In my view, I saw that he was playing her in the sense that he knew EXACTLY how she felt about him. Once a guy knows your hooked, especially if they are not hooked on you, you just better hope that they don't need you because you have money, connections, or fame or whatever they want because you are screwed then.

rewatching these episodes from being in my early twenties to late twenties, it's crazy how your point of view changes. what I thought was sorta cute and romantic is now an absolute train wreck. it was not well thought out at all, proposing after two months not truly knowing each others day to day everyday lives. She should've made him work harder to win her over, what she dreamt of in a man and what she had in reality were two different things which is also relatable to a lot of people.
