This is just my opinion. This book is full of all the cute images shes known for that we all love to color. My problem is that We've seen it before. The houses, mushrooms, floating islands, circles of flowers, butterflies, birds, keys, fish, boats, deserts & fruit, etc may sound like alot to color but these items saturate the coloring book market. In all this world aren't there other things to color? Does anyone want to color anything else? I get why artist want to stick with the images that have made them popular, but is that all we can expect? Theyve perfected their subjects & styles. They are all wonderful & talented & i hope to see many more new books from them. I just wish there were other things to color, in everyone's books. I did see a few dinosaurs, foxes, turtles & frogs, & a space page that were different. Also, Kirby's books are not really my style, but I have the new one & the endangered animals books. But I can see why you color in them so much. And somehow you make the scariest of monsters & creepy scenes into something beautiful that look so amazing!! It would be so great to see these popular artists bring some totally new subject matter to life in their well loved styles. Thank u!
I was a little disappointed in Johannas’ book because it was mainly smaller versions from her other books. I like the idea of smaller images that don’t need a lot of time to complete and also to try out techniques and colour schemes but I would rather use a cheaper book for that purpose. However, it must be difficult for popular artists with their own special style and presentation to keep things fresh but retain the elements that make them popular. There are different subjects out there - I browse Amazon quite often and have found a range of subjects and styles, though sometimes the paper quality lets them down. I would like to see Johanna coming out of her comfort zone for her next book and tackling something different. With this latest book there was a feeling she was running out of inspiration. People obviously like her and her books and will buy them regardless but I think we deserve to see something ‘new’ from her.
You got what I was saying 100%. It wasnt a criticism of the artwork in this book. I just thought it was a compilation of her previous books & Im looking for something new.I scan the books on amazon quite a bit looking for something fresh but weeding through all the fairies, tiny homes, garden gnomes & things in jars to find a new book NOT on amazon paper is quite a challenge. I will continue to buy her books too & the other popular names but I would love to see the work of some new artists! Thanks for the reply!
If you're looking for books that kind of innovates and doesn't have repetitive images in it I'd recommend the Meine Reise Durch books by Rita Berman. There's a lot of scenery/objects/animals and other stuff in them that other books don't have. As for the quality of the paper in the books I can't actually say anything about it yet because the book of her's that I've ordered hasn't arrived yet but I don't think I heard anyone complaining about it so I don't think the paper is bad. I'm new to coloring overall, I just started coloring on Johanna books. So far I have World of Flowers, Secret Garden and World of Wonders. Since I'm just a beginner, I'm not sure I can relate with you completely about getting sick/bored of a recurrent element in coloring books but I do understand wanting to color something new. This is something I noticed when I watch flip through videos and a lot of them do have the same things, like flowers, leafs, cute things, etc. I'd definitely love to see Johanna do something else, and maybe she herself can influence other artists to try new things too by innovating in her future works
I really enjoy your channel, Karen and love your colour selections and presentations. I just received my Small Victories book today from Amazon Canada and my publishing page is centred and isn't cut off at the edges. You are such a talented artist and so generous to share your knowledge with the colouring community. Many thanks! Gramma Cory :)
Would love to see a color along from this delightful little book. I’d enjoy any page but really liking the fish with house on its back or the house inside the wave. 3rd choice would be the tea pot with 2 cups. Thank you Karen!
Thanks for showing! I'd love to see a colour along of the teapot and cups - see-through like you said - but anything you choose would be lovely, really. Happy colouring!
I just received my book today and I think my neighbours all heard my shriek of delight when I opened it!! I love smaller pages as they're less daunting and there's more scope for trying out different combos without ruining a whole page. I'd love a colour along! Any page would be great 😊😊
I wasn’t so sure about smaller images at first as I’m usually drawn to big, intricate pages. But I love the idea of quick and easy, I haven’t had much colouring time lately and I think this book would be so easy for people to complete. Very exciting 🤗
I bought this book before even seeing a full flip through. I don't always feel like or have the time to color a giant page, so these small designs are perfect. I already colored 5 items since got it yesterday. I love this book already. Maybe a color along with the tea cups page and/or the ice cream sundae?
I would love to see a color along and any page you decide to choose would be greatly appreciated! You are so inspirational to me and I have learned so very much from you thus far. Keep up the amazing content and looking forward to whatever you decide. Thank you for everything and have a lovely weekend!🎨💕
Lovely book thank you for the flip through would be great if Johanna did a dessert themed book I always enjoy colouring the cake & dessert illustrations she puts in her books 😊💕
Ooh I’m not sure how I feel about that one haha food is one of my least favourite things to colour 😅 But if it’s toadstools, flowers or water then I’m in haha
It seems good choice for nights when you dont have sleep and you are too tired to colour big books :) Not too big and no too small pictures - just perfect to colour for some minutes and then have another try to go to sleep 👍
Hi Karen! Beautiful Flip Through! The page next to the Introduction page in my book is not cut off, like it is in Your Book.🤔 I'm hoping this book doesn't fall apart, like most all of my other books. Fingers Crossed 🤞
Hi Karen! I have just finished a picture in Small Victories, the paper is Absolutely Wonderful! Yes, I think that's correct, I have watched other channels and it appears to be the UK edition, but it's Still Beautiful! Happy Coloring!💜😊
I would enjoy a color along, maybe the space page or the whale page. It’s a fun books and for the most part, the size is good. I wish there were less florals to allow for other images like the dragons, dinosaurs and space items.
I was scared that I wouldn't like such tiny spots to color, but I do love that the book has smaller designs. I don't want to spend hours on each piece, I think this book will help with that.
Yeah when it was first announced I was worried the images would be too small. There are some parts that are a bit tiny. But I’m having so much fun completing the pages as it’s not taking me days haha
@@MyColourfulCountryLife Yeap love the little dogs and dragons and the space page really a surprise💜I'll be a little late for the color along with Johanna but I'll enjoy it the same plus I'm sure your videos will be a fantastic inspiration 💜
I checked other videos, it's throughout the UK, those have that page running off the edge. Not in any USA edition. Odd. Yes, USA also is sewn and glued binding
There are a couple that are very close but with the sewn binding the book will sit flat so it shouldn’t be an issue. I’ve got a video on breaking in the spine to flatten your book that can help 🤗
Thank you for the flip through. It seems Johanna and Hanna decided going smaller in their books. This one is not my cup of tea. I don’t see anything she hasn’t done before .
Honestly, I like Johanna's books a lot and I have every single one, but this one is just perfect! I love every single page and am really enjoying it!
Absolutely, *Lauren Jones!*
I’m dying to get started. Looking forward to completing some quick little pictures 😁

I would love for her to have a book dedicated to Fall or the seasons.

Yeah I think it might be a UK edition thing. The US one seems fine. Being that it’s sewn bound it should stay together pretty well 🥰
Hi Karen! I have just finished a picture in Small Victories, the paper is Absolutely Wonderful! Yes, I think that's correct, I have watched other channels and it appears to be the UK edition, but it's Still Beautiful! Happy Coloring!💜😊
I have just ordered this book, arriving tomorrow 11th Jan 24.
Hope you’re enjoying your new book 📚😁
Thanks for the review, Yes, I would love a color along! How about the teacup set page? Or one of the larger floral pages?
Ooh let me go check them out ❤️
I would enjoy a color along, maybe the space page or the whale page. It’s a fun books and for the most part, the size is good. I wish there were less florals to allow for other images like the dragons, dinosaurs and space items.
Would like to learn more about doing underwater and the feathers maybe even some help with the animals.
Awesome, thanks Melanie 😁
Absolute perfection!! ❤

It's $19 at Big W in Australia
Ooh great price!
Excellent book review!!!
Thank you so much 🤗
I'm just concerned about the pictures being so close to the binding edge. Hopefully it won't make it too difficult to colour.
Me, 2 personally, *Lisa & My Colourful Country Life.*
The binding is sewn and easily lies flat. At least mine does.
thank you @@carollang6090

I’d like to see a different Christmas book
I’d love to see a reworked Lost Ocean. Underwater Worlds 🐠 🌊
Thank you for the flip through. It seems Johanna and Hanna decided going smaller in their books. This one is not my cup of tea. I don’t see anything she hasn’t done before .
there is a dinosaur in Rooms of Wonder
Oh yeah! I forgot about that, I’ve even coloured it 😂
There is a small dinosaur in rooms of wonder
Yes someone else reminded me of this… and I even coloured it haha
