    Hello from Boston, Massachusetts. A local expression here. “Dawn broke over Marblehead.” It means when someone finally gets a joke or a concept. Marblehead, Mass which is located on the north shore of eastern Massachusetts. First place to receive daylight.

    Thank you both, keep up the good work. I could add “stronger than 10 acres of garlic”. I heard it only once, but it’s been on my head since.
    The other I’d add is “hold your horses”. I use it’s equivalent in Brazilian Portuguese all the time: “Pode tirar seu cavalinho da chuva”.

    Oh dear, not so good on my side, as we are going through some tough times with protests, curfew, constitutional crisis, food shortage and all that jazz with no end... 😢😢

    I'm currently living in south east london and I'm thinking of taking a C2 exam at some point in the future
    But before that I have to prepare for it
    So I don't know if you can help me to find a reputable college where I can do that( a subsidized one by the state would be ideal as I'm on lower income) or any other ways that are gonna help me to become fluent in English
