We were what, in 1986, 6 years before "Images And Words", and nobody sounded like Queensryche. They were so ahead of their time, and this cover proves how they changed a pop song into a prog metal hymn ! geniuses !
Amazing cover. Queensryche back in those days were untouchable - they were better than everything. Fantastic vocals, great musicians. Such a classic! :-) :-)
My absolutely Queensryche's fave! One of its kind. Wow, 1986, I was there and it still sends shivers down my spine: I'm gonna get close to you Oh-Oh so close to you I'm gonna get close to you Oh so close
As Chris DeGarmo said -Looking back, it was a mistake to only make one video for Rage For Order, and I agree 100%. They had to many awsome songs on RFO to only make one video. Would´ve been sick to see videos for Neue Regel or Screaming in digital;)
Their pop transformation started with Rage for order (which is still excellent). With operation mind crime they pulled off something amazing. An accessible album with a pop heart, but presented as sophisticated concept prog metal (kind of classier and polished iron maiden). You can do this trick only once in a lifetime, though. After that the direction was downwards.

@@pilotamurorei They're both different in their own ways. In terms of experimentation and "progressiveness", R4O reigns. In terms of catchy, sad, and beautiful melodies, Mindcrime was way better.
Never heardthis version before, I like it but it does miss the darker aspect of the sound that Lisa had. Of course, I don't expect a direct copy or anything. I do like it.
I agree this is better than the original (and the original isn't bad by any stretch). But I found literally every cover done by Chris Cornell to be better than the original (but I also view him as one of the best musicians of my lifetime).
Queensryche on his best till they kickt there singer / songwriter in the back and the band have lost. Geoff Tate is still one of the best singer and songwriter in the world. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Not realy True.... Its the Magic between Geoff Tate & Chris deGarmo what was lost when Tate left .... eeuhhh like Lennon&McCartney or Jagger/Richards thing Ya know ...
OK..now I get it....!!! lol...he finally gets "close to "her" and she suddenly got demon eyes..red...then he shuts the Door and she's looking at him! and he's freaked out!
@grendizerr I think you will find that without Rush, DT would never have existed. DT are so much more like Rush than Queensryche. Plus DT relesed their first EP as 'Majesty' in 1985 which was one year before RFO came out :) Sorry
Very good cover of a brilliant song, but I prefer the original. I must confess that the guitar and the drums are played better by Queensryche than in the original, but Lisa's voice and mood are unbeatable on this song.
Yeah, this sounds so monotonous in comparison, and kind of annoying . The original version makes you feel tense 😬 Then relaxed during the chorus. Such a strange song that shouldn’t work at all - yet is definitely within my favourites of all time . Incidentally, the guitar solo was puncher, and cut through the sound more on the original . Almost like it came out of nowhere - love that.. but not this
If you’re gonna remake a song, um... don’t copy it 90%. Inflections and personal traits of the one you’re copying from shouldn’t be adopted - do your own thing. Oh, and don’t copy their video either.

It still sounds like pop.
Totally agree. Epic prog pop. And this album was years ahead of it's time.
It sounds exactly like the original
Does anyone know the name of that girl?
@@duncan3998 Dalbello was the name of the girl who originally sang this song.
From their best Album ever.
Masterpiece 💿🍾

A killer cover my opinion this was the first progresive metal album
I LOVED this song in 1986, loved it.
Still loving it 2020 🤘
me too, man!

Dalbello and Mick Ronson made an absolute classic.
what a great cover!!! You can feel the Metal and Pop conflict in the band.... so surreal! Happy this was a vid!!!!
The guitar solo in this song is tight!
At the time, Geoff Tate and Lisa Dal Bello looked remarkably similar.
Also very much like Lana pelay !!! Lollo
Vaya discazo se pelea con cualquier clásico de la época, y este tema... Piel de gallina
absolute crazy cover song, beautiful
The great old 80,s certainly better than 2020 the year of death
Gated snare at its finest
goosebumps everytime i play this

QUEENSRYCHE SOUND MAJESTICAL AND IMMENSE IN THIS RENDERING!
They are reasonably good
Sometimes Geoff emulate Prince making a duet with David Bowie. Sinister and beauty. I love this album.
Great cover. Awesome guitars. Cool video.
Great comment.
S. man, right, man!
hell yea one of my favs!!!
One of the best songs of GEOFF`sRYCHE \m/
And its a COVER...
It's a cover. The original is from Dalbello
Looooove this song
Fantastic song and still unique.

The Guitars... Crazy Guitars
I adore this fuckin' great track, since I heard it first time, long time ago!
Damn
Hearing it after 28 years
@carl13220 you're right! without Queensrÿche, Dream Theater would not ever existed!
In some way it is indeed a part of the truth. But I think Rush had a much greater Impact on then than ANY other Band
Very very good cover.
Their best song
Good cover of the Dalbello classic..
LEGEND
Great cover🥰🥰🥰
the perfect rock song
GREAT 💖
Saw this video on the Monsters of Rock cable TV show with Mick Wall late 86/early 87, and subsequently bought Rage for Order.
awesome.
Chris de Garmo What a guitarist!
Great cover

Such a great song.. Then the REAL Queensryche came alive with OM
Bullshit. RfO is the best album in the discography.
The first 3 albums and the debut ep are pure perfection

Love the twist he was no vampire just a stalker - but are the rest of the guys in the band stalkers too cos that shit looked organised 😂
More than gang-stalking, It seems to me that the guys were "minions" of the vampire lady

Thanks for not making this available in my country
