Great Video Johnny! One thing I´m strugling with is, although MP allows to create custom registrations fields, its impossible to organize them in multistep registration forms for long processes (mine have 6 steps and many custom meta). My registration process includes feed a CPT for users profile that I have to show to logged in users using filtering/search. It seems to me till now the only way to build and elegant solution to achieve that is use MP only to signup/plans/payment and then redirect them to a custom multistep form build with ACF or Jet Engine, and use them to build all the multistep registering process and also the further filtering/search needed, as well as build a custom Elementor Account/Profile page to put together different version os these same forms (MP and ACF), possibly in tabs, allowing users to eventually edit their data. I´m tending to believe this is a right conclusion, the question is, as a you´re a much more experienced in membership than I am, is my conclusion oing in the right way?
Hey Alex, thoughts below (copied from my site): - I agree that you probably don’t need to have all steps before checkout as that probably hurts conversions. The only things you should ask are things that directly affect pricing. And even then, you should setup your pricing simple enough that it doesn’t need a custom form to determine. Then after they buy, redirect them to multi-step process. - If you STILL want a multi-step process, I would recommend using advanced form plugins like Fluent Forms PRO and set that up to pay and pipe into your MemberPress data. - For custom account pages, don’t use Elementor. There are much easier ways to do it with only Gutenberg. Haha.
hi Johnny, can you make a video about which are your favorite (free/premium) appointment/calendar plugins? Or what services are you using for that task? thanks
I am looking for a feature where user will be able to signup and complete their extended BuddyPress profile. but they will not show up as a member before admin approval. any plugin or code snippet? note: BuddyPress Registration Options plugin is working but it's making my approved member visibility to member-only. but I need approved member profile visibility to the public. Help please
@@WPJohnny After digging in a bit, UM is a different animal when compared to MP and RCP. UM is more about building a community vs membership site (MP, RCP).
What do you think about Paid Memberships Pro? I found your videos because of your LiteSpeed tutorials and my website runs PeepSo which suggested LiteSpeed and has an integration with Paid Memberships Pro. My website, as it is for members, uses MemberPress + BuddyPress, but it seems archaic.
@@ryansmith5398 I can't remember off the top of my head but the old versions were really clunky and poor UI, annoying modular pricing. But either way...if you like it, keep it.

Thank you for recommending MemberPress to me! it's been working great!
Thanks, Gabe. Glad you like it man!

Curious, have you ever looked at Ultimate Member (UM)? I'm considering making the change from UM to MemberPress.
I don't like UM. The best are either MP or RCP. That's it.

@@gieselman Perhaps, so. Let me know how you like it. The last time I tried UM was a while ago.
Thanks for the video, out of all the websites you mentioned- which would would you say is the best one to use ?
I like MemberPress. But Restrict Content Pro is the other "best one".
Memberpress has an error with paypal. If you do not complete the purchase, it automatically registers you. can you fix this?
I hate that issue, too. Have you tried single page checkout? I think it would help to lessen that issue.

I hate PMP.
@@WPJohnny Do you mind going into what makes you hate PMP?
