  • with David Hyman, professional Israeli tour guide. Kfar (Village) Cana is overlooked by many travelers, who often drive through this town on their way to Nazareth, without knowing what is hidden in the narrow alleys of the ancient village. Located about 5 KM north of Nazareth, and very close to the ancient trade route of Netofa, Cana was probably an important and central Jewish village back in the 1st century. Only Jhon's Gospel ( Chapter 2) has recorded the events of the wedding at Cana, where Jesus performs his first miracle, changing water to wine during the wedding. Two churches commemorate this event and our tour today will be to the one that was built on the ruins of an ancient synagogue from the 4th century CE.
The church was built in the Europen - Austrian style, with 2 bell towers one on each side of the entrace, and the Apse sits on what was probably an older church from the Byzantine period. During the excavations, a Mosaic floor was revealed with an Aramaic inscription, which is actually a plack thanking the donors who sponsored the mosaic floor. therefore it is believed that the place served as a public house, and maybe a synagogue. In the crypt you can find a very large stone jar , reminding the visitors that the water used during the miracel was kept in a similar vessel.
Kfar Cana's main street has many local eateries to enjoy with great fruit, sweets, baked goods and Shwarma.
Sprcial thanks to Hamdan who showed me around the renovated spring plaza and to Abu-Mahmoud from Al-Halal restaurant who hosted me with a warm cup of lentil soup.

I LOVE Israel…I am a born again Christian…And one of the 1st things I realized (in my spirit) was I was grafted into God’s plan… There is SO much to realize in God’s wonderful plan for ALL His people…I just finished reading a VERY interesting book (The Uniqueness OF Israel) By Lance Lambert…
Thank you for sharing your videos on the ground…Where the action took place…Blessings to you…I can smell the dust and LOVE the rocks and landscapes…Truly Wonderful ♥️📜📖

Hi David. We went to Israel and to this church in town of Cana. We came with tour guide cecelia, and our parish priest, Fr. Alex, and we were told unfortunately, because our prior marriages had not been annulled, even though we got married at the justice of the peace in a courthouse wedding, we did not get our marriage renewal, but they did a special prayer for us inside the chapel there with our group of 40 pilgrims. It was quite emotional, but unfortunately we have not followed through yet on getting our marriage is annulled because there are some roadblocks. But anyway, I recognize all this footage that you did and it brings back Great memories. Thank you. I would so love to come back to Israel and see all the same things and I think lots more wood stick even further in my memory banks. But it’s so helpful to watch a Videos to refresh my memory.

This is my most sacred place and I ask for protection over my documents, online accounts, family legal papers. Keep the enemy away from my personal government documents amen. My money is my money guard my money to stay close to me and me only. Blind the eyes of thieves from taking what is mine. Silent the mouths of manipulators. I am the one now and forever. Bless me to lifted up above others. Bless my ring to be beautiful with a heart diamond.

John 2:4 is wrongly translated non-literally….makes Christ look rude….and is sadly amiss in virtually every major and minor translation. And Mary hears a yes from Jesus about the wine shortage at Cana but in most translations He is saying no. Except in Young’s Literal and in the Latin Vulgate which keeps the literal also. Mary feared Jesus getting arrested if He miraculously produced wine but her empathy for the couple came first. But Jesus sensed the fear in her face and in her voice as she mentioned the wine shortage and he literally says a rare idiom…. “ What to me and to you, woman, my hour (to die) is not yet come.” That’s why Mary heard a yes. He read her worry….He read the room. P.S. Gynai woman was a tender term at that time in history. Watch Jesus and two angels use it toward Mary Magdalene as she weeps near the tomb of Jesus….then a little later, Jesus uses her name. But when she was weeping, Jesus and separately the two angels used woman….our equivalent would be dearest. Now rewrite Jn.2:4 again…” what to me and to you, dearest, my hour (to suffer and die) is not yet come.”…ie….of course I’ll solve this wine problem….
