos and the cars are running flat not on the bars like today’s cars

Such a racey track. Lots of passing and 2-3 wide. Just awesome
I was at this race, camped out for 2 nights in the parking lot. Hitt was untouchable..👍👏
Wow! Ive been watching everything i can find on you tube, 100s of vids from this era…and ive never heard of him. Rockship
I just watched Bloomquist blow by him like he was standing still (the usual)
Could someone give me an estimate on how much faster RTJ/Pierce/young money get around compared to Hitt/Bloomquist?
