I figured that much since you had an exclamation mark at the end of your original message!! I’m just reflecting on what Travis and I went through at our previous employment and all the safety meetings we had to endure and I certainly don’t miss it. Common sense goes a long way.
Cool find! As an old truck nut, the first thing I would change is those Mack camel back rear ends. It's got an aluminum frame so a cutoff wouldn't work but a nice Pete air ride would bolt on. Next, I'd get to engineering a way to tilt the cab, since they didn't tilt from the factory. Drop a 6NZ with an 18 speed and sell it. Let the next guy drain his bank account!
Bro I've been around and driven trucks all my life and seeing this truck is a first for me I don't recall ever seeing one .but there you go that old girl is rare so you really should restore her to a top notch condition I mean really make her real pretty heck she deserves it .she's had to fight off weeds the elements and worst of all every vehicle's enemy rust so please take real good care of this old girl 👧.
We do plan to do a complete on this one, may not be to original specs but it will be an upgrade from what it is at this point. There aren’t to many of these day cab bullnose Kenworths that I have seen so I’m pretty excited for sure. Thanks for watching
It would be nice to make it an over the road truck with twin stacks and twin breathers behind cab a drone box or a short flat deck keeping the old school look
Old Harold would be cool to shorten enough to make it into a single axle air ride with a 36 inch bunk. He looks like he has most of his original sheet metal except for the air cleaner hat that goes on the right front ahead of the right windshield.
Pretty sure he does have all the original sheet metal but as far as the air cleaner hat this truck did not originally have one. I was told that the lower horse power bullnose Kenworth trucks did not have the hat, only the higher horse power trucks had the air cleaner hat. That’s one way you could tell the horsepower
Bullnose series production began in 1949 and continued through 1956. This overlapped with its replacement the "CBE" series (1953-'57) due to continued customer demand for the Bullnose.
There is a title place that I’m working with on one of the other trucks we have on the channel since the truck is from out of state but not sure how it’s going to go with this truck being as old as it is.
I wonder if there's ever been a sleeper bonose. Ever done as a show project? I think it would look pretty sick with a Peter bill flat top sleeper. Or a cough thing sleeper, add it to it. If it was mine I would. Do that as a restoration project. Those kW's are too rare.
I have seen Bullnose Kenworths with a sleeper but it was integrated into the cab, not separate. I do think that the day cabs are the rarer version nowadays but way back when they were more common.
We do plan to restore this one, would like to keep it too in my personal collection but we will see what happens. Depends on if someone wants it worse than I do when we get it done
@@CLGaragemone is a 1971 gw9000 day cab cabover my father bought 3 of them in the late 70s only one i liked as a kid is still here in my back yard lol love show pics but cant do that on RUclips
Well Harold looks much better now. And you can move him with the fork truck. Always a plus. Be neat to see what you do with him. Stay cool
Thanks for watching, we plan to get this truck back on the road and living the good life going to shows and cruising the streets
Right up your ally @Murphys diesel. A one of a kind also. Don’t take no gruff from anybody 😳
How cool would that look with a Kenworth aero 1 sleeper on it
OSHA would be in complete cardiac arrest watching you guys riding that fork lift!
Probably so but we have fun doing what we do!!
OSHA has no authority over him.
Amen to that, plan to keep it that way as long as we can too
@@CLGarage I meant my comment in a joking manner....not to be taken seriously.

Even doing the things you listed would be cool enough to just drive it as is, but definitely agree
Top demais esses keniwort antigos . Muito bom seu vídeo.

Cool.truck

Ooo, that would look good. It’s got the length to be able to do it for sure!!

Right on, I still need to call a dealer and have them verify the vin and then I will have to up date everyone!!
Heck put a pickup bed on her and use her for towing a big camper.
Hellow guys good luck
Luck and a bit of time to get this one back on the road but the truck deserves another chance if you ask me. Thanks for the support
Harold looks a good deal more handsome after getting his ears lowered.
Totally agree
What a improvement! How do you go about getting a tittle for this in the State of Illinois?
There is a title place that I’m working with on one of the other trucks we have on the channel since the truck is from out of state but not sure how it’s going to go with this truck being as old as it is.
I think that car hauler's days of hauling cars are long over. Off with what's left of the car hauler body!
It was very satisfying to remove those old pieces and see the truck as it truly should be
Nice bullnose kw
Thank you!!
The kenworth bullnose 523 was built from 1946 _1955
Ok, well now that it’s narrowed down closer I’ll have to call the Kenworth dealer to see what the actual year is.

@CLGarage Do you plan on restoring it
We do plan to restore this one, would like to keep it too in my personal collection but we will see what happens. Depends on if someone wants it worse than I do when we get it done
@CLGarage Does it have the old 180 supercharged Cummins
I believe it’s a 290 turbo charged Cummins
Electric truck? Like from @Edison Motors?😊
Seems to be the way many are trying to go for sure with the electric. Would make a one of one ever built too!!
Yeah 👍
1958 was the last year Kenworth made the bullnose
That seems to be the right year that they quite making them.
Heck if your gonna put twin stacks on her make them eight inch
I prefer to do duel exhaust but it originally had the single with the right cab corner cut out. So it will be a challenge either way
New you put.
A new round in your rear end on it.I'm Caterpillar engine in it.Fix it up
Yes sir!! This truck is so worth saving for one being a Bullnose but also being a day cab Bullnose which I feel is more rare
Why do you never see ford cabovers are they that rare or something
I’ve been seeing more of them surface but maybe people that own them like them so much they don’t want to get ride of them. I like the way they look!!
