What’s amazing is some people can look at these old structures and could care less about the past civilization.
It’s going to take a miracle if mankind survives this reset in progress. The old civilization was obviously intelligent and got wiped out.
You are right that past civilizations were more advanced. We are at the iron and miry clay feet of the "Statue of Stone" described in the Book of Daniel. Mankind has reached the "end of the line" in this world.
as will every civilization until it stops being a world view run by the bankers & We start Being Humane again in Truth.
Thank you for doing Scranton, and thank you for using some of my pictures. Really enjoyed seeing what you dug up, verse what I found.
Thanks for your contribution....glad you enjoyed it!
@@oldworldex you're very welcome! I love that you're taking on some of the smaller less recognized cities.
Watching all the buildings get torn down is sickening...
Home of the Friendless - 😊
Hilarious
It was just yesterday I watched a ghost investigation at a Ohio (i think) Prison where the guide said;
Prisoners built this section of the Prison
as she stood near the perfect masonry. 😮
I wish more people had critical thinking skills.
Why were the Prisons built like castles ? What do we build nowadays?
Unlike Andy Dufrain (Shawshank) I was actually in that prison. But just like Andy Dufrain I have swam through a river of sh!t only to come out clean on the other end.
I look for a new post from you every day. I have been with you since your first videos and it’s cool to see the channel grow. After watching Scranton I would love for you to do more on small towns. It’s as fascinating as the large cities. With your narrative, buildings and the census. Keep exposing any city that is worthy.
Scranton has an urban population of over 500,000 people and the larger NEPA area has over 1.3 million residents. It is by no means a small city.
Cool,
I believe I was referring to Scranton as a small town/city during that time era.
@@brian-te4xs it was always a pretty big city. Pittston, Wilkes-Barre, and Carbondale were all very densely populated by the time that part of the city was built, and it had an immediate boom due to the railroads and iron mills.
I love seeing all the old buildings. I never liked seeing them torn down, even as a child I thought they were beautiful.
Well done. Please take me back in time!
watching what i first thought was a wholesome video of a guy who enjoys historic architecture slowly divulge into schizophrenic rambling about a hidden mythological civilization was kind of hilarious. Thanks for making my day.
Glad you enjoyed it!
kxi529 You need to open your eyes and your mind !!! Maybe you can learn something new or just be a dick !!!!
Great video, as always.

Lets Go Brandon!!!
Catching up on some of your recent videos. Always really good content and narration Chris.
Thanks Mark I appreciate it..
Great journey, thank you. I also agree with your hypothesis. You should cover the senseless destruction of the Jessup PA area dams and pump houses, very close to Scranton. Similar construction and look, would have lasted another 100yrs until some conservancy conserved history right out of existence. 🤔
Wow and thank you.
Not sure about the circuit board theory - but - The thing I found interesting about Scranton is that when they were building it up... They brought in architects from all over the world. So there's all different styles of architecture in various buildings. Growing up there in the 80's-90's.... I never really appreciated it until I got older. I would walk past the Raddison Hotel and the Iron Furnaces almost every day and could see it (Radisson) from my house. Which... was a small old coal miners residence. I was probably one of the very few kids born in the 80's that had to shovel coal into the furnace to heat the place.
(I'm surprised you didn't highlight the Raddison Hotel. Check out the history of the Raddison when you have a chance- I'd love to see a modern video done on the hotel. It was an extremely important building since it doubled as a train station and is made of limestone/marble.. etc. It was how people traveled to Scranton before coal became obsolete.)
Scranton has such a bad reputation (some justified) but it truly is a shame because of how absolutely beautiful the city/town is. I hate seeing any historical building in Scranton being demolished.
What a trip down memory lane this video was for me. It's wild that a lot of the photos you were showing were very old and yet I still remember these places looking the same in the 90's and even still to this day.
Thank you for doing this short retrospective on Scranton PA. Always cool to see.
You should check into wilks Barre pa. Look at Kings College
Really enjoyed the recent Jon Butler / Grundy courthouse episode. Definitely going to order the book.
Good ole "Joe from Scranton". Thanks for sharing the better aspects of Scranton. 🙏❤️

You know the thing !
@@Kat.EvangelineI refer to him as "JOkE BRIBED'IM". 😁
No one there likes him. Trust
I don't know if anyone mentioned that the Albright Library is not a part of Lackawanna College. It is across the street from Lackawanna College, which used to be Scranton Central High School several years ago. Thanks for posting.
Another great one !
Thank you! Cheers!
@@oldworldex Cheers mate !
Coney Island Texas Weiners, a landmark that has been in business for over 100yrs. The best place in the world to get a hotdog.
Canal construction is a head scratcher !
My great uncle jack gaughan was manager of the armory. My uncle tom durkin would stay at hotel jermyn when he came back to visit in the 70s. They proofed him at the bar and he was in his fortys
hello sir great video!... at 17:21 if you pause the video and look at the arch way......really look at the arch and inside the arch..... the arch is definitely made of red bricks but when you look at the inside of the arch it has that "stone" look.....I think the arch is entirely red brick and they used some type of fake stone concrete...... geo-polymer.....whatever you want to call it and coated the bricks making it look like stone.....there are many spots in this video where it appears that there are random bits of stone over top of bricks etc and not where it was built over but where it looks like the rest of the "fake stone" wall covering has broken away leaving small bits that look like stone blocks on covering bricks...... It really looks to me like they use alot of different ways to cover brick structures ..... imo to hide the sheer size and immense nature of these buildings........ this video has lots of spots where it looks like it was damaged and people just jammed any rocks etc to fill holes so that makes it tougher to figure out too
In the words of the Great hecklefish,...ooooh LIZZID PEEPLE!😅
Magnetron windows. For electricity/electrical generation. Look up magnetrons, everybody thinks it is cymatic patterns but it's been pointed out to me and others and is very obvious once you see and research magnetrons
Nice Tartar sauce with my saturday lunch. 👍
Nicely done.
Also York, Marietta, Columbia, and Lancaster are all covered in old architecture. I have hundreds of pics, so much to see lol
I love that they renamed the Scranton Express way to the Biden Express way in 2020 Now there are a lots of rumors they way to change it back! Cool city been there several times. Thanks
They kinda jumped the gun on that one. Haha! What an embarrassing disaster.
that building with the cool roof is called finch towers both were supposedly originally built for the hudson mining company international correspondence school
Great video once again, but what/why the collage of reptilians at the beginning?? I dont understand??
Scranton produced the current sitting pResident..
Love the Biden clips! 😂
Fake history, fake president, fake authority. Great show…Scranton has some impressive structures. Wow.
Last photo is a demolition photo, not a construction photo!
True...I thought about correcting that but figured I'd get some help so I left it the way it is.
Another great post proving that we have many centuries of vast human intellect and skill all around us but no longer with us. There is nothing new under the sun. Just look at the automobiles from the 1940's and 50's compared to today's. Does anyone here really believe that anyone is going to care to even put a restored 2023 auto in a museum a hundred years from now? We keep asking ourselves how they did this rather than asking ourselves why we can't do this today.
Oh wow. The ties to the Office series…which had a TON of predictive programing/exposed truths including Simpsons symbolism everywhere!
This makes so much sense…
The Scranton Luna Park has an extensive Wikipedia write up. I’m not sure of the validity of it all, but it worth reading for the bizarre occurrences that are said to have occurred here
Ok, I think I may have one for you that you haven’t done yet. Kingston, Ontario?
It’s a honey hole for old world architecture and it has a star fort
You read my mind....I was just looking at Kingston before reading this. I do a Canuckleheads broadcast with a fellow Canadian. We're taking a look at Brandon Manitoba tomorrow. My plan is to propose Kingston for the next one.
@@oldworldex Finally I suggested one you haven’t done! Haha
But it was on your radar. That’s a trip. Looking forward to it.
I deeply appreciate the shoutout… “Castle” is now available all throughout the realm. Read it and weep controllers!
Amazing little town, sure crammed a gigaton of bricks in it😊 Maybe Pittsburg is on your to do list, Pittsburg, Kansas that is? It and Emporia, KS appear to have been college central as I literally lost count of them in 1800s haha
The Sagrada Família has been under construction for 140 years!, with work beginning as early as 1882. It is now in its final stages and is expected to be fully completed by 2030 or 2032.
Some of the buildings in your videos are close / similar in terms of the difficulty of their construction. But the construction period was probably not 140 years 😅
Please consider some lofi/chillhop for the main body of the soundtrack.
The piano intro/outtro is beautiful!
The more complex/intense classical stuff is great too, but the richness of the music detracts from the fascinating imagery, your interesting commentary, and the deductive thought process required to fathom these HUGE historical implications. Just my 2¢ though.
Mostly- thank you for compiling and researching all this. I don’t mean to be a negative critic at all! Your style of photo presentation and avoidance of speculation or dogma is refreshing. Objectivity is key and you seem to have it!
WIll root around..thanks for the suggestion.
and some Metallica stuff for the mystery destruction scenes!👍👍
Mater of Puppets? Metallica would be all over the copyright!!!@@nocensors
Joe shold relocate to the friendless home asap!🤣
Is there any old world architecture in nevada? I know there is a city called Virginia city that has some old world looking buildings but im not sure
Very interesting…I have to revisit your thesis. Regards Scranton, and the corridor of Route 81, a lot was accomplished with chattel slavery, indentured servants, and, later, destitute European migrants driven hard after the civil war by so-called “coal and iron” police. I’ll go back and look at this with new eyes. Thank you.
What is the building on the left at 54 seconds? please
That's the Chicago skyline. Pretty sure it's the Tribune building. I did a live exploration on those.. ruclips.net/video/icPqqKmFiRA/видео.html
Nice! Ty
Jesuit town! Oh yes, the Jesuits are more influential than most would believe
😮WOW!!!!
A little too soon to add my own speculation as to exactly what happened, but we've definitely been thru one or more major [possibly manmade] heat events.
It’s called Weather. Common core, huh ?
I hope someone starts a boots in the basement show damn soon, tired of photos slapping me in the face.tunnels everywhere...
With the open I'm assuming you'll make a connection of lying past with our lying politicians😊 lets roll the tape😊
You failed to show our beautiful landfill!
There are dozens of dams in the area with that same style of block work you pointed out. The Elmhurst dam you showed has been completely remodeled hiding alot of the blockwork but not all.
I'd also like to add that there is no part of this surrounding area that has not been touched. Trees are clear cut once they mature over and over , rock/coal and all other resources have been stripped from the surface time after time. Our trees are diseased and dieing/weeds and invasive plants have filled the gaps.
And now the new yorkers have come , officially ruining a nice place to live
The first image you show looks manipulated.
it's possible...
@@oldworldex The question is, how much of this is made up? You do the world no service in promoting fakery. I believe something did happen before the 19th century, and evidence exists, but I can't accept where you're going with this, because there's no guarantee the locations like small towns ever contained these buildings. Therefore, you should focus only on places where buildings still exist. It's an adjustment that strengthens the argument rather than weakening it.
😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Our current lizard was born and raised there

Archie Bunker used to make fun of Scraton on TV show All in the Family. Not funny anymore.
