The lyrics on this album, even if you don't fully agree with them, are beautifully written and definitely are a standout besides the incredible guitar tones and insane drum work.
Hell yeah Josiah! I love Tom's guitar work! They are amazing live, this might be my favorite of theirs yet. Chest Candy and Ladder Work might be my top songs here. Loved Rising Sun and Anonymous but this is the one. Glad you checked it out!
Chest Candy straight up sounds like it could've come from Rising Sun/Anonymous and I love that because they haven't done much in that style since then. Ladder Work... that one is something all it's own and I've never heard them do anything like it before. I think I'm with you on this album because it literally has all of my favorite things about this band and some new tricks, too. Couldn't ask for a better release!
To answer your question about their sound, yea they've always sounded a lot like RATM. I love it though since I don't think we get enough of that sound nowadays and they do it well
Interesting that I’m not the only one picking up on the possible RATM influence. Was telling my buddy it’s like a modern metalcore version of them. They make it work tho imo. A1 stuff 👌
