You gotta watch the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary called “Deion’s Double Play” where the man tried to play in an NFL game and an MLB playoff game IN THE SAME DAY
One of the arguments as to why the USA isn’t a powerhouse at soccer is that the best, most gifted American athletes grow up playing other sports. And while obviously hypothetical, it’s not too difficult to imagine that if Deion grew up playing with a round football at his feet instead of an American football, baseball, or basketball, he would have a dominant star for the USMNT.
Most NFL players aren’t built for soccer/endurance because of there size wouldn’t be beneficial. The only positions I’d say would do well is kicker, receiver and cornerback because they are the smallest and not too bulky.
@@riccorich Soccer players don’t train for speed/explosiveness entirely, which is why most of us may be slower. That’s all football players do, short bursts of explosiveness a play doesn’t even last 10 seconds. Speed means nothing in soccer if you can’t sustain for 90 minutes a game with no stops like they have in football. Football is more physical but there’s way more rests, the average football player would be completely winded in 10-15 minutes playing a soccer game, just not used that continuous play in a big ass field.

Him & Bo Jackson were both college, NFL & MLB legends. People may not have said anything to you simply because it’s such a known thing in the States. Like knowing the sky is blue. As far as touchdowns, let’s see… 1. Kickoff return TD 2. Punt return TD 3. Pass TD 4. Run TD 5. Fumble recovery TD 6. Interception run back TD That’s all I can think of, offhand. If anyone has another, feel free to let me know. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s one or two other ways of scoring a TD that I’ve overlooked.
To clarify, I think pass TD should be receiving TD because you could throw for a TD and not actually be the one scoring. Might be confusing to someone new to American football.
ATL LEGEND. I was in high school when he played for the Falcons and the Braves. I use to love his press conferences back then. Still do. Go Coach Prime! We’re putting for you here in Georgia! Thank you for the video. What a treat.
I was so confused when at the start of the video you said he was one of the best college football players of all time.... He is one of the best athletes the world has ever seen.
Dude Bo Jackson played in the MLB and NFL also and was an even greater athlete than Deion, I'm pretty sure both of these guys have been mentioned to you before
@@Idealdeath8304 correct, but he outperformed Deon in baseball by a huge margin and arguably was at least as good (relatively) in football. He was also a pop icon (commercials, cartoons, etc.) And was generally more well known.
For a short while with the Falcons, Sanders started in the defensive backfield with Brian Jordan. Jordan was also a two-sport player. He quit football and played MLB baseball for more than a decade.
I don't know if you've already done a video on him but Jim Thorpe was an even greater athlete than Deion Sanders. He was a pro football, baseball, and basketball player as well as Olympic gold medalist in both the decathlon and pentathlon. He was freaky good at everything. I have no doubt he is the greatest athlete in American sports history.
Kick off return, punt return, straight handoff run, catch and run. Recover a fumble return it, interception and return it.Six different ways to score a touchdown
you've got to learn about Bo Jackson, who also played both leagues, never made a championship but did make the MLB allstar game and NFL pro bowl, and has plenty of legends about his feats. He also is the only player to play major league baseball after hip replacement surgery!
If you haven’t watched Joseph Vincent’s video of Bo Jackson, Super Bo… Your hurting yourself… Bo Jackson was the greatest athlete ever. He put Deion in his place multiple times…
I think if Bo Jackson would’ve played longer, I could say that he would be the greatest athlete, but he never won a Super Bowl or an MLB championship and he only played for four years. I think it’s hard to compare Deion Sanders and Bo Jackson, even though they both played football and baseball. Sanders was a two-way player in football, Bo Jackson was a running back. Sanders won two Super Bowls. eight-time Pro Bowler, nine-time All Pro.
From what I understand Dion happens to be the luckiest person in the world not based on talent just a touch by God which is sad because others deserve it
He actually has 2 sons on Colorado, the QB & his other son plays Safety & wears his # 21 !
You gotta watch the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary called “Deion’s Double Play” where the man tried to play in an NFL game and an MLB playoff game IN THE SAME DAY
One of my favorite 30 for 30’s!
Deion has 2 kids on the Colorado team. QB and a safety.

Plus soccer players would hang with the average US pro athletes, because we grew up playing multiple sports

The reaction video we’ve been anticipating! 🥳🥳
Bo Jackson is mandatory now

Run, pass, interception for a TD. Fumble recovery for a TD. Kickoff return and punt return are the 6 ways to score

Thank you for the video. What a treat.
Brings back memories, oh, yeah, I remember that!!
I was so confused when at the start of the video you said he was one of the best college football players of all time.... He is one of the best athletes the world has ever seen.
America has ever seen, he’s not worldwide known
Saying he was a baseball player is a massive overstatement he never played 100 games and was a part time starter.
Dude Bo Jackson played in the MLB and NFL also and was an even greater athlete than Deion, I'm pretty sure both of these guys have been mentioned to you before
Bo’s catch and run up the wall was one of my absolute favorite defensive plays of all time.
That man was an animal
For modern dual sport athleticism, I would rank it Bo Jackson, Deon Sanders, and then Brian Jordan. Deon was able to do it longer though.
Bo didn’t do it for long
@@Idealdeath8304 correct, but he outperformed Deon in baseball by a huge margin and arguably was at least as good (relatively) in football. He was also a pop icon (commercials, cartoons, etc.) And was generally more well known.
@@theJohnGaltLine Bo is considered a top 5-8 rb ever. Yet I have never met someone who says another corner is better than Deion
Always been a toss up who the greatest athlete of all time is, Prime Time or Bo. Deion did it for longer but it's so close I can't call it either way
Playing Multi sports is a regular thing here in America kids growing up
All 6 ways to score a TD is Run, Pass, Punt return, Kick return, Pick 6, Fumble 6.
For a short while with the Falcons, Sanders started in the defensive backfield with Brian Jordan. Jordan was also a two-sport player. He quit football and played MLB baseball for more than a decade.
You should look at the highlights from last night. Amazing
Check out Bo Jackson if you want another crazy Athlete

He is the best overall athlete ever.
He’s the best true football player ever. I was lucky enough to watch him.
Kick off return, punt return, straight handoff run, catch and run. Recover a fumble return it, interception and return it.Six different ways to score a touchdown
Deion Sanders was excellent at football but only decent at baseball. I think most people would consider Ohtani, Bo, and Thorpe better
Rushing TD
Receiving TD
Fumble recovery for a TD
Interception for a TD
Kickoff return for a TD
Punt return for a TD
deion's tds were likely run, pass, catch a pass, kick/punt return, interception return, and fumble return.
you've got to learn about Bo Jackson, who also played both leagues, never made a championship but did make the MLB allstar game and NFL pro bowl, and has plenty of legends about his feats. He also is the only player to play major league baseball after hip replacement surgery!
Because Bo Know Football and Baseball

Check out Wilt Chamberlain The most athletic giant ever
Ohtani would be Josh Allen
Bo knows.
That's why Americans are the best athletes on the planet
No, Deion never was on a world series winner.
He wasn't that great it was just because of his personality come on y'all
Deion had a lot of glitz & glamour but he was also pretty good.
