Tara Strong is a great singer. Why doesn't she sing as Twilight? Rebecca Shoichet does a great job, but it would be cool to see her sing like this on MLP.
Tara doesn't sing as Twilight because it would be awkward to record as she is in Los Angeles and the rest record everything in Canada (Toronto to be exact I believe) Tara herself has said that she would like to sing as Twilight but she doesn't like to leave her kids for long periods of time, and it would be really difficult to record in two different locations, so blame California for being too far away from Canada
