Here's my take: it's OK to let *some* Splatoon fans have the aux. As a partial fan myself, I can appreciate some of the songs from the series, but could suddenly take a complete 180 and tell you why games like MGR or even Minecraft have some of the greatest and most ingenious soundtracks in gaming. Some Splatoon fans do have decent taste in music, just maybe a bit questionable. But all you have to do to determine if they should be in charge of the music is ask them about their opinions of this song. If they say that they genuinely like it, then you know that they should never be allowed to touch a speaker again. If they say it's not good, then just have someone with actual good taste help them choose, just to be safe.
