A Próxima Parada: Brasil

Next Stop: Brazil. Read more about my thoughts below (written from my blog) as I head into this next journey:
"As I sit here now, I find myself on the precipice yet again of something big. Countless times I have found myself in this position, yet it doesn't feel any different than the first. The overwhelming sense of anticipation for what's to come, the subtle feeling of dread for moments uncertain and perhaps stressful, and the anemoia-rich undertones for premonitions of a future-past (saduade), one where I will understand just a bit better this exotic land to which I bring myself.
I'm going to Brazil because I feel like it's time. There exists a place where many of my ethnic and cultural ambiguities should be accepted and appreciated for what they are, amongst the sea [of others] that currently dwell there. To blend in, but also to offer something unique is what I crave. I'd like to improve in the Portuguese language, and visit some of the friends I have there now.
I'd like to come back in some regards a more courageous person, and if nothing else, be capable of expressing new colors not yet available to the current me.
