    Wow he looks great. Big upgrade from John Simpson. Simpson really hurt us in crucial moments

      @StephenGreen-bc4pc this is what I was gonna say. I'm sure Simpson looked good in college also.

    Great content! He reminds me of Ben Powers and his flexibility on the line is intriguing, I can't wait to see him during the preseason.

    Ronnie Stanley injury alert. That block at 4:50 in the film would shred Stanley.

    How do you like him compared to John Simpson ? I think hes way more fundamentally sound and discipline as far as penalties

    Could be a DeCosta steal from last year's draft. Lot's of upside for this pick.

    I live in Indiana and I'm going to watch the combine. I'm debating going to watch the relievers or the offensive line since that's what I feel like we will go with early in the draft

    First, I love your content GWNR😂. Second re: age. I don't concern myself with age when it comes to OL bc OLmen seem to have a longer shelf life in the NFl especially if they're really good/special.

      Good point - I just find it limits physical growth - how much stronger and faster can a 24-25 year old get

    He is the reason I have not been in full panic mode with our O line. Kid is a mauler, good at pass/ zone blocking and in the run game . He will fill the OG or OT if need be with no problems imo.

    We get our line in shape like we need and it'll be dangerous..when lamar has time he makes big plays easy instead of him having to take off..

    Thanks for this breakdown, Cole. Enlightening as always.
    Here's a follow up question for you to consider: Do you think there is merit to my suspicion the Ravens are planning on running more inside zone and less power gap in 2024? I say this because Vorhees and Linderbaum both excelled in a ZBS in college (the latter coming from the cradle of zone blocking with Ferentz at Iowa). Harbaugh has hinted at a new vision and focus on the OL the bring in, so it seems like a scheme shift may be in order along with personnel retooling. Downhill Gus appears to be gone, whereas Hill and Mitchel would seem to be better read and cut backs. Monken loves to get guys in space and a mobile QB running the ball off it it, too. It could even open up more RPO possibilities. New hire assistant OL coach Wharton was a zone guy in DC under Bieniemy last year.
    You think there is any merit to this being the direction they move towards? If so, any thoughts on OL draft prospects who may be more athletic, less mauler types, who would fit an updated scheme?

      @RoadGradersFB  7 месяцев назад +1

      Absolutely Steve. Todd Monken runs a multiple scheme (tbh most do - for example, Greg Roman was a gap-dominat play caller but he still had zone concepts), but his preference is zone. I think he wants to be athletic, physical and have the ability to run zone and call 5 man protection / empty protections in pass pro.

    In the second clip, Vorhees throws his man into the back of the legs of the LT, #74. And that's the last we see of #74. After that, #70 is playing LT.
    I hope Ronnie sees this video.
