I’m the indie songwriter behind songs by Kelly Clarkson, Kesha, Ingrid Andress, Sturgill Simpson, Ronnie Dunn, Ashley Monroe, Miranda Lambert, Madi Diaz, Wrabel & more. I love singing & writing especially intense, nonfiction lyrics. . . So, that’s what this new single is all about, and it’s a sad song in disguise: pairing synth & steel, it’s danceable, singable, cryable.
I co-wrote and produced it with my husband and fellow songwriter Jimmy Thow (Blake Shelton, Tebey, Joe Nichols) and one of my best friends and collaborators, Madi Diaz (Kesha, Little Big Town). We were aiming to make pain sound as exhilarating as it is when you love/hate someone with all your (broken) heart💖
