Dillie, thank you thank you for these genius songs. You & Randy Rainbow.....we need you & the FA girls more than ever. ‘Suddenly New Zealand’ seems even more appropriate than ever.....G & S must be smiling upon you....Stay safe & more please. Your adoring long time fans.....
Dillie, absolutely brilliant, spot on as always with all your political songs, thank you for some truth, home truths that are lacking in UK society today. I couldn't agree more with the sentiments expressed in the lyrics of this song, set to the tune of a well known Gilbert and Sullivan classic, from the pirates of Penzance.
This is excellent! I hope to see more of these videos. This kind of thing is about the only thing that makes me proud to be British at the moment. The musical style that this lady performs is a precious part of our history, and it wonderful to hear it made relevant to the current situation. I think that the previous Dominic Cummings video was an absolute barnstormer, sung with great passion and poignancy, and I hope that there will be many more in the same vain.
Thank God or whoever you choose, for an alternative view singalong that I hope we'll all pick up and chant in pubs, and everywhere. Protest has never been so musical. Well done! The truth shines.
Watching this again off the back of the DfE announcing a staggered return and mass school testing in the new year... ONE DAY BEFORE TERM ENDS! Suffice to say, I needed the chuckle. Many thanks!
Absolutely bloody brilliant, sorry for swearing, the whole shambolic system that is Westminster is a complete waste of space. Thank you Dillie for cheering me up.. can we ask to borrow the PM from New Zealand please, she has more balls that the entire Torrie party ha ha
Dear Dillie, pure joy as always and so beautifully observed. I so enjoyed working with you as a member of the LAO last year. I hope we can do it again when this crazy time is over. xxx
Wish this lady had been my teacher. A specifically british kind of wit is on display. Fellow non-brits and youngish folks: if you don't know, it's a piggy back song based on a number by Gilbert and Sullivan, who wrote comic operas. Thanks, smart lady i don't know, for bringing creativity and humor to the fight against cravenness and ignorance.
Thanks Ken, I don't think I'd have been much of a teacher. I'd have been rubbish, in fact. I'm actually a performer and writing satirical songs is my trade! I don't usually write parodies as I like to write my own music, but I occasionally allow myself to use a Gilbert & Sullivan tune as they were the masters - and they're out of copyright!
Indian here..dedicated to Grans on both sides and all the lovely teachers i have had during the entire course.....sharing some heartfelt emotions by shwring this comment.
Loved this Dillie! The Gove and Williamson photos really made me laughing! As a student, the situation has affected me hugely, so I’m pleased I could get a laugh out of it!
Dillie, I saw you and the other two lovely girls from Fascinating Aida first in Sheffield, then you alone in Chesterfield, both great shows, funny and leaving one with something to think about . You once again prove to be a witty beacon in these dark times, I wonder if you have put your brilliant mind to come up with some "chanson" about Brexit? If not, I am sure you could come up with a gem! xxx
Thank you Dilly keane that is just what I needed and yes it a bleep show that Boris Johnson is running. Every time he says it's going to be brilliant you know it will be the opposite.
Wonderful as ever, Dillie! (Mrs T also sold all the schools' kitchen equipment except the ovens - needed for reheating those delicious turkey twizzlers!) I hope you are planning an update re the return of Universities
Thanks to everyone for all the lovely comments. Much appreciated.
Excellent! Although the UK education system has been abysmal since the 70's!
@@garrett69 You take that back! It's been hideous since well before then...
Gilbert and Sullivan, Joyce Grenfell and Victoria Wood all in one! Fabulous
Brilliant. Share this far and wide.
The relish and angry conviction with which she says ‘clusterf*ck’ is to be thoroughly applauded.
I'm a teacher, so didn't have a lot to laugh about recently. This did the trick! Thanks!

Thank God or whoever you choose, for an alternative view singalong that I hope we'll all pick up and chant in pubs, and everywhere. Protest has never been so musical. Well done! The truth shines.
You are one of the few remaining sources of pride in Britain. Fer gawds sake, don't stop.
A real, brilliant lady 💐💐💐. It's a joy to listen her songs
Just spot on..you are such a tonic , and you must do some more please ...a great observer when we SO need that . Thank you
One of your best. What a sadness that it had to be written.
Dillie, your songs are a tonic to the situation in the uk at the moment. :)
Watching this again off the back of the DfE announcing a staggered return and mass school testing in the new year... ONE DAY BEFORE TERM ENDS!
Suffice to say, I needed the chuckle. Many thanks!

Don’t worry about the odd swear word. It has been shambolic throughout.

Swearing is completely justified in this instance, so don't worry

I'm only sorry it's take me this long to find this. I do love you Dillie Keane, you say (sing) it how it ought to be said.
This sums up the situation perfectly. Good luck to all teachers out there. We're going to need it.
Perfect, just perfect. Thank you. Encapsulates my feeling with a daughter embroiled in the A level result fiasco.
Loved this Dillie! The Gove and Williamson photos really made me laughing! As a student, the situation has affected me hugely, so I’m pleased I could get a laugh out of it!
